Inside the garden of Casa Lunia Guesthouse we offer this bright and spacious depandance (120sqm) with private entrance. Double-height open space, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, outdoor porch with perfect garden view to have breakfast or to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The location is ideal for families or groups of friends.
Casa Lunia is a corner of paradise in the center of Mestre. The double height offers a wide and very bright environment. On the first floor a bathroomwith tub and bedroom with a double bed (new) projecting on the ground floor. The latter enjoys a unique environment with a dining table, piano (tuned), a TV corner with a sofa bed, a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen (gas stove, fridge, oven, kettle, toaster) with access to external porch. Both beds have cotton percale sheets.
Our guests enjoy the total availability of the house. The garden is shared with the property of Casa Lunia Guesthouse. Fruit trees, an ancient well, a vegetable garden with seasonal vegetables with free access further enrich your stay. We offer the possibility of parking through the access to the Guesthouse and a reserved pedestrian entrance.

Mestre is a quiet and sparkling town at the same time. Casa Lunia is right in the center, a stone's throw from the main square and you can easily walk to shops, restaurants, pizzerias, supermarkets, cinemas, etc ...
We are 10km from Marco Polo airport, 17km from Treviso Canova airport, 1.7km from Mestre train station, all easily accessible by public transport or private shuttle. To go to Venice you can take a bus (the bus stop is 50m from home), a tram (5 minutes walk) or a train from the station. The travel time is on average 20 minutes. We do not recommend using the car to reach Venice as parking in the island is very expensive, your car will be safe in our garden. For those who want to visit the surroundings, with the car you can easily reach interesting destinations such as Padua, the Riviera del Brenta, Treviso, the hills of Prosecco, Vicenza, Verona, etc.
On arrival you will be asked to pay the city tax in cash. This tax is variable depending on the location (varies from city to city, but even within the same municipality there may be differences -Mestre and Venice city center for example have different rates-), and the type of structure in which you will be staying. Casa Lunia is listed as Pure Location in Venice mainland. The amount of the fee is therefore 2. 1 euro per person per night, 1.5 euro for children from 10 to 16 years, free for children up to 10 years, up to a maximum of 5 nights (for example, if should you stay a week or more, the tourist tax will be levied only on the first 5 days). Receipt will be issued. Emissions reduction policy: according to Italian and European laws for emission reduction, heating and air conditioning are limited to certain periods of the year. Normally the heating is usable from October 15th to April 15th and the temperature CAN NOT be regulated above 20 * C. As for air conditioning, the period of use goes from June 6th to September 3rd and the temperature CAN NOT be set below 24 * C. The Municipality of Venice reserves the right to change these parameters based on weekly emissions surveys (Arpav data).

Green oasis charmingly located in the city center. Everything is so close, perfect hub and spoke location to travel and explore Venice and the region. Luca is a great host, full of enthusiasm and useful information, ready to help when is needed and ready to dissapear if you want piece of mind. Property is pretty new but lovely spiced with ancient wooden, plaster and stone details. You'll enjoy backyard with hidden path between greenery, unwinding after full day of sightseeing or soaking up the sun drinking coffee in the morning - almost to wish to stay there all day and contemplate about meaning of life :) Everything is as described, even better. I would highly recommend this property, Luca as a host and this place full of history and beauty.

A great time in an oasis of birdsong in the heart of Mestre. The little house has everything you need, is spotless and private. Luca is a hugely helpful host.

Since only a few days we're back from the beautiful green oasis, which lies in the middle of the city Mestr-Venice. The magical property Casa Lunia has inspired us at the very first sight. Our cozy, very nice and clean cottage with it's beautiful garden was perfect for chilling and enyoing the sun. From that point in we could start our excursions, inspired by our very charming an nice landlord Luca, who was always there if we had some questions absolut citys all around Mestre. A very nice advantage has been the bus stop, which was almost 1 minute away by foot. We could easily join the bus and start the trip to the heart of Venivpce. It only took us 20 minutes to get there. Afterwards we decide, if wanted more to walk through the alleys or go by the Vaporettos. Even though Venice is contorted, we could easily found the restaurants and places Luca told us. The street map Luca gave us, was full of important an interesting facts, which has been helpful. Back in Mestre we went to the supermarket, which has got a very large assortment and it's not only 10 minutes away from our cottage. As we asked Luca which restaurant he'd recommended, he told us to go to the unbelieveable delicious Da Pino. Now we can say, he was totally right about the food there. The Pizza and Pastas tasted incredibly good. In the beautiful old town of Mestre you can as well find very delicious ice cream for dessert. At last we can say, we really enjoined our stay and we hope, we soon have the time to come back. We still weren' t be able to visit everything we wanted. And some places are just worth to be visited twice.

Having just returned from a weeks holiday in this little gem in Mestre, we would not hesitate to recommend Casia Lunia's independent apartment. From our first enquiry, Luca, our host responded to all communications very quickly and helpfully. We arrived earlier than expected but Luca checked us in, offered us refreshments and stored our luggage all before walking with us and pointing us in the direction of nearby places to have lunch. When we returned our luggage was in the apartment and what a lovely apartment it is! As a family of four, including two young adults, there was plenty of room and two modern bathrooms. Great air con as well, a must in July! The grounds are well kept and the apartment has a covered area which is ideal for eating outside. Our host took the time , over a lovely cappuccino, to offer advice and travel tips for getting around Venice and the surrounding area. There is a bus stop 2 mins away costing €1.50 each way and takes 20 mins to Venice (Purchase your tickets at the little tobacco shop nearby and always validate them on the bus!) There are a number of reasonably priced restaurants nearby and small supermarkets within easy walking distances. Trams and trains are also accessible but we found the bus handy and inexpensive, although busy at times. Luca's very helpful and charming manner helped us really enjoy Venice and the surrounding areas as this was our first visit to Italy. We would highly recommend!
