Casa Maravilla- Spacious and comfortable - & 5 min to the Plaza

Casa Maravilla was everything we expected, private and yet conveniently close to town. The casita was spacious for the two of us and had everything we needed for our comfort. Tara was the ultimate host, very responsive to our messages and treated us like friends. I would stay there again if we are ever in Taos in the future.

We had a lovely, serene stay. The location could not have been better - close to everything but nestled next to a beautiful meadow where we felt very private. The house was so comfortable with many amenities provided - including some delicious scones! Communication was great throughout but never intrusive. The hot tub was a rare treat after a very long travel day. I always try to come up with at least something “negative” so future renters know it’s real, but the only negative I can think of is that we had to leave!

Hosts were very gracious and the property so very peaceful and beautiful. The wonderfully yummy scones, milk and the well equipped kitchen was was a true delight. . A must for anyone looking for a place in Taos!

The house was super private clean and so relaxing. The hot tub was superb.

Charming 1 bedroom casita. Nestled in the Taos Valley and within walking distance to the plaza.

I wish I could have stayed longer. The place was large and wonderful, and felt tucked away with still being close. The hosts and caretaker were very good at responding to questions.

The setting is wonderful and the casita has a very spacious feel in the living room and kitchen for a nice little one bedroom, but again has a great rural field, and you get a nice little view of the mountains from the hot tub and even a little alpaca sightings!

Wonderful place. I hope to come back again. Nice location. Really nice property. Well stocked with everything I needed. Very quiet and comfortable.

Loved our stay at Casa Maravilla! Charming, warm and comfortable casita equipped with everything we needed. Location was absolutely perfect - peaceful surroundings, easy 15-20 min walk to restaurants/shops. Especially enjoyed the secluded, super clean hot tub (steps from bedroom door). Looking forward to booking again next time we visit Taos.

The accommodation’s location was perfect. The owners have impeccable taste in design and have thoroughly thought through every detail to make the stay nearly perfect. We especially loved the hot tub under the stars!

Loved this place. Easy walk to the plaza but still seemed private. Great communication. A beautiful place and so enjoyable to soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking.

We loved everything about this casita and our hosts. I practiced yoga on the porch and inside by the window seat … lovely view!

We really enjoyed our 4-night stay. We did not use the hot tub - but the property was very clean when we arrived and was located on a beautiful piece of land not far from town.

Casa Marcella is a bit of Taos country in town! The hosts have provided a home that makes you feel you are in Taos & not any ol’ neighborhood in any city. Don’t be thrown off by the country lane you turn down as you arrive—yes, you are at the right place! What a nice spot for morning strolls! In the evenings we were greeted by deer! It was very clean & many thoughtful touches. Don’t hesitate to book here!

I almost hesitate to review this place fearing that it will be constantly booked. It exceeded all of our expectations. We were greeted by Tara who lives nearby and shown the casa. QUIET beyond belief. Three outdoor sitting areas...shady veranda with table, and comfortable seats for reading. Spacious, airy and a perfectly stocked kitchen. Big shower, hot-tub for watching the sunset. Great walks. Only negative...we hated to leave to enjoy the glories of Taos.

We loved our stay at Casa Maravilla! The hosts were very helpful and provided everything that we needed. Check in and check out was a breeze. The location is perfect to walk to and explore the Plaza, and yet far enough away to give a wonderful sense of privacy. The accommodations were as described and so very comfortable. We plan to make return trips to Taos and Casa Maravilla will be top of our list for a place to stay!

Tara and Jean are the best hosts we have experienced over multiple VRBO stays. Their property has everything a guest could need for a relaxing visit in Taos. The house is beautiful and the property is quiet. We enjoyed coffee on the patio, watching stars at night , and convenient home base for exploring the area. Definitely will be back!

We loved our stay. The garden was so whimsical. The house had everything we needed. You feel like your in the country, but are in the heart of Taos.

We loved our two night stay at Casa Maravilla! I highly recommend this casita for travelers who are exploring the Taos area and want a clean, safe home base to relax and recharge. Homemade scones and the hot tub are perks! We opted to spend both evenings at the casita rather than go out to take advantage of the serene setting. Pizza, beverages and Netflix hit the spot after days of hiking and sight seeing in beautiful New Mexico.

The property is in great shape and located in a quiet and tranquil setting. I read a ton of favorable reviews before booking this location and they were spot on. Highly recommended for anyone coming to the Taos area.

Perfect casita that was comfortable, private, and homey. Such nice touches throughout! More lovely than the pictures. Awesome hot tub with gorgeous clear night sky, great outdoor dining (or in my case, writing!) spaces, and well stocked kitchen. Very comfortable bed and bedding, and the pull out couch was perfect for my teen. We are already looking forward to coming back!

The house is somehow even better than the pictures! We had a great time at the house and in Taos. The owners were very communicative and very nice.

If I could give more than five stars, I would. This little house was the perfect get-away for my husband and me. The casita is beautifully done - you can tell the owner is an artist. The colors are soothing, but lively. The art is beautiful. The lay-out and decor simple, yet cozy. There's a little gas fired stove, comfy living space, a hot tub. To top it off, the owner has thought of little comforts and conveniences, like leaving milk and scones in the fridge and laundry pods in a sweet metal dish on the washer. The place feels like it's in the country, but is a short walk to the plaza in Taos. We loved our stay!

Such a beautiful home away from home. We come to Taos every winter to ski and enjoy the area. We used to stay in hotels but found this place and loved the hot tub after skiing. Super close to town but very private. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing!! The hosts thought of everything we could possibly need and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. There were so many supplies that we packed that we are used to having to bring ourselves for other places that we didn't have to touch because they had everything!!! The space was so comfortable, the hot tub was amazing, and we couldn't say more about how much we loved staying here!

Very nice stay away from home while doing a week painting workshop in Taos

Tara and Jean Jacques have created a beautiful, tranquil sanctuary at the wonderfully appointed Casa Maravilla! We couldn’t have had a better experience and slept so soundly than we did at this lovely property. Our hosts have given so much attention to the little details inside and out that made our stay so comfortable and memorable. The casa affords all the benefits of enjoying dark skies at night in a peaceful rural setting and a short walk (and even shorter drive!) to all the galleries, restaurants and shops in the heart of town. A true gem of a place and people in Taos-cannot recommend enough!

This is the most amazing rental! Totally equipped kitchen, large bedroom with super comfortable bed! Lovely bathroom with nice big shower with great water pressure. Super comfortable couch. Awesome front porch with nice gas grill which we used a lot. The star of the show was the hot tub, which felt great after a day of hiking. Tara and Jean were super responsive and the best hosts on the planet. Very laid back and we felt like we had known them forever! We can’t wait to get back there and do it all over again!
