Canyon Lake Tree House

The home was clean, in a great location, and has an great view of the lake.

First I want to say the host Brian was Awesome! He is so understanding and has the patience of steel. (I called him Michael for some reason and I apologized as soon as I realized it too!) LOL..I had a horrible start to my trip trying to leave the DFW area. I was frustrated and had mentally checked out, my gps decided to freestyle the last 30 minutes of my arrival, so I called Brian (who was so cool and helpful). Once I arrived, I had another mental check out moment and Brian assisted me until i was able to get in. The neighbor checked on me and offered his assistance as well. My stay was perfect from check in to check out. The place is Beautiful! It is fully stocked with a lot of what you need. I love the retro style decor and appliances. Ceiling to floor windows, the Sunsets and Sunrises, just a perfect space for a getaway! I spent most of my time on the porch. I ordered my groceries because I wanted to stay in and enjoy the view, wildlife and peace.It was a short walk down to the boat dock and lake. Although the lake is low, you can find areas to access the lake. The water was clear cool but nice! The weather was perfect that day. I strongly suggest water shoes! And keep in mind the hike back up to the house. I would definitely rent The Tree House again for more escapes from the city.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at The Treehouse. The view of the lake from the deck and from inside looking through the wall of windows is amazing! We saw a deer climb up the hill while sitting and having our morning coffee. We looked forward to watching the sunrise/sunset over the lake. The house is exactly as advertised and very comfortable. There are plenty of outdoor activities and restaurants nearby. The host, Brian, is quick to respond to all communication and the check-in process was flawless. I highly recommend The Treehouse for a relaxing stay.

There were so many things I liked about the Treehouse! The view #1 also the comfy bed, functional grill, efficient a/c, abundance of hot water, and even without a working oven, we had what we needed in the kitchen. I really appreciated the large rope along the steps leading to the house & the light switch at the top & bottom was a great safety addition. Brian was quick to respond to my questions and the description was accurate except for the idea that we couple park a fishing boat on that very narrow road—not a good recommendation. The decor was very nostalgic for us having been born in the 50’s & I enjoyed the candles in the fireplace. We were very comfortable & very much enjoyed our stay. Hope to come back again.

Great location love the vintage style of house.

Quiet and quaint lakeside house hidden in the trees. The host made check in easy and gave local recommendations for activities and dining. The house was well stocked with necessities and made for a great experience. Our host was very responsive to all requests and questions and we really enjoyed our stay.

The view, the location, the price. Could not ask for anything more. We will be staying here again.

Great small house above canyon lake. Even though the lake is very low, the view was relaxing. Very quick and easy conversation with owner.
