Stayed Apr 5, 2026Beautiful home with incredible mountain views. Star gazing from the hot tub was our favorite! Make sure you bring food as there’s only one small true grocery store in town and supplies/hours are limited. Loved it and would absolutely come back!!

Stayed Oct 25, 2023Having an electric car I was well pleased to see a charging station for it! Place was great. Well kept up, good vibes, stunning location and great communication with the owners. Will definitely return! Was there with my well traveled friends from London, who also were taken aback by it. Book now, you won’t regret it!

Stayed Oct 18, 2023Lovely stay at a very unique property. We visited the sand dunes and the alligator farm and loved having a quiet get away at the end of the day. The geodome, hot tub and stargazing were amazing! The hosts were very helpful and responsive.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Beautiful house! Quiet area. Great views. We loved the kitchen. The town of Crestone was not far, so easy to get groceries. Crestone has a traditional and an organic grocery store. Recommend the restaurant Food is Art in Crestone. This was perfect for what we were looking for. Highly recommend

Stayed Feb 13, 2026This property was absolutely amazing!! It’s the perfect place for some relaxation in the most unique way. The geo dome, hot tub, fire pit and star gazing bed make it worth it to just stay in and enjoy the property. We’ve already recommended it to some friends and will probably be back ourselves someday.

Stayed Feb 8, 2026This was such a fun experience in a stunningly beautiful place. It was impeccably clean, well stocked, and host Dan was very responsive. It’s always nice to know small nuances and for those coming I would say: bring firewood for the wood burning stove in the geodome. It is very expensive to buy locally, and is much more comfortable than the very loud heater that is inside. The full flight of stairs to the living area and kitchen meant we helped carry groceries for our sister who has joint and mobility issues, but the sleeping is on the ground level for suitcases. There was a discrepancy between the listing and the quoted cost of a late checkout, which we ended up not needing anyway. The outdoor living area was so cozy and we enjoyed several of the local attractions and art galleries. The sunset from the picture window and stargazing in the hot tub was a highlight. I definitely recommend this property if you’re looking for a lovely, relaxing getaway in an impeccably maintained property.

Stayed Oct 27, 2025This Geodome and Cabin was the perfect combo for my family with teens. The kitchen had the right cooking utensils, and pans to make anything. The tub was at the perfect temperature and had such a peaceful, quiet atmosphere to the area. Perfect location to see all the things we wanted to see

Stayed Oct 6, 2025Geodome was massive! It's way bigger in person. Three different heating systems to keep you warm and you'll need it in the winter months! Whole property was well maintained and the interior was very clean. The views were astonishing and framed well in the windows. The lighting was perfect on the 2nd floor and the matching furniture was such a nice touch. Stargazing in the pergola was great and had a net to keep bugs out which was a really nice touch.

Stayed Aug 3, 2025We loved this property... very private, comfortable and some of the most amazing views of the Sangre de Cristos! Dan (the host) was accommodating and active in making sure we had everything we needed. The geodome was a fun experience and gave us plenty of additional room to hang out and sleep. If we are in Crestone again, we'd definitely stay here!

Many small touches throughout the property made life easy and our stay enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to Great Sand Dune NP!

Stayed Jul 23, 2025Listing says 4 bedrooms,,, which it is not. There are 2 bedrooms in the main house and they're trying to pass off the geodome as 2 bedrooms. The dome has 3 beds that are just seperated by a small wall with no bathroom. And the geodome stinks of plastic or vinyl so much that you wake up and your throat hurts...i won't be back

Stayed May 9, 2025I was overall impressed with this space. It was very clean, including the hot tub, which is not always the case when you’re renting so I really appreciated that. The location and view of the mountains is to die for I loved how the house was set up in a way that you’re always looking out a window at the mountain no matter what room you’re in. It really created the perfect birthday weekend for me and my friends! Highly recommend

Stayed May 1, 2025I enjoyed the space with my wife on our honeymoon. It was clean and things were clearly communicated and they even have a binder to help us make sure we're square. They responded to our questions in a timely manner and was not unreasonable. The hot tub was a welcome change for the desert and the dome was quite the experience. Our dogs were there and appreciated the cozy place too. Great Sand Dunes is an hour away, but definitely worth the drive.

Stayed Dec 16, 2024The price is very reasonable for a location that can fit up to 8 people. The geodome is very special, although it is cold in Dec. The two-floor house itself is great. Especially there are big windows and a deck on the second floor, which is great for people to enjoy their coffee and watch the beautiful sunset and mountains. The property itself is very clean. Supplies are all there. It is also convenient for us to drive just less than 15 min to reach a grocery store to purchase food and snacks. It is very quiet and safe. It's an excellent location for an escape from cities and work. The property is a 1-hour from the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Zapata Falls. The only thing is to watch out for the unleashed dogs (possibly from neighbors).

Stayed Oct 12, 2024We booked this home as it is posted as being in very close proximity to the Great Sand Dunes. While the VRBO posting indicates the home is 4 minutes from the park, it is actually over an hour drive. We did have a fantastic time. The property was beautiful and clean with the exception of fruit and house flies in the main living area. I would recommend it as a great get away relatively close to the national park but be sure to plan accordingly.

Stayed Sep 6, 2024Loved our stay! Wish we had another day to truly enjoy all components of the property. Only thing that seemed silly was charging a rental fee for the sand dune boards. If you go to the beach, the beach equipment just is a perk of the property. Would still rent here again!

Stayed Aug 8, 2024What an awesome property for a family to stay! The geodome was so cool and gave a separate space so the entire family can spread out a bit. Time around the fire pit was awesome. We didn’t get to stargaze as it was cloudy while there. The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen very well stocked with utensils and basic supplies. The home is a bit remote, but that was the point of the trip.
