For Horse Lovers and Racing Fans--
Saddlestone's neighbors are thoroughbred farms including Glencrest, Audubon, and Margaux farms. The Hunt-Morgan House, located in beautiful, historic Gratz Park, is also open for tours. On the Frankfort side, you can visit Daniel Boone's grave in the Frankfort Cemetery or take in a tour of Rebecca Hunt Candy. Shakertown at Pleasant Hill is a wonderful place to hike, bike, and dine. Perryville Battlefield became the site of the most destructive Civil War battle in the state which left more than 7,600 killed, wounded or missing. The Perryville Battlefield park museum tells of the battle that was the South’s last serious attempt to gain possession of Kentucky.

Birthplaces of Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Both presidents during the Civil War were born in Kentucky. Lincoln in Hodgenville and Davis in Fairview.

Nice country style home with plenty of bathrooms. It’s hard to find enough bathrooms and bedrooms with a larger group. Owner was great to deal with.

Charming country home, clean and well equipped. The four bathrooms were a big plus. Enjoyed the pretty outdoor area. Nestled in horse country the house is only a short walk to a lovely winery. Owner very helpful-would definitely go back again.

This was our second stay at Saddlestone Cottage, and, once again, everything was exceptional. The kitchen is more than adequate, and everything is so clean. Communication with the owner great. Plenty of seating for everyone. We didn’t lack for anything. Plus, having the winery right across the road is great!

This home is beautiful and well appointed. The beds are super comfy and it was perfect for three couples with each bedroom having its own bath and a half bath downstairs for everyone to use. The winery is across the road and beautiful! We will definitely be back!

It is a beautiful and clean home. There was plenty of room for 6 adults in the house and around the dinner table. There is a newer pergola in the back of the house that wasn't listed which was a nice surprise. I would stay here again.

The house is even better than the pictures show. Everything was great!! The bedrooms with bathrooms were large and had everything needed. The yard was beautiful. The house was the cleanest house we’ve ever rented. The kitchen is fully stocked. Beds and furniture were comfortable! We walked to the winery and it was amazing.

We liked the amount of space in the bedrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed including two types of coffee makers. It was beautifully landscaped and in a great location. We would stay again next time we hit the bourbon trail.

This was the perfect house for our trip. We met up with two other couples and each bedroom has its own bathroom, it is located close to town with conveniences and central to many distilleries. We arrived a bit early so we hung out at the winery and had a great time! At the end of each day, whether we made dinner at home or played games and laughed, we all felt so comfortable and cozy. Highly recommend! Just be careful on the stairs; they are very slippery.

Property was nice, easy to get to. Cute three bedroom each had its own bathroom. Complaint is, the toilet paper was the cheapest crap ever. Carpet was kind of stained. Bed was comfy.

We stayed during Helene and Pam was great about staying in communication with me regarding roads/power outages. The house was perfect for 3 couples. Plenty of seating in the family room to enjoy each others company. The grounds were beautiful, though we weren't able to explore like we wanted to with the abundance of rain. Would definitely recommend
