Stayed Nov 14, 2023We loved the private pool, AC in all bedrooms, view from bedrooms and pool. Parking was on the street, needed a stronger fan in the open dining area, kitchen needs an update and fan,

Stayed Jul 3, 2025Property has incredible views from every angle. House overall is very nice, clean and unique but entire house can use an upgrade. Gated community so we felt safe. The fishing spot is beautiful. I must mention that the property stairs to get to house are very steep and would not work for elderly (carrying luggage and other items was a workout for sure). We had an issue with the water pump and went without water for almost 24 hours! After pump was fixed, water pressure was extremely bad and felt like we were showering for hours as we were only getting drops of water. Master shower was completely out after pump issue (hottest bathroom in entire house). Kitchen is completely open air so cooking/eating we were drenched in sweat. Make sure you bring bug spray because mosquitoes will eat you alive.

Stayed Jun 1, 2024This house is amazing! My family and I travel a few times a year and this house is by far the best place we stayed. Erika, the housekeeper, comes in and explains everything for you. Your pool is overlooking the ocean! I never realized how nice it is to have your own private pool on vacation. You have plenty of space. If you don't mind walking, it's about a 1/2 mile walk down the road to a foot bridge that brings you to the pier and the town. We felt very safe. The one thing the photos do not show is that this house has a lot of stairs. To get from the front door to the street level you walk up 43 stairs. The house is on 3 levels. We did not mind the stairs and all the walking. I think the host needs to include the stairs and layout in the description. We were going to bring my elderly inlaws with us on this trip. I am glad we didn't because they could not have handled the stairs. I would stay there again and again! Make sure someone in your group speaks Spanish very well. Very few people in Zihua speak English. My daughter in law is pretty fluent in Spanish. I don't know what we would have done without her.

Stayed Feb 17, 2024We didn’t get to stay at this property. Before arriving there was a broken pipe and water everywhere- we didn’t know a thing about it until landing in Zihau. We were on our way, via taxi and was called with the fact this had been going on for three days! Upon arriving and seeing the place, we then had to wait three hours before being taken to another property and now this was not in an air conditioned taxi but two separate vehicles and yet our luggage was placed in the back of an old pickup. Along the route, the host told us of our options and other places to stay. We were given two options and yet those were just going to be available for only two nights. They said this place would be ready by then but after seeing the place and smelling the water damage we felt we could not stay here. (A second note as well, we were not at all impressed with the amount of stairs this property has and with no hand railings. Very dangerous and not at all fit for our needs and safety.) Anyway, onto day two and calling the host giving them our choice of properties he gave us he said the one particular was now no longer available. We were just getting a run around. I personally, after hours on the phone, said I found a place available and eventually we got in. We had a wonderful time at the new place BUT the price of what I paid for Casa Mia and this place was quite substantial so I am waiting for my refund. This was by far the worst experience we have ever had with VRBO.

Stayed Jan 5, 2024We loved our stay. Very private. Stunning Views, peaceful, easy walk to town. There are many, many stairs, so be ready! We are in our 60's but in pretty good shape, still, with luggage to get into the home and back up and out, it's a lot. If you forget your sunglasses in the bedrooms, you get some steps in! LOL Someone was suppose to meet us a the airport, a taxi, NOPE! Property manager said they would arrange it- That was stressful after a long trip, couldn't get on the internet at the airport, or call Oscar, so we finally flagged a cab, but he got lost. In fact, most of the taxi's couldn't find this house, it happened a lot, until we knew our way around enough to tell them. The taxi that was suppose to transport us out- ALSO got lost and we stood in the heat for an hour with our luggage at the top of the hill, until the property maintenance person, Jorge, saved us with the pick up truck and drove us to Ixtapa. The home needs a communication sheet, in Spanish and English with basic instructions, address, emergency info, etc. There was only Nescafe for our first coffee next morning. It was ok. The kitchen isn't very well equipped. There were some little black bugs in the drinking water, and we had it replaced- (then they tried to charge us for it- nope) Still we figured out ways to use the kitchen and made some great meals when we didn't want to go to town. The onsite staff was wonderful. All in ALL we loved our stay and would return. It was magical.

Stayed Oct 28, 2023It was outdoor living with a lot of privacy. The community is gated with security guards who are very pleasant. The house has a lot of stairs so being physically capable is a necessity.

Stayed Jan 13, 2023We had a great time at Casa Mia. Our favorite part was the swimming pool/view and that it was walking distance to town. We love Zihuatanejo and will be coming back every year!
