Stayed Jan 5, 2026Pietro was very attentive to our needs and easy to communicate with. House was very comfortable and well maintained. We really appreciated having a pool to cool off in after pickleball. Sylvia cooked a memorable meal for us and is an excellent chef. Neighborhood felt like we were living with Mexicans rather than in a resort.

Stayed Mar 15, 2025There were seven of us who stayed at Casa Allegria. It is a wonderful place in a local neighborhood well located to walk to restaurants. One restaurant, just 1/2 block away, was great for breakfast and was called LaPerla Negra. We would stay there again if we return to Zihau. We all loved the pool and appreciated the daily pool check and cleaning. Pietro the owner and Silvia the local hostess were very responsive to our needs and even supplied the phone numbers for local cabs etc. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Enjoy your stay my family and I did.

Stayed Jan 8, 2025This home was the perfect retreat for us. It was a bit off the beaten path which we liked but still within walking distance to beaches, town, and restaurants. The home itself was lovely, private, and we enjoyed relaxing on the veranda and swimming in the pool. The host was super responsive and helpful with suggestions. We loved it here and hope we get to stay here again.

Stayed Jul 17, 2024The house was nicely furnished and the owner very friendly. We had two children with us that loved the pool. We were always out so we only seen the pool guy once but he was really nice and gave us food recommendations. Zihuatinejo can be hot so make sure to pack summer clothes. When arriving, Pietros housekeeping had water for us which was perfect since we were really thirsty. Theres a convenience store two blocks away to stock up on snacks and drinks. We rented a car and the house is located minutes from beach and minutes from city dining areas. Exiting the house to the right there's an excellent breakfast restaurant with owners that used to live in S California (our home). A street away there's a good burger spot. Best pizzas in town are 2 blocks away. If you google it I'm sure it'll come up fast. Safe house but like the rest of Mexico I dont recommend walking the streets past sunset. The owner Pietro was very informative and checked up on us in case we needing anything like extra cleaning or recommendations. Thank you Pietro for your hospitality! Stayed Apr 8, 2024We stayed for 9 nights at this property and were extremely satisfied. The house had all of the amenities our group needed and the neighborhood was a perfect location. There was a small store just around the corner that had everything we needed and everyone was helpful and friendly. Walking distance to restaurants, the beach, walking paths and centro. Can also easily hop on the local transit. Lalo looked after the pool and was fantastic and easy to communicate with. Pietro was also amazing and always kept in contact to ensure everything was great during our vacation. I would highly recommend Casa Allegra and will stay again in the future!

Stayed Mar 28, 2024I cannot praise this property, it's owner and his support staff highly enough! The home itself is spectacular, and Pietro respinded like a family member towhatever we needed, whenever we contacted him. He described zhiuatenejo as magical, and he was right! I will be returning one day for sure.

Stayed Dec 13, 2023The house is beautiful and has more room than we thought. Four bedrooms upstairs and 3 bathrooms with showers. Pietro was magnificent regarding his communication and availability. Silvia is also a fantastic cook for the times you may not want to. Kitchen is fully stocked and there is also a charcoal grill by the pool. It is an easy walk to Zihuatanejo Centro. Less than 10 minutes. Within 5 minutes of a pharmacy, a corner grocery , great restaurants (La Perla Negra and Chukos and Lety’s), and a fantastic coffee shop (Boxha) that also serves food and cocktails. You can also walk to Playa la Madera in 15 minutes. There are abundant taxis cruising by during the day to take you to Playa la Ropa and Ixtapa. You should bring earplugs because, being in a local neighborhood, dogs bark at unpredictable hours at night, there are lots of roosters who get started early, and there are occasional parties that last until the wee hours. Also would have been helpful to have a handbook at the house with information about taxis, restaurants, etc. Small things to help make this great experience even better. Gracias Pietro!

Stayed Nov 18, 2023Could not be happier with our stay. We've stayed in VRBO'S all over Zihua and Ixtapa for more than 12 years. This was the cleanest and most comfortably appointed one that we've experienced. It is back in the neighborhood a bit, but an easy flat walk to everything from Madera beach and downtown to Mega Soriana for groceries. Wouldn't hesitate for a second to stay again.

Stayed Aug 1, 2023The house itself is beautiful. Property is big, decent size pool. Close by to almost everything we needed, restaurants, Oxxo stores, pharmacy, and most important the beach. La perla negra restaurant which is literally at a walking distance from the house was absolutely great. Highly recommend for breakfast. The house was great, clean when we arrived, can’t say much about the staff because they never went/showed up all but the first day we arrived. According to the owner the house would be cleaned every other day and not once did they show up from the 7 days we stayed there. Kinda sucks when they’re charging so much and extra for cleaning services and it doesn’t get done. Overall it was great, washer, refrigerator, stove, all rooms with AC and most important…..WI-FI and NETFLIX were included.
