Bright, spacious, private beach home. Big backyard, firepit, deck. Family fave!

Easy check in and we loved the house and would like the same weeks next year

Donna and Steve were quick to respond to inquiries as we prepared for a family vacation. The comfortable updated home is perfectly located between the Bay beaches and the Ocean beaches. Shopping for provisions in Orleans or night life in P-Town are easily accessible. The 1/2 acre fenced lot w/outdoor shower and fire pit is comfy and private. The kitchen is well provisioned and even has sharp knives.

This house offers a very welcoming, well-stocked, comfortable, spacious base for your Cape Cod stay! We arrived on a hot and humid day, and immediately appreciated the four A/C units on two floors. We didn't use the basement except to do laundry, yet it would really be a bonus if there's a family with kids for that all-important second hangout space.Outside, as you'll see in our photos, there is ample room for introverted time (important for our family) and we made use of the large lawn and deck to read and nap. We enjoyed multiple meals at the patio table, and used the grill. It also helped that the weather was perfect and being outside was so pleasant, not really buggy.Since our family loves to cook together, yet rental places can vary from what is promised in the profile, we tend to travel with pantry ingredients, knives and cookware. This time, I did not even unwrap my own knives, and we used many of the Yonchak's utensils, cookware, and spices!On the immediate block, several of us had morning runs or walks most days and the quiet streets definitely lend themselves for exercise routines. For those considering this location, know that there is not much town center in Eastham for tourists; we did not mind since the access to BEACHES (we went to seven) was perfect. For our town mood times, we simply drove 10-25 minutes to Orleans and Provincetown.Dana gave prompt responses before, during, and after our stay - it's so appreciated! Thank you.

We loved this home! The Barking Urchin is quiet, private, spacious, and extremely comfortable. It is convenient to both ocean and bay beaches, and located near good local businesses. The kids loved the yard, the firepit, and the couches that seem to hug you whenever you sit down. Communication with the owners was excellent. I cannot recommend this home enough; when we come back to the Cape, we would happily return here!

We had a great time staying here. The house was clean and had everything we could’ve needed. Great outdoor space especially for the kids and awesome outdoor shower. Owners were responsive and easily contacted. We will definitely be back!

This is our third summer staying at this property. We cannot get enough! The location is perfect, as well as the yard and the house. We can’t wait to go back next year!

We had a great time at the house and in the area. It was a perfect location for our son's weddding. The interior of the house reminded us of a cabin in Gatlinburg. The yard was was beautiful and we enjoyed several nights by the fire pit. We highly recommend this house and will rent it again on our next trip to the Cape.

Barking Urchin is in a perfect location and is very comfy and cozy. You will find everything you need there. The outdoor shower is the best we’ve ever experienced! The outdoor space is so relaxing and enjoyable. Dana was great to work with!
