Bob's on the Bayou is a great camp on Bayou Manchac close to the Amite River in Prairieville. You can put your boat in at Fred's about 2 miles down Highway 42. Bob's has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed each room) and 1 bath with a large living area.
With Bayou Manchac right off your private deck you can enjoy kayaking, skiing, lots of watersports or just hang out and watch the sunset.
Wal-Mart Market and Rouse's (local grocery) are minutes away.
Bob's is just 5.5 miles down Highway

Stayed May 9, 2025The house was very clean and well kept. It had a beautiful view of the bayou. My little girl LOVED it and we sat on the porch just soaking in the water snd animal noises. I loved how clean the house was. Totally recommend staying here if you are looking for a nice quiet get away!

Stayed Mar 2, 2025We enjoyed staying at the camp so much. My granddaughter wants to go back as soon as we can. It was so cute. The neighborhood kitty cat came every day to visit. The house had all the amenities that you could ever need on a stay away vacation.

Stayed Nov 29, 2024The camp was just as advertised. It is cozy and has all the basics. We had a short stay and it was cold so we weren’t able to take full advantage of the outdoors. There is a nice deck with seating overlooking the river. The bedrooms were comfortable and the shared bath was spacious. The washer is located outdoors under the house and the dryer is indoors-both worked fine. There are many places to eat and get supplies within 5-7 min including a Walmart. Overall we had a good stay and would return. Thanks!
