Carter's Getaway Drummond Island vacation rental

Everything was great but those sunrises were the BEST.

The queen beds are not super comfortable, but there were enough beds that we all could sleep alone. The grill is not ideal for bigger meals, best for things like hot dogs or burgers.

Very clean!! Everything you need is there. Awesome sunrises. Good communication by the caretaker & owner. Internet was slow, but rebooted the router & it was faster. Definitely would stay here again.

Loved our stay! House was a great price, especially for being right on Lake Huron. Everything was very clean. Sherry (property manager) was right next door and SO friendly. Not too far from “town”. We would definitely stay here again.

Carter’s Getaway was everything we needed and more for a small family fishing getaway. The property is more beautiful in-person than conveyed in the pictures. Amenities were excellent and the kitchen is well stocked. The property is comfortable and cozy with beautiful sunrise views over the lake. Host communication was pleasant and timely. Overall, great experience!

Everything was great! This was our second year staying at this property for our annual fishing trip. Looking forward to next year.

Beautiful location! House was clean with a quiet neighborhood. Didnt spend a whole lot of time at the house since we were out trail riding.The neighbor dog visited with the kiddos

Home was very clean and at a beautiful location on Drummond Island. Everything we needed, and then some. Amazing view from the deck and right on the water, in a very quiet neighborhood. Property Manager was very nice and check-in/out was easy. Loved the Island and will be back again for sure!

We love carters getaway. We’ve stayed 4 times now. We love the location of the house and the comfort. However, this year the firepit was a big inconvenience and quite hazardous. Getting down to the water and dock are a little tricky for children as well…I would imagine older people would also have a hard time accessing it which is a bummer.

We stayed for a girls weekend with sisters and friends of over 59 years. We stayed 5 years ago and stayed again this year. Nice house.

Check in was simple. The view was fantastic. My boys loved catching crayfish! Everything was cleaned and well stocked.

I want to come back up now! Beautiful, peaceful family-friendly home! You will not be disappointed!

Goal play gold in all 50 states. Michigan was our final state and we played the Rock on Drummond Island! House was awesome and loved the Northwood restaurant.

The home is lovely and well taken care of. There wasn’t anything that we needed that wasn’t available. The shoreline is very rocky so pack your water shoes! We had an amazing time!

We enjoy cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed. Loved the primary bath shower. Home was VERY well equipped. Fire pit was challenging but pretty to look at. Beach view was beautiful but we didn’t go in the water. Overall we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend staying there.

The house was very clean and well kept and very accommodating for the five of us. We were on Drummond Island to go on our annual fishing charter weekend.

Family friendly, great place to see beautiful sunrises, plenty of parking for trucks, trailers and jeeps. Close to ferry.

My husband and I along with his sister and her husband came to celebrate all of our 10 year wedding anniversaries. It was an amazing get away with many laughs. The cabin was perfect. Very clean, well stocked and plenty of space.

Excellent location, beautiful views, and just a really nice place to stay. Looking forward to next years trip.

We love Drummond Island and we loved this home. it was as described, very clean, nice beds. We enjoyed the quiet, the stars and the loons on the lake. We went ATVing on the island, hiking and riding the backroads. We enjoyed dining at Northwood Restaurant and Esthers which are nearby. Drummond Island is a great place for those who want to get away from civilization and enjoy the outdoors. Carter's Getaway is a great place to stay.
