Enjoy a relaxing holiday on the beautiful coast of Oaxaca or an amazing place to work.

Casa Olalé San Agustinillo is a beautiful large white house located in the quiet family fishing village of San Agustinillo, on the spectacular coast of Oaxaca, on the Mexican Pacific between Mazunte and Zipolite. You can listen to the wonderful sea waves from one of the 5 spacious bedrooms or from the terraces and balconies of the house.

You will be surrounded by trees and only a 4 minute walk to the beautiful beach and 10 minutes to the village where you can enjoy the fresh and delicious flavours of the restaurants of San Agustinillo.

You will feel in total communion with the nature around you. You will be able to enjoy spectacular sunsets and beautiful stars as you look up at the clear sky. We fell in love with these amazing and relaxing landscapes, just like us, we hope you will love them.

We are proud to announce that Casa Olalé has just received a prestigious international award from the ACI (American Concrete Institute):
First Place in Low-rise Construction 1-3 Levels - November 2024.

Our spacious rooms have all the comforts to make your stay as enriching and pleasant as possible: air conditioning, fan, body care items, dryer, Starlink Wifi....

The whole house will be for you and your loved ones.

Casa Olalé San Agustinillo has a sustainable design, with several attributes that reduce the impact on the Planet.

San Agustinillo with its desire to lower its environmental impact has a system of selection of your garbage: organic, inorganic (PET, cans, glass, etc ...) as we separate at home, such garbage to improve their recycling.

Water is a very valuable resource for the town, it does not have the infrastructure of a big city, since we value the conscious use of this benefit for the community. Within the sustainable design of the house, rainwater is captured for reuse.

The house has a biodigester for wastewater treatment, so toilet paper, sanitary napkins have to be disposed of in the trash cans, otherwise the installation and the biodigester will be clogged and a plumbing service will be needed at a cost to the guest. Thank you for your understanding and for your help in doing your bit for us.

Casa Olalé San Agustinillo was built in 2021 by a local builder with local workers and materials. The cement is low carbon to reduce the environmental footprint.

This desire to incorporate ourselves and be part of the place is a deep-rooted desire in us, that the house is integrated in the best possible way in the forest and that we support the community in the best possible way.

You'll be able to take advantage of the good sized outdoor pool. We try to use as few chemicals as possible, as we prefer not to use sunscreens as they make the water greasy and more powerful products are needed to clean it afterwards, which can be polluting.
There is a nice bamboo shower.

The kitchen of Casa Olalé San Agustinillo has everything you need to enjoy your stay: dishes made of clay lovingly created by a talented Oaxacan potter, cutlery, glasses, cups, frying pans, pots, blender, microwave, refrigerator, stove, oven, etc.

The spacious dining room has a large 4 meter table made of the best wood (parota) as well as its chairs. You can have breakfast, lunch, dinner with a beautiful view over the pool and the forest.

You can enjoy the warmth, friendliness and honesty of the local people, always welcoming and willing to help as well as the exquisite dishes in the local restaurants that are always full of freshness, creativity and if you like, with fresh fish fresh from the sea.

The shower water is hot and was a very important requirement for us as many hotels/rooms in the area do not have this amenity.

You can enjoy spectacular sunsets and the beautiful stars as you look up at the sky. It is a very relaxing place.

For your comfort, each room, the dining room and the kitchen have a fan and air conditioning. We try to do our bit, thinking about the environment, so we recommend you to turn off the air conditioners when you leave the room as they are efficient a few minutes after turning them on and try if the heat is not strong, to use the fan more.
The house is designed with wide walls, double height and with a natural cross ventilation with open windows that cools the house and the rooms.

Incredible stay. Huge, well-appointed spaces; great beach access; gorgeous pool with view to match; solid kitchen; very helpful hosts; close to town but nestled in nature. Most places in this area are very open-air style, and this house works great opened up with lots of natural ventilation. But what’s unique about this one is you can also play it gringo-style if you prefer (closing it up against mosquitoes, and turning on the air conditioning). Similarly, most places nearby have cold water only, which is honestly fine most of the time. But this place has you covered in case you want a (quick) warm shower sometimes too. Stayed there with extended family and it fit us well - lots of nice bathrooms, good sound separation for varying sleeping/waking times. It’s a mountainous area, so less active folks may struggle a bit (our late-sixty-somethings had no trouble). The path to the beach is reasonable (similar in slope to nearby towns’ main strips), though the vehicle road is the steepest I’ve ever driven (felt safe, but not for the faint of heart). I think alternative parking can be arranged if you have a car and you’re not comfortable navigating the slope. Honestly a great time, incredibly easy and hassle-free, super responsive hosts, and a great place to connect as a family.
