Stayed Sep 28, 2025A very nicely appointed home. Views are ok, it's overlooking a low hill in so you don't get the spectacular ranges which are nearby. Could have used some pans (only pots provided) so cooking was a little challenging. Beds very comfortable, overall great!

Directions to get to the property were very easy to follow and it was a very relaxing stay. April is a fantastic host and very responsive to each and every question or need.

Stayed Apr 7, 2025What a sweet little house. It is in a perfect location to enjoy natural and the stars! We spent the day at Big Bend and this was the perfect place to come home to. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We didn’t cook but enjoyed the food in the area. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Jan 20, 2025The home was just as described, roomy and located in a remote, quiet, beautiful mountain location. The dark skies made for interesting stargazing and planet viewing (Jupiter and Venus were easy to see). We used the fireplace every night, and it was convenient to all the areas we wanted to visit

Stayed May 14, 2024We loved our stay here. It’s a bit of a drive to get into Big Bend but as our children still can’t make a full day of hiking, this was a perfect fit for us. Gave us time to slow down in the afternoon and cook a good meal, plus the views from the house were wonderful. The house was very clean and well kept and while still feeling like you’re getting away from it all, it’s only a short drive into Alpine in case you are in need of anything.
