We have been to Ocean Shores many times, staying mostly in town. We loved this south location which is quiet, and the house itself feels very private. When we walked onto the dock, we were greeted by a few otters swimming. Our little dog enjoyed the yard, and we walked her in the neighborhood and on the beautiful Weatherwax Trail. We discovered the Oyhut Bay area with a bakery, brewery and other shops. I brought my kayak and had a great time kayaking Duck Lake. I decided to start from the boat ramp at Chinook Park because the house's dock is a bit high from the lake, I'm 70 years old, and I was concerned about how to get in and out of my kayak from the dock. No big deal, as Chinook Park is nearby, and I may be a whimp because I saw many similar docks with kayaks sitting waterside. There are so many canal trails you can kayak, and the lake is huge and a lot of fun! The house itself was beyond our expectations, with a lovely view, super fully stocked kitchen with what looked like quartz counters, many games, lots of TV choices, outdoor seating areas and a comfortable King-size bed. The owners provide many thoughtful amenities, including large baggies for your leftovers, and a bowl with items like Swiss Miss chocolate and packets of trail mix. Truly, they go the extra mile. I'm already planning our 2026 trip to Ocean Shores and hope to stay here again. Peaceful, pretty, ideal.

Cute place in a great location in a quiet neighborhood. It's starting to show a bit wear and tear, but most things were functional (almost couldn't take a shower as the bath to shower switch over wouldn't completely switch). Kinda wanted to have a fire in the backyard, but didn't feel safe due to the encroachment of the hedges and trees. The kitchen was great and the king size bed was nice. The view through the windows was great, just wish they had set up the curtains to open outward so they wouldn't block the center view from the living room. Thanks for letting me and my doggo stay!

This property is located close to the ocean and abuts a nice canal. There is a sturdy little dock you can sit on and watch birds and dragonflies from: very relaxing. They aren’t kidding about the “sunny” aspects as, when it isn’t foggy out, the western sunshine streams into the front room. Don’t leave chocolate on the counter top!Ocean Shores is a nice area and there’s a lot of fun things to do and places to eat at.The only issues worth mentioning are: the single bathroom’s toilet is tiny, as in it’s too small for adults to use comfortably - it’s a child’s sized toilet; also, there was (is) a Dirt Devil vacuum in the main bedrooms closet that has never been emptied and, as I found out the hard way, reeks when ran. Overall, even with the aforementioned issues, we liked staying here and appreciate the owners making this available for rent. Also, for a pet friendly place, it’s relatively clean.

This is a super clean little house with a lot of charm. The kitchen is well-stocked with all of the cookware and supplies one would need, the bedrooms are nicely kept and we love the deck and dock. Second time staying here and we are already looking at our calendar for next time. We so appreciate that we can bring by our dog with us too. The neighborhood is extremely walkable, with quick access to the interpretive center. The tides have reclaimed the beach access that was nearby but that didn’t take away much from our time there. The beaches are great and quick to drive to.

My husband and dog enjoyed our stay. Great location on the canal. Lots of wildlife. Really cute cabin. We enjoyed nightly fires. The bed was super comfy. The house was clean and well stocked. The owners were quick with communication. The toilet is on the small side, but so are we, so it didn't effect us at all. The neighbor was doing a little construction and an alarm of some sort was going off on his property for a bit, but he was very kind and it only impacted our stay the first night.

I am senior and the only way to sleep on the rock hard mattress was to pad it with spare pillows. There is no air conditioning so in the afternoons I could not sit on the wonderful, soft clean sofa to read since the heat was more than I could tolerate. The rug in the living room was so dirty I rolled it up. There were nice, thoughtful touches like cold filtered water in the fridge, dog bones, and Band-Aids available. I did not stay the last night because I needed a good sleep.

Great space for a small group- it was ideal for my friend and I. I liked that kindling was left and the s’mores ingredients were much appreciated. We did a fire in the pit two nights and hanging out by the water was relaxing. House was very clean, but there was quite a bit of broken glass trapped in a fold up chair and to the right side of the house. That could have been an issue for a pet or anyone barefoot.

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. We spent most of our time in the Quinault Rainforest and in a town called Seabrook. But we liked this little area. There is a place down on the beach about a 15 minute drive where you can ride horses. That was a lovely experience and was 100% worth it. Everywhere else is a bit of a drive but I liked that we weren’t far from the beach. Not much else to do in this town but the house had all the amenities we needed for 4 women. It’s a nice quiet retreat for those looking to connect with Mother Nature. The host is very responsive as well. We will be coming back for sure!

We celebrated our 31st anniversary at this cute, cozy cottage. Was a little surprise that it needed some major TLC. The shower and bathroom sink did not drain well. The hot water tank in the bathroom was very loud, we could hear it in the bedroom all night. The sliding door was very hard to slide.

Property is well-located close to beaches, town, restaurants, and shopping. The deer and bear visitors were fun, and we enjoyed fishing off the dock. A few suggestions for improvement are offered: cleanliness of nooks and crannies could be taken up a notch. Toilet is very low for tall people or those with joint replacements. Supplies left were inadequate for a foyr week stay.Bathroom sink drains are very slow. peiop
