This home has a beautiful architectural design, an ocean view and short path down to the water. It was spacious, clean and well equipped. My family enjoyed our stay and our host was attentive.

We had a totally relaxing stay and enjoyed wonderful views every day. The weather was marvellous, and so we made many walks in the wonderful state of Maine admiring the fall. Our only slight negative comment is that the house is ready for some refurb in the kitchen and bathrooms as they are getting a little tired. The hosts are very attentive, and quick to respond to any problems.

If you need stress relief, sunlight, staring at the ocean from a private deck - this is for you!

If you are looking for crowds and noise, this is not your place. But if you want a comfortable quiet place for a small group to enjoy the amazing ocean views and relax and rest, this is perfect. It is also centrally located between Ogunquit and York, so if you want the crowds then they are readily available. This is a great place to enjoy the Maine coast. The online pictures do not do it justice. We enjoyed our stay immensely. I don't know it we will make it back to Maine any time soon, but we will certainly try to come back here. The Wrights

Nice house with a great view and good layout. Several improvements at little cost to the owners would have gone a long way to make the stay much more comfortable. To their credit, the owners were responsive to my inquiries, and seemed like very nice people. The listing includes a hot tub. There isn’t one. This didn’t matter to me, but was a serious disappointment to my daughter. Assuming it was a mistake, I can’t imagine how they made such a big one. There was no hairdryer. Again, the owner responded to my inquiry. She said that perhaps a prior renter took it. We purchased one at Target. The coffee pot was not usable. It was very dirty inside and out, and even if I washed it, I wouldn’t feel comfortable using it. We purchased a cheap one at Target. There is no air conditioning in one of the downstairs bedrooms. The air conditioner which cools the living room is not adequate to cool the bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms have window/stand alone units. The living room air conditioning was very comfortable. I purchased a new shower curtain liner myself and hung it in the downstairs shower. The one that was left was moldy. The layout of the house is lovely, and the views outstanding. The house is quite dated. I don’t mind that, but the blinds look original to the house, and don’t function to block out the sun in the ocean facing bedrooms.

When we opened the front door and saw the wall of windows with the magnificent view of the trees, expanse of lawn and the waves crashing on rocks in the ocean we knew we had made the right choice ! That was before we took in the lovely furnishings , where we spent quite a few restful hours reading our books and enjoying the views, when we weren't out on the deck , loving the sunshine ,the surroundings and the sound and of the waves, or walking down to the rocky beach area to enjoy getting close up to the incoming tide. The beds are extremely comfortable and listening to the waves at night makes sleeping here so easy. In the mornings we were visited by a whole family group of wild turkeys, 3 adults and many, many youngsters . Also a family of deer were frequently spotted running around between the bushes and trees. Full confession , our family of four stayed around the house much more than we had planned as we were so happy and content there. Having said that , there is so much to do around York Beach and the area, but since my daughter had a fractured knee and was on crutches we mainly just sat back and really enjoyed some R. and R. time here . It was the perfect home to do it in, with just about everything needed provided by the hosts. . And note the use of the word' home' instead of house. It does feel like home. Thanks to Cynthia and Rod for opening it up to us. Our only complaint - it is SO hard to come back to real life when you leave!

This lovely home was perfect for our family trip to Maine! Our host was excellent with communication and anxious to meet any needs that arise. ( we did not have any) The views were beautiful and kept us captivated, even during by the rain.

Second time we stayed at Cynthia and Rod's lovely home and it was just as terrific as our first experience. In fact, the location may be even better now with the opening (since last we were here) of the Cliff House, which is a great resource to have nearby. And when we had a question this year Rod got back to us immediately. And followed up twice! Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful home and the location was perfect! Owners super responsive and kind. Do not hesitate to rent this lovely peaceful home!!

Beautiful home with outstanding ocean view! Cynthia was a great host, providing timely communication and wonderful tips regarding the property and things to do in the area. The home is perfectly laid out and the ocean view is spectacular from just about every room in the house (and obviously from the large deck outside!). One of the most relaxing vacations we have had in the past 20 years. Highly recommended!
