Blue Water Retreat - Spacious Lake Michigan retreat with In-ground pool

Amazing quiet location between St. Jo and S. Haven. Close to beaches, parks. View, sunsets, back porch are best part! We had an amazing week and will be back! Feel that we paid a premium price so a few things could be improved. Needs a deep clean (socks, feet filthy) Before arrival a good clean of outside space, chairs, porch needed. We were told there would be beach chairs and there was none and anything for pool use was not clean or usable. Need more beach towels, bath towels. Covers for outdoor furnture needed and a small blower on site for guests to use. Kitchen was well stocked but needs a good purge/organization. Every closet/drawer needs organization/purge, lightbulbs changed etc. A pack n play/highchair would be so helpful for families. 5th bedroom is a den (sleeper sofa) with the only TV on 1st floor so not the most pratical (suggest a TV on cart so can move to porch etc.). For the price, bedrooms should have a TV. Had a leak in FR that host seemed to know about so prob should be fixed. Pool is amazing but gets dirty very quickly with all the trees etc. Def. needs to be cleaned more than once a week when guests are there. Only has sunlight from 11-3.

We loved everything about our stay. The house was beautiful and stocked with all you would need. The kids spent lots of time in the pool and a quiet beach was only 2 miles down the road. In the area, we kayaked, paddle boarded, bowled and found a couple of great restaurants. But the cherry on top was the sunset. Every evening we gathered in the great room and watched the sun go down. The kids said it was the best Michigan vacation we've every had.

For the second summer in a row, our family had a great week at the Blue Water Retreat. The furnishings were impeccable, the pool was pleasant and the outside dining area was convenient and spacious, with a nice view. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking, and the basement with a ping pong table was enjoyed by our grandsons.

Excellent property for my family of 11. The house was more than adequate, the pool great, and the location on Lake Michigan was as superb and beautiful!

This house is fantastic, it was our second visit. The property manager, Chris, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We immediately noticed the house was much cleaner than the previous visit. Chris attributed this to hiring a new cleanup crew. There is a public beach very close to the house and we spent a few mornings-afternoons there. The pool was in great shape and got plenty of use as well. We look forward to returning.

We spent a wonderful week with our kids and grandkids at Blue Water Retreat. The pool was just fabulous and access to nearby local beaches was a breeze. Everything we needed for the pool and beach was supplied: beach towels, beach chairs, pool toys. Chris our property manager responded immediately when we had any questions. And watching the sunset each evening was icing on the cake. What a view!!

House is very nice. Very nicely furnished. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen has everything you need. Large pool is excellent! It’s too bad you can no longer get down to the beach but there is a nice beach two miles away

Our family had a wonderful week at the house in July. The furnishings, spaciousness and ability to dine outside were just great. Our grand kids loved the pool and ping pong table. And proximity to a nearby quiet beach was a plus. We're coming back next year!

Our family with 8 adults and 5 children enjoyed our stay! You can’t beat the pool and the view. We would return!

With a group of 14 people, not everyone got a “bedroom,” but all of us got to swim in the pool, look at the lake, and take in some spectacular sunsets. Chris got us checked in promptly and responded quickly when the toaster broke down. When we stayed in, the place had all we needed. When we wanted to go out, great towns were within 30 or minutes. We were all happy with our stay.

Beautiful home in a great location. Everything you could want/need was in this terrific home. Chris, the property manager, was wonderful and easy to get a hold of if there was a question. Fabulous pool, deck, grill area with a wonderful yard and view of Lake Michigan. Lots of indoor space for activities, dining, relaxing. We've stayed in many rental homes and this is by far our favorite all around! Thank you for the great get-away weekend!!!
