Another hidden treasure deep in the woods, the menhir of Pierre Attelée, a megalith of nearly three metres listed as a Historical Monument. Take one of the many cycle paths or footpaths and visit the famous Serpent d'Océan, a work by artist Huang Yong Ping, part of the Estuaire Trail. Check the tide times as the reptile only reveals itself when the sea is low. Do not leave without having tasted the famous Galettes Saint Michel and take a break on the wall of the lèche whilst enjoying the ice creams from La Fraiseraie in Pornic at the foot of the Bluebeard's Castle.
