The home is very light and airy . The house has 4 large bedrooms and a very large kitchen and living room-with a opening between the two rooms. Leather sofa and side chairs that recline. The master bedroom suite has its own full bath and a foam top queen mattress. There is another full bath on the same floor and one in the basement. Two of my kids, three of the grandparents, my wife and I spent a delightful and relaxing week at this well-equipped and perfectly-located house. The beach is three hundred yards away. At low tide we walked a mile out on the sand flats and fished for striper in the channel. At high tide we dived off the rocks into the sea. We washed off in hot water in the outdoor shower. We lounged in the screened-in back porch. We will hope to stay here again.
We had a nice time at this home. The location can't be beat, literally a 4 minute walk to the beach! And dangerously close to Kate's for fried seafood and ice cream :) The bedrooms are set away from the main living space and are decent size. Both main floor bathrooms have tubs, great for small kids. No A/C outside the master but the house cools nicely with windows open and fans running. The yard is great, lots of little bunnies hopping around! The owners were wonderful to communicate with, very accessible to us during our stay. We would give this property a 5 if it had things like bed linens, nicer bath towels, curtains to block the morning light, more beach gear, basic condiments in the fridge, etc. These are things we've had at most other cottages we've stayed in over the past ~35 years. We also felt this lease was slightly restrictive about guests, towels, and 100% emptying the refrigerator. Overall we had a great time and would stay here again.
We had a wonderful time at this location. It is a very short walk to one of Brewster’s bay beach that offer great walks on the bay with low tide and safe swimming with high tide. It is close to many of Brewster’s highlights - a gristmill that makes cornmeal, a very kid friendly museum and not to forget the ice cream around the corner! The owners of the house gave clear helpful instructions pertaining to the house.
We had a great week with our family. The house is spacious with cathedral ceiling living room and a screened porch. The beach is a few minute walk and every day there is a low tide. Be prepared for the water coming back. Beautiful sunsets. Great house for family time. Thank you David and Dana.
We all wished we had spent more days at Cape Cod in this rental! It’s proximity to Saint’s Landing was key! There were 7 of us in the rental and we were very comfortable! Beach is right out the door practically; we could walk to the house for lunch in minutes and then head back to the beach! We even got permits to go clamming and the big kitchen had all we needed to steam them and have a feast!! Plenty of fans helped when it got humid and very hot on 2 of the days! The breezes along with one portable ac unit helped out a bit too! We loved the large rooms and the enclosed porch off the kitchen! The bathrooms were cheery, clean and newly renovated! There wasn’t a clothesline or set up to hang up beach towels at the end of the day but there is a washer and dryer! The basement is musty but we really didn’t need to use the area a whole lot except for the washer/dryer! And it is a basement afterall! There is a bathroom in the basement too that was utilized when the two upstairs ones were in use so it came in very handy! An outside shower would be key too; which may be in place next summer! The owners were super easy to work with and we hope to rent this property again in 2019!
Dana and Dave were great with communication and responsiveness. We had a great stay. There are four rooms and two bathrooms on the ground level all updated and clean with plenty of beds. There is an older bathroom in the basement, but we did not use it. The walk to the beach is very short. My four children loved how close it was. There is an outside hose to the left of the entry that we used to spray off sand. The home is also very close to the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History which the kids loved. It was a great launching point to visit many different towns as well. We missed the note to bring your own bed linens, but found a TJ Maxx 20m away in Orleans that had plenty.
