Beautiful property! Very spacious for a large family gathering. This was out second visit and we couldnt have been happier. Tons of space for the kids to play, plenty of bathrooms and bedrroms. Multiple kitchens and refrigerators. The kids loved the rec room in the main house and the hottub. Host is very responsive. We look forward to coming back next year!!
This was a perfect location for my family, my brothers family and our parents to spend a week together (6 kids, 6 adults). The house is large enough to spread out, the kids were able to hang out without being underfoot while other read, played games or just chatted. The beach has significant erosion but the kids loved swimming and searching for interesting stones anyway. We had a beautiful week.
This house was perfect for our group. We brought our adult children and their spouses/sig others and there was a perfect set up for all couples to have their own room and bathrooms. The beach area was small but all we needed since we brought a baby with us and staying on the property for the day was much easier than lugging everything to the beach!
We stayed here for a family reunion and enjoyed the amenities this house has to offer. Kids enjoyed the basement full of air hockey, pool, and ping pong. Adults enjoyed visiting on the back deck with beautiful views of the lake. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and lake for swimming. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook and prepare meals and there was a nice pantry area for storage. Bedrooms were plentiful giving everyone space to spread out a bit. While this place was a perfect backdrop for our family reunion there were some things to be mindful of when considering to rent the space. The beach area is rocky and hard to get in and out of the water. Not an area I would consider great for swimming. The rooms and seating is plenty however there is not a great gathering area for the whole group to come together. The kitchen is probably the best place for the that to happen but not for just visiting. The house has a vast eclectic collection of ships and decor lots of it at arms reach for small children. It is off a busy highway thankfully the house is in a bit from the road. Just some things to consider when booking. The host was great to communicate and respond quickly. Very friendly too.
The property is beautiful. Lots of room and all the necessities needed for a holiday weekend.
The property is perfect for our family with 6 daughters and all of the grandkids. This is our second year here and we enjoyed it even more. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms and the setting is perfect
This property was great for a family reunion. Each adult couple had their own room and bathroom and the 5 “kids” had the bunk room with their own bathroom. The big kitchen was great for preparing large meals. There was enough seating in the dining/kitchen area for our group of 16. The ping pong table in the basement got a lot of use as did the fire pit. The lake shore isn’t as “beachy” as some wanted but is great for the rock hounds. Sam met us at check in to give a walk through of the property and was very responsive to the slight issues we had.
The property is beautiful and huge. This is our first time coming to the Lake Huron side of Michigan and it was fantastic. The water is crystal clear when there is not a storm (even out to 10-15 feet deep), refreshing in temperature but even our 2&3 year olds were swimming in it. The sand is not as nice as Lake Michiganbut it was more than adequate for buidling sand castles, you just need shoes to walk distances on the beach with the number of rocks. The house has every cooking utensil, toy, game that you can imagine and there are three kayaks that come with the property. We brought our bikes but while an adult could get a great ride in on the road with the wide shoulder, we did not feel comfortable even with the wide shoulder due to the speed of the cars going by. This isn't negative, just want others to know in case you are considering bringing bikes. Sam, the property manager was excellent and was available for any need that we had.
We loved staying for our parent's 50th wedding anniversary. Day trips to Lexington and Port Sanilac, afternoon at the beach and kayaking, family dinners, evenings at the campfire were only some of the highlights. Great family memories ❤️
The property was beautifully landscaped, and the homes were clean and well appointed. The property had many amenities from the kayaks, hot tub and game room, that the entire family enjoyed.
Beautiful spacious home and property that met the needs and wants for 3 generations. Our group of 12 enjoyed the outdoor space and beach area. The hot tub was a welcome surprise for us old folks. Indoors the kitchen area, extra refrigerator, and storage shelves made meal prep and organization a breeze. The bedrooms are large; the bathrooms plentiful and newly renovated. This was our first trip to the Lake Huron coast and you’ll not see a more beautiful sunrise anywhere.
