Moultonborough, New Hampshire
Stunning brand new home in quiet Hanson Cove of Lake Winnipesaukee. Sleeps 9. The house has an open concept kitchen/dining/living room, 4 bedrooms, and 3.5 baths. It features two master bedrooms, one on the main level and one on the second floor that has its own balcony. Two additional bedrooms on the second floor. Three season porch and decks have great water views. There is a large dock with deep water docking for up to a 25' boat. Sunset views complete the package in this quiet setting.
Amazing location on the lake! We spent alot of time on the decks & kayaking, paddle boarding & fishing! Jay & Alice your house is beautiful! Thank you!!!
We really enjoyed our week at this property. Relatively new and well designed house that has lake views from most rooms. Great dock area and a nice place to swim. Not much boat traffic, so swimming and kayaking was fun.
Our family was glad to have so many beautiful spaces where we could be together, but also places for quiet times away from others. The house had everything we needed, and more. We especially enjoyed having use of the kayaks. We also thought the location was great, on a quiet part of the lake, which meant we saw and heard lots of loons. And, we were happy to be near good hiking trails. We would all be happy to return.
Only great things to say about the property. Great views, super clean, everything you could need. But the highlight for all of us was the amazing location... calm, clean, deep water with beautiful sunsets and extraordinary wild life. It was a slice of heaven for this kayaking enthusiast!
Our family of 5 (two boys ages 3 & 6, and 8-month old baby girl) and grandparents had the most wonderful time at Jay's and Alice's house. The house and setting was perfect for us. As other reviews say, the pictures don't do this property justice. We had a blast swimming, fishing, kayaking, and boating. Jay was extremely responsive before and during our stay. I would highly recommend a stay at this property.
Jay's home is even better than it looks in the pictures. We had plenty of space and were very comfortable.
This is a beautiful high end property. The first floor master bedroom was very helpful for older family members, and the lake location on a cove was a plus in a quiet corner of Winnipesaukee. Several loon sightings as well as a bald eagle!
You won’t do any better than this beautiful and tastefully decorated new home! It is almost too nice and hip to be a rental but we are very happy it is. The home is so nice inside; the views so spectacular; and the decks, docks, kayaks, outdoor fireplace, etc. so perfect that there is simply no reason to leave the property. The beautiful views from almost every room made you feel as though you were immersed in nature and the sunsets every evening were amazing. The kitchen was the best stocked for cooking that we have ever had with many gadgets, pans, and serving utensils/dishes. Jay was simply the best - and responded virtually within minutes to our questions throughout the stay. Don’t hesitate to book if you are fortunate enough to find an opening.
Although we opted for a rental house within driving distance due to Covid, what we thought was a limited trip ended up being one of our best family vacations ever. Consistent with the photos, this home is clean, comfortable, nicely-decorated, and well-appointed. The best part is the location right on the lake. Our family of two adults and two young adult daughters loved waking up to gorgeous views, sunbathing and reading on the dock, watching for loons, and being able to get in the water so easily (once we got used to the cold, that is!). We made ample use of the kayaks that come with the house, even enjoying a sunset kayak around the cove. We also loved the there was a fire pit right at the lake's edge, where we could relax in the evenings and make s'mores. The kitchen and outdoor grill have everything you need for meal prep. Because not many restaurants in the area have outdoor eating spaces, we opted to cook several dinners at the house and did so easily. . The house makes a great base for day trips. We did two hikes near Castle in the Clouds, only 20 min. away, and a more challenging hike in the White Mountains, about an hour's drive. There is also a sweet farm about 10 min. away (near Jojo's market) for blueberry picking and Moulton farms for cider donuts and great produce. The surrounding neighborhood is somewhat inconsistent in the upkeep of the properties (not a big deal since you spend your time on the lake not on the road); however, we found a five-mile loop from the house that wound us to a lovely residential area, where we enjoyed going on runs. Finally, I have only praise for Jay, the owner of the home, for his clear communication and responsiveness to questions. He goes above and beyond to ensure that renters have everything they need for a comfortable, trouble-free stay. We feel grateful to Jay and his wife Alice that they open up their beautiful property for others to enjoy. It truly is a treasure and a place we would rent again in the future.
The house was perfect! Beautifully decorated, beautiful views!!! Loved the dock right off the property,! ! Had a wonderful time with our family! Just watch out for rocks in the lake if you’re renting a boat!
