It did have a better couch. Stained sticky notes all over the kitchen, faded personal artwork from just looks unkept and uninviting. Having said this, the rental company folks were awesome. The cleaners fine. No problem there. It seems clear that the owners are not investing anything back into this property, except paint for the outside.

The location of the home was perfect...right on the coastline to enjoy and all the charm of Yachats, yet quiet and peaceful for a relaxing getaway.The vacation rental itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. It had everything I needed for a smooth and enjoyable stay. I especially appreciated the small touches that made the space feel welcoming and cared for.The management staff was also very helpful and responsive. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and the check-in process was simple and stress-free.I would definitely stay with Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals again and would recommend them to fellow travelers looking for a cozy, reliable place to stay on the Oregon coast.

Fantastic location and very nice accommodations. This worked perfectly for us and had a great view and easy walking into town for shopping and eating. It was also conveniently located to many great locations, hiking, and views. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to stay on the coast.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Breakers is how coastal cabins used to be: simple, small, and quaint with an amazing view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was well appointed and we felt very taken care of as guests even in such a small space. It's perfectly situated where everything is a short walk (into town, along the 804 trail, or through the wetlands). But its biggest asset is the view! Being able to sit on the lawn, in the comfy recliners, at the breakfast bar, or even in bed and look unobstructed out to sea and watch the waves crash over the rocks below is priceless. You may even see whales swim by, sea lions surf the swells, and eagles soar overhead. We'll definitely be back to this classic gem in the Gem of the Oregon Coast!

This cabin is cozy, cheerful, clean and it just feels like home. You can tell the owners take pride and care in making this cabin a comfortable place to relax and reset life. It is a short walk to town with pubs, fun restaurants, shops and the grocery store. What's better than walks on the beach, exploring tide pools and listening to the crashing ocean waves all night. We have been staying here for over 20 years and plan to come back every year.

We enjoyed hiking to the beach and along miles of forest and coast line, and loved the window seat while playing backgammon.

It exceeded any expectations in that we were both mesmerized by the wave action and spent very little time away from both high and low tides. We were so taken that we scheduled a week at the beginning of December of this year.

And we keep returning to The Breakers (the little red house) because it is perfect, in every way - for us. So homey and comfortable, simple, dog friendly. The bed and couch are comfy, the kitchen has everything we'd ever need. The decor is personal and welcoming. Like coming home, but without the 'to-do' list!

Enjoyed it all right on the beach.. walking forever with the dog and friend at low tide just out the front door. Fabulous kitchen with a view. Jacuzzi tub in one bathroom, and awesome master bathroom with a view.Then to top it off a rooftop hot tub to star gaze while soaking.There was a little issue at check in and management responded immediately and took care of us so well… everything was perfect

Perfect house for the 2 of us, for the end of January we had perfect weather. I can see why the Breakers is almost never available so happy we finally got the chance to stay here for our 19th year together!!!

This cozy, studio home is perfectly located for walking to the center of Yachats or along the 804 trail. The view is stunning whether from inside or on the bench along the cliff. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed comfortable. There is a well placed mat for putting wet shoes right inside the main door. I hope to return before the year is out.

Cozy, homey, comfortable. They have thought of everything, from a squeezee for the windows to coloring supplies for the kids. And, of course, they have the requisite linens and cooking utensils. The view is amazing. I didn't want to leave.

We really enjoyed our time in this sweet spot. It was homey and cozy, felt nice and private once inside, and the view was incredible overlooking the ocean with the rocks below. A small public pathway next-door leads down to the rocks. Very dynamic and beautiful. The location is great. A short walk to town, and a great trail along the coastline. We were very comfortable and happy with our stay.
