The host was the most responsive host I've ever dealt with! The house was very clean and cozy. If you're looking for a down east experience, this is the place! We will be back!

We enjoyed this unfussy and cheerful apartment. Beautiful view, and the sunsets! The place was nicely decorated but not cluttered, with a well-outfitted kitchen. We were there mainly for bird watching, but there are also good restaurants and beaches not far away. Mahonie helped us carry our things up the stairs, loaned me his crab trap, and even drove us around to show us a good trail. It's a little unclear in the listing, but the upper floor is where the apartment is--the lower part is not yet renovated. However, the upstairs has a better view! This was a great place to stay. We also liked Frisco and Buxton, which are where people actually live full time, so they are not quite as touristy.

We had a nice stay. Enjoyed the view and the ease of launching our kayaks . House was cute and clean. Our dogs enjoyed the trip. So glad it was pet friendly.

We had a Sunday to Sunday stay. An hour after we got there we got the evacuation order for Hurricane Erin. We left right away and didn’t even get to spend one night in this charming home.

Anyone looking for a quiet stay right on the water, this is the place. Clean, easy to get to, with several outdoor activities available. The local restaurants in Frisco, Buxton, and Hatteras served delicious meals. We highly recommend Sandy Souls!

The house and property were fantastic. Scott was always quick to answer any questions or issues we had. Having access to the water was a big plus. The bugs weren’t as bad as other reviews said, but we were there at the end of June. Normal mosquitoes and a few horse flies, but you’ll find that anywhere near the water. We had kayaks delivered from a local rental company, which I recommend. They have their own private boat ramp if you have your own boat as well. The property is big and private. Sunsets were awesome! One thing I would recommend is bringing an extra beach towel, there was only one towel in the house per person.

We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 5 years now and we stayed here twice this year. Both times were fantastic. It's perfect.

Was such a cute place and my husband loved being able to fish right next to the house! It was the most well stocked rental we have ever stayed at. They had absolutely everything you could need. Great location too. Great sunsets and sun rises.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The proximity to water access was amazing! We brought our kayaks and enjoyed launching them right from the backyard. The sunsets were incredible! We loved the screened porch - perfect to sit and enjoy the views from.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property. The house sits right on the water and we enjoyed the views of the sound from the balcony porch. The owners were so kind and easily reachable. Highly recommend!

Sandy Souls is a magical place. We loved everything about it. It was super clean with everything you need, and very cozy. The front porch was a lovely place for morning coffee. We also saw beautiful sunsets every evening. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We could of asked for a better place to spend a week! The house was very nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The dogs loved swimming and playing in the yard. The fishing was great! We even got to see a Manatee on our last night there!!!!!

Laid back beach life…loved it!

We absolutely loved Sandy Souls! It was so peaceful and off the main road. My family and I had an amazing time there. We were able to bring our boat along and use the private boat ramp which was very convenient. The house was so clean and had absolutely everything we needed while staying there. We felt right at home there. When it was too windy to go in the boat we were able to fish right from the yard and there was plenty of room for my grandkids to run and play. We will definately be back again as soon as we can. Thank you both so much for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

My wife and I really enjoyed the house and property. Far enough away from the crowd, but close enough to experience the wonders of the OBX. My niece and nephew had a ball fishing in the canal. Can't wait to go back next year when the bottom floor is finished. We left with heavy hearts and Sandy Souls.

We had the best stay, perfect location. It was quiet and peaceful with a great view but close to restaurants and shopping. The house had everything we needed and was very clean, bed was confy. The window AC units are a bit loud but thats to be expected. Bring bug spray if you sit out by the water, the mosquitoes are thick!
