You will love our fully equipped kitchen! Plenty of space to prepare a meal from simple to gourmet. There is a BBQ grill on the back deck as well.

Relax in from of the fireplace in the living room, which is perfect for chilly evenings together. Play the games located in the family room. Go for a hike just out your front door. And you must try the hot tub located on the lower patio which offers exquisite views.

Don't want to be inside Perfect! There is a covered patio offering optimal outdoor living spaces. Hiking is incredibly accessible, and you can be at any of the main attractions in minutes. It is a wonderful place to take a walk in the morning or at dusk, when you are most likely to run into our most populous neighbors- the elk, deer, & squirrels. They're beautiful, majestic & look harmless, but it is not advisable to try to pet or feed them.

Charming historic Deadwood is a quick drive from the house where there are ghost tours, hiking, gambling, and lots of history. Dining options are a plenty there as well as bars. If you visit over New Years, Halloween, Mardi Gras, or St. Patrick's Day, there are huge festivities happening. If you visit over the winter, there is a ski hill called Terry Peak that has all the terrain from greens to double blacks.

Fifteen minutes East is Rapid City which will be the easiest to do all of your grocery shopping, or shopping otherwise. There are even more restaurants there and if you are interested in any nightlife, this is the place you will want to be. There are tons of breweries and some of the best restaurants are Tandoor Bocado, Delmonico Grill, Tally's Silver Spoon, and the Independent Ale House for something more casual.

Just up the road toward Rapid City is Johnson Siding gas station. They have a beer and liquor selection, basic gas station foods, and a small pub. A bit farther is Mexico Tipico. These are the two closest places to get food and gas. No Bad Days Campground just west down the road has a tap wagon featuring 24 local beers, local wines, firewood and ice for sale.

Less than five minutes away is Pactola Lake where the views are endless and the water is crystal clear. Enjoy hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, boating, kayaking, fishing, or just hanging out on the beach. If you are here during the winter there is ice skating and ice fishing.

Please note that traveling in the Black Hills in the months of November through April you may need 4 wheel or an all-wheel drive vehicle.

Cleanliness is our highest priority! In between each group we mop all floors, vacuum all carpets, scrub all surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, wash all bedding and towels, and make sure everything is back in its place before our new guests arrive.

The owners will be available 24/7 during your stay! We want to make sure that all of your needs are met while you're in the home, so you will be able to call or text us any time of the day or night. The owners live on site with their friendly golden retriever, Margot.

Our stay was, overall, pleasent. It was a good location for the things we wanted to do. Check in and directions were easy enough. Our kids enjoyed being able to explore the hills around the house. Please be sure to read the description, THOROUGHLY. This is a basement rental, not the whole house. While the host was very respectful and you wouldn't really know they were there, you can hear the dog walking around above you. And, there is no temperature control on your floor. The host was very responsive, but it got very warm in the early morning and we were unable to get the temperature turned down. Would be nice to have control of the temperature yourself. The rental was very clean, however the hot tub was not. I do not admit to being a hot tub expert, but the water was filmy and there was lots of sitting residue on the seats and bottom.

Comfortable and peaceful. I did not like that dishes I used were dirty and some trash was let behind.

Good central location for everything we wanted to do in South Dakota. The 4th “bedroom” is a nook off the main area with bunk beds, so that wasn’t ideal. We had expected the two story home in the picture, allowing ample space for the 7 of us, but it’s just the basement of the main home (none of us read that far into description, lol).

We had a great time at Casa del Sol! There was more than enough room for my husband and me and our two teenage boys.

The hosts were great and accommodating. The location for our activities made this property great. It was a bit challenging to find the road to the property and we had no cell coverage. The only other issue was the water at the property was on a well and had a very high iron content. My wife and I cooked the entire trip and the kitchen supplies were basic but worked.

First thing I noticed Was that it was decorated and a groovy Brady Bunch 70s Vibe which was super cool. It was a cool week, weatherwise, and the thermostat was down, but a call to Kassidi resulted and quick service by Kevin, the maintenance guy. this property is newly built, and some small details were unfinished, but the location was incomparable. Central to all of the Black Hills area, parks and attractions with easy access to Highway 385. The lush sod was put in place on our last day and the fire pit lined. The fire pit was available and awesome on cool evenings. Lots of long evenings and nights up talking and no disturbances. Kassidi and her crew were cool and easy to deal with. I can’t imagine a better stay anywhere.
