Canal Front, small dog ok, dock, screened private pool!

House is set back from the road and has lots of foilage between it and the other homes. We enjoyed the many porches. Loved having the bay view and the dock to fish and kayak (I used the VayK credit to get a kayak). The screened pool was awesome. My husband loved having the elevator and it definitely made it easier to load/unload. Well stocked kitchen with Keurig and coffe maker and the coolest toaster I have ever used. The home is a short walk (10min) to the beach and it was fun to try out the different routes. The plantation has lots of fun paths if you are up for a long walk/run/bike. We spent a morning playing pickle ball but didnt try out the rec center since we had our own pool. It is a bit of a drive to get back to the main area of the island. We did venture out most days and went to Eastpoint Brewing (Tuesday trivia), Webers Donuts, Paddy's, Big Fish Cafe food truck (great food and prices), Captains Corner (biscuits), the new Bayside coffee shop (located in BJs pizza), Apalachicola Chocolate& Coffee (whole key lime pie), 13Mile Seafood (fresh shrimp, grouper), Owl Tap Room and Dockside in Apalachicola, plus visits to the state park, ANERR, Apalach Home Tour and the Dwarf Cypress boardwalk in Tates ****. Lots to do! The pool screen had a huge tear in it but they sent someone to fix it on our first day. Some of the posts on the dock/stairs are a bit rotten and wobbly, so you need to be careful. The stove is gas, which I also have at home, but I thought it should've had some instructions, as some burners required using a lighter to light the gas. Overall a great rental.

This home was perfect for our getaway! Sky was clear for some amazing star gazing.

Our stay at Saltwater Charlie's was perfect! The quiet and solitude made for the most relaxing beach house vacation; between star-watching on the dock, drinks by the pool, board games in the evenings, and walks on the beach we really made the most of the everything the house had to offer. Would be a great stay for families or some couples. Make sure to look for the Milky Way at night from the dock!

We spent lots of time with our kids in the pool, enjoyed coffee on the screened-in deck each morning, walked to the beach, and launched our kayaks off of the dock. We were also happy to have both the weight room and large, clubhouse pool available. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the house was clean. Loved everything about our stay!

Property location and grounds were beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The layout of the house was great for our family of 4. The kitchen had everything you needed for cooking. The screened in porch is a great feature and the space under the house is excellent. The dock was another bonus and had access to the bay for kayaking and paddle boarding. Would stay here again.

Great stay!

The property and house were very clean and comfortable. It’s so quiet and peaceful. The pool was perfect for our kids to play in and the screen added the much needed protection from the bugs. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The beach is not far at all and easy to access.

Reviewer Comments: Our family has been staying at different homes throughout the Plantation for many years and we can say that SWC is one of our favorites on the bay. We loved the screened front porch for afternoon napping and the kitchen was perfectly organized and well-stocked. Everything was immaculate and all the beds were very comfy. We also loved the feeling of privacy amidst all the surrounding trees and foliage - but still had an amazing view of the bay and the beautiful sunsets. Also, a shout-out to the staff at Forgotten Shores who were on the ball when we had an internet problem - they were very kind and considerate overall. We hope to be back to visit SWC soon!

The home is located off the main road in the plantation and has beautiful water views. Very spacious and comfortably furnished with plenty of indoor and outdoor spots for relaxing and dining. Don't miss watching the sunset on the dock! We enjoyed watching the fish jump and hearing the bird call to each other. We look forward to another stay here!
