Casa Reina: old house of 1925 recently rehabilitated

The apartment is well located and looks just like the pictures. We had to wait an extra hour past check in to access the apartment because the previous guests left a bit of a mess. The cleaner was rushing so the floors were wet and the place smelled like cleaner but there were other floor areas not properly detailed. Overall our stay was quick and pleasant. We didn’t mind it but if you want a more quiet spot this street level apartment might be too noisy for you. We enjoyed the area a lot and the apartment was comfortable for a short stay.

Casa Reina was perfect for our stay in Valencia. Ten minute walk to the beach and 40 minute walk to museums and aquarium. We were there to visit our daughter and it worked out perfect. The house was clean and modern, no issues whatsoever. Carer da la Reina was a main route for the Holy Week processions through town which was a nice surprise. Pilar was quick to respond to emails but honestly we only contacted her about tickets to the museum. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Valencia.

Wonderful location! A short walk to wonderfully maintained beaches in a lovely neighborhood. Pilar's communication is stellar, and her recommendations for restaurants and places to visit were all excellent. Public transportation is extremely good in Valencia, and there are stops for the subway, trams, and bus within very easy walks of 2-10 minutes that take you anywhere in the area you want to go. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in this lovely place for 17 days. Setup is just perfect. Apartment very well maintained and equipped with everything for comfortable living. Pilar is very quick to respond to messages and reliable. Location is very good: few steps from the gorgeous beach, five minutes walk from the market and supermarket. Tram and bus stop few steps away and you can get around the city very easily. We loved the El Cabanyal even though I’ve seen bad comments about it . It definitely has a personality. And València is stunning!

Peaceful little space by the sea. Enjoy. Kitchen was complete. 2 Air Conditioners and terrace make it comfortable.For some guests, be aware it is on the ground level on a busy street with buses and benches. The home door is historic design and allows privacy and light. The same arrangement for the window would be ideal. I covered the window during my stay.

A beautiful house. Traditional with modern twist in a special part of Valencia. It is very close to the beach and there are several restaurants in the area with good food. Getting your groceries is also not a problem with bakery’s and supermarkets nearby. We very much like to recommend this place

As described, and in a great location just a few minutes walk from the beach. Easy to get tram or bus to city centre. Great communication from the owner - when we had a minor issue, it was dealt with quickly and efficiently.Would go back, and would highly recommend!

Great base in Valencia, our favorite area with easy access to the city centre. Great bar and restaurants nearby. The house was clean and tidy, well equipped, aircon was a must during the really warm weather.

The apartment is lovely, modern, clean and in excellent condition. Great neighborhood and a great host. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

The house was perfect. We had everything we needed and more!Located perfectly close to everything, Restaurant, Beach, grocery store, stores, coffee, shops.The host gave us a list of suggestion of activities to do during our state, we tried a few restaurants from the list and everything was perfect.Old building, renovated with all the necessities we needed.

Beautiful contemporary studio perfectly located near the beach, local restaurants and a short walk from the Metro. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Pilar was a helpful and responsive host.Cannot recommend highly enough.

The house is in a wonderful location located super close to the beach and with so many amazing local restaurants nearby. It is very spacious and has plenty of room for a couple of guests. I would highly recommend this property!

We were delighted with many aspects of this property. It was exactly as advertised in a historic part of Valencia with at least three excellent restauants within two blocks. Public transport is literally at the front door but walking to many local attractions is an option. The absentee check in was a bit problematic when the battery in the door lock was flat and we stood in the street (on a dark and rainy night) for an hour waiting for assistance. We also found, presumably because of the recent torrential rainfall, that the unit had a musty smell to it. And, when we left, we still had not found the promised ironing board. All things considered, we enjoyed our time in the property, would recommend it to a friend, and return if our travels should bring us back to Valencia.

Location of this former fisherman’s house - El Cabanyal (ground floor apartment) is the main appeal.El Cabanyal was a fisherman’s district & the charming colourful facades of the houses reflect this.The bonus of this property is proximity to Valencia’s stunning Malvarrosa Beach with its scenic promenade. Together with local traditional markets local cafes & shops made it great place for our week.Small & comfortable & after a slight key issue, we settled in. Some occasional street noise, but it did not impact us. Very comfortable bed & lots of storage space for clothes. 2 good AC units which provided warmth and cooling for summer. The apartment was warm enough in February with day time temperatures reaching 25 degrees, although chilly evenings after 7pm.Good transport : bus stop outside (No 19 to North Railway Station, a 5 minute walk to the Old town.The metro stops close by (Dr Lluch & Mediterrani) & a combination of lines 4 & 5 to get from & to the airport in 30 mins.Pilar provided useful local guide with restaurant recommendations all of which looked great. We preferred more informal dining options & can recommend the following:La Fabrica de Hielo - A culture centre hosting street food stalls, music & a great value bar! Mercader Cabanyal- Not far from the Cabanyal Area main market. Again a street food / burger/ tapas place for informal food & drinks.Pizzeria Ja Fritta - Tasty take on the Colzone Pizza, small & friendly fast food restaurant.

Close to the sea and beaches of Cabanyal. The house was very close to bus and tram stations. With the underground metro out of service because of the floods, we learned the busses and trams to get into the city center and to other parts of the city. The apartment is very nicely appointed with everything you might need. Clean and spacious with a very nice little courtyard that we used on several occasions. Being at street level you do hear the traffic and people walking by, but it is not that bad and at night things slow down and it is a very quiet neigh. There is a washer and clothes drying racks which came in handy on our long trip. We recommend and would stay again!

Pilar’s appartement is very clean, comfortable, cosy and relaxing. We felt at home ! All the amenities you need are provided. Nice to have a washing machine so we could pack lighter and have carry-on luggage only. We really enjoyed to be in a nice residential area. We went hiking in the surrounding mountains, cycling by the beaches and in the Turia on easily accessible cycle paths, explored downtown Valencia and the excellent aquarium… We opted for late lunch at the restaurant and relaxing evening and cooking supper at the apartment ! Great time in Valencia !

Imaginatively designed accommodation, that was perfectly positioned for access to the beach plus the bus and tram links into the city. We loved it.

It’s was amazing bad experience from start . When we came to the property , it’s was unclean and we reported about than to the manager. Communication was awful and really slow . We should left our staff in a property and make a 2 hours walk when cleaning lady makes her job . When we return we found out that some our food disappeared. Unfortunately we were totally upset and unpleasantly welcome.

It was an amazing, clean property in a great location. Host was responsive when we had a question. Wish we could have stayed longer!

The apartment is beautiful and as described in the listing. Location is excellent with the bus stop in to the centre of the city on your doorstep. Tram stop is only a few minutes walk away too, as is the amazing beach. Plenty of nice restaurants close by as well as supermarkets. We loved the apartment and the area. Communication with the host was excellent. We would not hesitate to return.

The stay was great! Communication with Pilar was so easy. Gave great recommendations for restaurants. The neighborhood was such a nice area with great food and easy access to beach and tram. Would definitely stay again
