Blue Pearl #106-Soundfront with Private Dock, Kayaks & Walkable Beach Access!

Perfect location. Home could use some TLC or a good deep clean. Bathrooms were dirty when we arrived and many of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty. Overall had a good experience and managment company was very responsive.

We love the location with the dock for kayaking/fishing and quick beach access. Fine TVs and wifi which were important during the tropical depression that deluged us one day. We will be back.Cleanliness: Had to wash pans before cooking. They had been used and put away unwashed. Some bathroom drawers were filthy from product leakage.Furniture: I recommend deck furniture updates for the middle and lower decks on the inlet side. On the inlet side middle deck: Chairs one can sit *up* in and have their morning coffee. On the inlet side lower deck: a chair or two added to the lower deck which is empty except for a swing. The mattress in the larger lower level bedroom could use an upgrade. BTW: the upgrade to the couch in the common area was appreciated by all. Finally, please put a larger trashcan in the kitchen area.Property management: Improve communication. Do not provide numbers to text to if those are not monitored. I tried one to report a leak during heavy rain and got no response. Only got a reply after leaving a voicemail mid-afternoon the next day. Then a mtc person arrived quickly.

Private dock and elevator were both a plus. It’s dog friendly and the views from the multiple balconies are spectacular. The bed on the top floor inclines and it’s very comfortable. The kitchen offered everything we needed to cook family meals and the grill was also clean and worked great. Negatives...the ice maker did not work and that was not disclosed until we reported it to LandMark upon arrival. We were told that they knew it didn’t work and the owners had decided not to fix it given the hard water. We were told to feel free to use the ice trays (there were 2) provided. Would have appreciated the disclosure up front or more ice trays. 2 ice trays for a family is not acceptable. We also reported that the Roku device had been removed from one of the TVs and we were told over and over again that we just needed to put new batteries in the remote. It took multiple emails and calls to Landmark to get someone to actually come out and see that the Roku device had indeed been taken or misplaced. We had other minor maintenance issues and those were fixed promptly. The beds on the second floor are totally uncomfortable as is the sectional couch. The property has simply aged and needs some refreshing/updated. Large pet stains in the bedroom on the top floor as well. All in all, still a great place to spend a vacation. My crew made use of all of the positives at this property and memories were definitely made! I did find out from a neighbor that other properties in this same subdivision (all the properties have mostly the same layout) rented for much cheaper than what I paid. Oh well, you live and learn! Would recommend and would stay here again, but only if all other properties in this subdivision were rented out.

We had the opportunity to visit this property for a few weeks over Covid and had an amazing time. However, it’s clear time has taken a bit of a toll. The house furnishings—the living room—, outdoor patio furniture and kitchen materials need to be updated. Unfortunately, we are not likely to return to this location.

Linen service was not the greatest - only sheets and a single blanket for every bed. Elevator and upstairs TV did to work and the kitchen cookware desperately needs to be replaced. Pots/pans/can openers were all terrible. There were also aunts throughout the house.

Lovely house situated on the end of cul-de-sac. Incredible views of the sound to enjoy morning coffee or late night conversation. Bedrooms have their own private decks. Awesome kayaking! We went out several times and still did not paddle all the marsh trails. Quiet & peaceful at night. Very close to Surf City shops & restaurants. Great communication with rental agency. Would definitely recommend!

The location of the property is excellent. The surrounding views from every window and deck were gorgeous. The house is spacious and well furnished. The kitchen provided all we needed for cooking. Downsides were very low water, pressure and uncomfortable mattresses. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, and will return to Topsail Beach
