Very quiet and cozy. Nice view of the Lake. Game room with pool table in basement. Second floor bedrooms finished nicely.

Beautiful setting. House was charming and host was welcoming and responded immediately if we had a question.

The house was clean & well equipped. Cozy & welcoming!Communication with host, Kate, was easy & informative regarding restaurants, things to do etc. Would definitely recommend the place!However we were expecting the house to be closer to downtown Vermillion & that was our only disappointment.

This home has everything you need for a wonderful lakefront stay. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes' drive from downtown Vermillion, the lake views were extraordinary. All of the bedrooms as well as the dining room have expansive views of Lake Erie, and the deck is perfect for relaxing while listening to the waves and watching boats and birds (we saw two bald eagles!). There’s no lake access from the house, but there are several nearby parks with nice—and dog-friendly—beaches. The house itself is as exceptional as the views. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the wifi is fast and reliable. Kate was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We will absolutely choose to stay here again when we return to Vermilion!

First of all this is a beautiful place to stay. The area is close to a park and if you like to walk or jog, it can't be beat. Showse Park is close to most cottages.There is one bedroom downstairs with a connected bathroom. Two bedrooms are upstairs and a bathroom. If anyone is staying upstairs, make sure you bring a blow dryer because there is only one downstairs. Also, the bedroom to the right as you're going upstairs should have room darkening blinds because the neighbor next door has a miniature light house that is on all night and lights around the house that are on all night long.They have a nice sitting room downstairs if you need privacy if you need to work or read a book. Nice open concept when you walk in, living room and kitchen, dining room. Nice view of the lake. No access to a beach or the lake. Downstairs is a pool table and bumper pool table. About a five-minute drive to town. All in all, this is a beautiful place to stay, and we would stay here again. Excellent communication with the owner.

This house is georgious. Deck overlooks the lake, basement is awesome with games to play, and I've never been at a better stocked rental. Will definitely be back!!

Large rooms, well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens and paper products, even some raisin cinnamon bread and butter with coffee waiting. Many home improvements and updates, but furniture has been well used. Beds are comfortable, but be aware there are no window coverings in upstairs bedrooms or kitchen windows that face the water. Owners were responsive to concerns and questions. Overall rating of experience is 8/10. Street repairs are ongoing with early morning noise also.

Great location with fantastic view of Lake Erie. Short drive to downtown Vermilion, which is a must-visit. Communication with host was excellent. Check-in was a breeze. Very clean. Lots of room for everyone. House was well-stocked with everything we needed to feel at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful view of the lake and spacious

For the past 45 years or so we have been vacationing in Maine and loving it. We looked for somewhere closer to home this year not wanting to do the long drive and my daughter suggested along Lake Erie. The pictures of this cottage looked so inviting and the description of the area seemed exactly what we wanted. Kate hits it out of the ballpark with this house. Yes, it was close to home but on top of that the cottage is just like home - she supplied everything we needed ( loved the coffee and breakfast bread etc., she left for the first morning ), the furnishings are lovely, so comfortable - especially the beds. We ended up spending most of our time on the deck ,reading, looking out over the Lake , drinking cups of tea (and occasionally wine !) We did take a quick drive into Vermilion and loved the shops and restaurants. Everything here was so convenient with grocery stores and places to eat so close by. .There is also door-dash and grubhub if needed. As my daughter left to drive home she said 'This is the best place ever! I have to agree.

great 2 weeks. even though they were ripping up the streets in front of us to install new sewer pipes the contractors went out of their way to keep us happy. kate runs a great place thats why we come back almost every year

Beautiful house with amazing lake views!

The pictures do not do this house justice. From the time you walk thru the door it is breathtaking. House is fully stocked and the owner even leaves you a little breakfast pack. Kate is great to work with house is immaculate . Thank you kate, looking forward to coming back

We stayed over Thanksgiving while visiting with our youngest college student who attends school nearby. The well stocked kitchen had everything we needed to cook a great family meal! We loved cozying up on the L couch for movies in the evening and using the big kitchen table for board games. Having the bumper and regular pool tables in the comfortable basement kept us occupied despite freezing temperatures. The lake is gorgeous and can be enjoyed from several big windows in the house. We enjoyed a quick and cold walk to the nearby park to dip our fingers in the water and that was about the only time we spent outdoors as it was quite windy and we are soft southerners now. Plenty of room, good bedding, abundant towels - we really had everything we needed to just cozy up and spend time with our college student children. Nearby grocery was well stocked and the TeKila Tex Mex restaurant just a couple blocks away has good take out

The interior photos do not do Kate’s property justice. The craftsmanship is evident in every room. The beautiful hardwood floors flow throughout and the attention to detail make this home inviting the minute you walk in. The kitchen is the most well stocked of any property we have ever stayed. Looking forward to our next stay.

This home on the lake was simply spectacular! The host provided us with breakfast and coffee and the check in process was a breeze. Lake views in all 3 bedrooms and the dining room/ kitchen. Can’t say enough about how beautiful the house and lake views were. Cherished memories were made. I definitely will be interested in staying here again.

We loved our time at this property. It’s the perfect combination of being cozy while also having all the amenities. Out on the rear deck, the lake stretches out to the to the horizon, and inside the rooms are fresh and the open floor plan gives lake views out the large windows. The local grocery store is packed with all the essentials including a deli, and the main area of vermillion itself is less than 5 minutes away. Everything we hoped, highly recommended! Well appointed home with a gorgeous view of Lake Erie. Owner communication was great. We loved staying here while exploring the Cleveland area. The lake shore drive is scenic with lots of great towns in the area. Would love to stay again if I am returning to the area.

Highly enjoyed the layout of this updated lakefront home. Kitchen is more than fully stocked with multiple sets of dishes and glassware along with any other kitchen tools you can imagine. Unfortunately it was a cool rainy weekend for us but loved watching the lake from the windows. Awesome lightning storm the one night

We planned this trip for our 25th anniversary. We and another couple booked this house for the lake view. We are not disappointed. Gorgeous northern lights graced our last night's stay. This is a perfect location for a foray into Cleveland. We visited the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. We had many great meals at the local spots. Thank you, Kate, for suggesting Rudy's. Breakfast at the Pavillion was excellent. Brummer's chocolates and the candle store are a must stop. We travelled East to Danny Boys for lunch one day, and several beaches for sea glass. We will definitely come back to this house for a future visir to Put In Bay and so many places we didnt get to in 3 days. Thank you for this stay.

Property was well kept inside. Outside deck area could use a bit of work. Some deck chairs were sorely in need of repair/replacement.

We had a wonderful time at this lakefront home. The updates were very well done and although we never cooked or baked, we did see what all they had to offer and the kitchen was abundantly stocked for whatever you wanted to make. The host even provided a tasty pastry for our first breakfast along with coffee and half and half.
