Casa Del Sol - Peaceful Retreat In Beautiful Mesilla.

Cecilia is a very courteous and kind host. The retreat is tastefully and originally styled and extremely comfortable. I will always remember my stay there as something special.

The casita was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The host was very friendly and the location was close to the historic downtown.

Everything was wonderful. Mesilla is charming as is the host. We used this as our base while exploring White Sands National Park and it was perfect. If we find ourselves in this area again we know right where to stay:)

Great location!

The property was clean, bright, cheerful, and relatively quiet. It had quirky furniture pairings, a modern bathroom and kitchen, and a comfortable bed. The owner even put fresh flowers on the dining table and in the kitchen. In all, it is a nice place to stay. The complaints I have are that the property sits directly on a main town thoroughfare which is dangerous to cross on foot if you are not agile or even slightly disabled. This makes it a bit daunting to walk the otherwise convenient two blocks to the plaza. Additionally, the backyard was dirty and uninviting to sit out in during any part of the day. And, curiously, the kitchen had everything but pots and pans to cook with. Perhaps they had been removed for some reason and the owner forgot to return them, but we could not cook the food we brought with us. In sum, aside from the inconveniences listed above, I would recommend it as a place to stay as long as you are prepared for these issues.

This was our third stay at the casita, and it was lovely as ever. Cecilia is a wonderful host, and her casita is warm, cozy, artfully decorated, and sparkling clean!

Even though we were there for only one night it was perfectly located for our visit to Mesilla. We really enjoyed our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our too-brief stay in Mesilla, and the property was well-located, right-sized, clean and convienent -- and above all, attractive and comfortable. It was good to meet Cecilia, and we'd be very happy to stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and comfortable and the instructions on how to use items in the home were very helpful. I also have to mention the lovely welcome flowers.

This was a wonderful stay! I’m so happy that there’s true options to stay in Mesilla. From this property, we were able to walk all over the square and walk home. This property has true parking. You don’t have to worry about finding space, you just get to enjoy it all. The host was so very sweet and there were very mindful touches. I really loved the art and decor here. I can tell a lot of love went into the space. I’ll be back!

Overall a great experience, very convenient to the Mesilla Plaza (3 blocks or less) and a quick drive to Las Cruces.

Everything we needed. The location is perfect for accessing the Square. Everything is walkable. Everything was clean and amenities were just right. It was our second stay, so you know we liked it.

Fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Excellent location, walking distance to coffee, good restaurants, and Mesilla Plaza. Lind but unobtrusive host. Good value.

Sweet casita in Mesilla historic district. Clean, well appointed. Location was excellent. Walking distance to plaza, restaurants, church. Wonderful stay!

This was our second time staying at Cecilia’s casita, and we will absolutely stay again. The little abode is nicely appointed, beautifully decorated, well-maintained, and very clean. Perfect for two people. The location is fantastic and within walking distance of many restaurants and shops (we got coffee at The Bean each morning.)

My husband and I stayed here to be near my mother in her final days. The casita was warm and inviting, and gave us respite after long days. The property is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Within walking distance of great food and the historic plaza. We had a great time and would like to return when we have more time to enjoy.

Seems that host is very suspicious of guests. Lots of rules posted for stays. Bed was horrible, hard, lumpy and squeaky
