Good food choices in town. Carlton is smack in the middle of wine country, minutes to well known, quality producers - but it is small, quiet and laid back. Bravo, be back next year!

The house was perfect for 7 of us in town for a wedding.

We flew in from California and had the absolute pleasure of hosting Christmas with my husband’s side of the family in this beautiful home. It offered the perfect balance of comfort and entertainment for guests of all ages, making our holiday truly special.With the rainy weather, the indoor fireplace kept everyone warm and cozy, creating the most inviting atmosphere. The spacious kitchen and large island provided more than enough room for preparing our Christmas feast and gathering together throughout the day. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the showers felt like a resort-level retreat—such a treat after long days of family time and festivities.One evening, our family took a walk down the street to enjoy the Christmas lights, which added an extra layer of magic to our stay. We were also lucky to meet Cindy from the cleaning crew, who was so welcoming and pleasant—it truly made us feel at home.This home exceeded our expectations, and we will absolutely be back next year. A perfect place to make lasting holiday memories.

This was the ideal location for our family group of 10 to celebrate an early Christmas. Easy walk into town and the two children in our group appreciated the back yard and “toys.” Loved the comfortable accommodations and the fun decor. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home! We very much enjoyed our stay. The inside space was comfortable and clean. Due to the weather, we were unable to take advantage of the outdoors.

We had a wonderful stay, great weather and tastes some great wine. David is a great host and very responsive. The house is beautiful and has just about everything you need.

Property was very nice. Loved the layout and the multiple seating areas depending on whether you are looking for privacy or for being together. Management contact was immediately responsive to questions while on property and someone was on site within the hour when we needed help. From the description I thought this was a pre-planned, enclosed community of houses that included a pool and would be easy to bike around. I never saw a pool (it was too cold the days we were there anyway) and I wouldn’t have felt safe biking into town on such a busy road/highway. But the walk to town was easily doable by everyone in our group. Overall, a great property for our group that was more generous than most with availability of coffee, spices, oils, sweeteners so you don’t have to go to the store for every little thing. We would stay here again.

This house was perfect! Plenty of room, great kitchen and close to everything we needed or wanted. Wi-Fi was also great for one of us to work remote one day. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and utensils. Even scotch tape for warping a wedding gift! Love the windows, but the Dino g room light was a bit dim

Carlton Gates was a perfect house for our family of three generations. We came for a family wedding. Lived the location, with walking distance to the park, shops, tasting rooms, and restaurants. There was lots of room in the four common spaces and outside to enjoy each others company. It was a great stay

Celebrated a birthday and had 10 people at the house, with 12 total for dinner in the dining room one evening. Everything was perfect! Beautiful property will all the necessary amenities for an enjoyable trip to the Willamette Valley. Host communication was clear and concise.

We had a wonderful 4-night stay! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Everything we needed was provided, and the location was perfect for our plans. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive. We’d definitely stay here again—highly recommended!

This home has everything you could ever need. Very clean and very comfortable. We couldn't get the TV to work in the TV room so maybe some better instruction of how to use the universal remote would help. This really isn't even a complaint because each of the other TV's worked with the Comcast remote. We had an amazing stay. Quiet neighborhood, bikes available to ride and we loved having a small fire on the fire table. If you have a dog or small children, be aware that the yard is only fenced on 2 sides.

We enjoyed our stay. The home is spacious and good for groups. Well appointed and has everything you need for a lovely visit.

A group of friends spent two nights here enjoying the space and the solitude. This is an excellent house for 4-6 individuals or couples. 4 nice rooms and a couple of couches if you need them. The kitchen is fantastic—nice cruiser bikes to explore the town and very nice furnishings for a relaxing experience.

My group has stayed here three times. I think that should demonstrate how wonderful it is. The layout, the decor, the kitchen, the location, the outdoor space, the host…I could go on - everything is exceptionally well done and executed. Our stay was great, as always. I’m sure we will be booking it again!

We loved our stay in Carlton. The house was perfect, clean, spacious, well equipped. We cooked thanksgiving dinner and only needed to bring the food. The kitchen was totally stocked with tools, cook ware, etc. The bedrooms were well maintained. Everything worked. We did not need to contact the host during our stay. We all came in from other places and would love to stay at this property again.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Carlton Gates! It's a clean, thoughtful home that is perfect for hosting a large group or family. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable. The owners thought through every detail and it shows. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

Beautiful...and best equipt rental ever! More kitchen tools than we have at home! Excellent design for a large group of eight. We served a (pre wedding) breakfast to 24 guests with no problem! Would recommend for any special occasion.

Four of us took our first trip to Oregon wine country. We had a fantastic trip. We were impressed with the incredible scenery from the time we left Portland. The home was exactly as the listing showed. It was comfortable and roomy. The location was perfect. We walked into town daily for meals. We will be back.

We held a board retreat at this home and it was perfect! Plenty of space, large dining room table, great kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms, and the landscaping outside is wonderful. We had a great stay and highly recommend. Everything was perfect!

Stayed here with extended family during our son’s wedding weekend @ Ghost Hill Cellars. The house is gorgeous and accurately described in the listing. Perfect location for easy access to Main St. in Carlton (walking distance). Melissa was very pleasant to coordinate with and was quick to respond to all our requests prior to the weekend. We could not have asked for more. Highly recommend!

The property is gorgeous and was super-clean when we arrived. The Dining & Living rooms are very large, if dimly lit, & the couch in the Living Room is really comfy. The foosball corner is a bit cramped. The Master by the garage is large & has its own thermostat, and the Dining Room has a separate wall heater; the rest of the house is on the central heat/air unit. The Master beside the driveway is HUGE! The bedroom across the hall is small and has just a small closet, while the front bedroom has a closet & a built-in dresser, so more storage than the other one. The kitchen has lots of plates & bowls, as well as spices that others have left behind (check before you go shopping). Food prep utensils (measuring cups & spoons, for example) were hit-and-miss - though there were three pizza cutters! The electric Jenn-Air oven & cooktop gave us some trouble (it took a long time for the water to boil on the triple-burner, and an instruction manual for the oven would have been a great help), as did the stainless steel pans (which my son uses at his home, but these seemed to stick a lot). You should probably know that your pet can't roam free (no fence on 2 sides of the yard), the Theater Room can't be darkened (it's open to other rooms), and, as of July 27 (when we left), there were zero Blu-ray or DVD players, so we couldn't play the videos we brought, which was quite disappointing; nor was there a video or music library. Overall a great place, just not quite as listed.

We Loved loved loved this house! Perfect location, beautiful yard! Lots for the kids to do! Carlton was such a cute town! We wished we could’ve stayed longer! Everyone was super comfortable in this lovely house! Will definently be back hopefully!
