Blue Lobster is a great place for a get away! The views of the water are amazing . The home is so quintessentially Maine. It is well furnished and the beds and lines were comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with good appliances as well as multiple coffee makes. We were so lucky to be staying during the full blue moon! Yes there was a bit of traffic noise but it really stopped in the early evening. I would recommend Blue lobster for boating and birding enthusiasts.

The Blue Lobster was a very cute and well appointed rental that was very clean and had lovely views. The exterior of the home is classic Maine and the surrounding grounds were well tended. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was conducive to cooking in.The location is central to getting around the area easily; plenty of restaurants and stores are a short drive away. That said, there were a couple of issues: the location map on VRBO is incorrect. I know Harpswell pretty well and the home location is actually south of what is shown, and it's situated on Hyw 24. Though other renters mentioned hearing traffic noise, I did not realize how close it was to the highway due to the map. It was quite loud when the house was opened up, especially over labor day weekend. It did quiet down a bit during the week, and moreso in the evenings. When the house was closed it was not as noticeable. The other issue was that the back door still doesn't lock, as mentioned in other reviews. Overall, though, the pros very much outwieghed the cons and we enjoyed our stay and recommend this rental.

Super clean and comfortable. Both bedrooms have great water views. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and a terrific front deck and dock. Bring your binoculars for spotting the many birds and boats out front on the water. We really enjoyed our time here at this property and the property manager (David) was great to work with. One note of caution is that the house is quite close to the road, which can get busy at times, so the noise from vehicles passing by was our only issue. The good news is that it gets quiet again shortly after sunset so very peaceful at night.

Check in was easy. Everything was as described and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location is very nice right on an inlet with the deck overlooking it. One evening, as we sat on the deck, we saw a seal snacking on a fish it caught. Check-out instructions were clear. The host was very helpful and responsive to our questions.

Great little house very clean and as described. Beautiful view out the back constantly changing with the tide. Only slightly negative to the property is the road noise and proximity to the road. Would definitely recommend.

Peaceful, gorgeous spot. Shorebirds, hawks and eagles were a delightful bonus. House was just what we wanted with everything we needed. What a great place to spend some days in Maine on the bay! We hope to be able to return next spring. Thank you!

After enjoying Blue Lobster over Labor Day this past summer we planned a trip to Maine for December to once again visit family in the area and spend some time shopping and taking in the sights. Blue Lobster is in a great location enabling us to shop in Freeport (we enjoyed Sparkle Weekend!), is a short drive to Boothbay (loved Gardens Aglow at the Botanical Gardens), and great restaurants we visited in Bath, Bailey Island and Brunswick and many other spots. The home is well equipped, very clean and the view is just as amazing in winter as it was in summer. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Lobster! We were in town visiting our student at Bowdoin and found this property to be a lovely vacation spot a reasonable distance from campus. The house sits on a beautiful spot on the water and had everything we needed for our stay. We will return!

The cottage was lovely but the power went out twice and we ended up leaving early. It was no fault of the property owner or manager, but it definitely put a damper on our stay sadly. Being from Maine, we are aware that this is an issue in many coastal areas so perhaps automatic generators could be installed? And renters should be warned to have water and flashlights on hand?

Great location! Easy access to the remote islands but also close enough to Brunswick and highway. The house was perfect for my husband and I. The owners have the kitchen well stocked and we were able to cook and eat our own lobsters at home so we can enjoy the magnificent view. Both owners were very helpful with any questions we had

We had a wonderful week-long stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage in late September. The cottage is perched on a cliff overlooking an inlet, offering breathtaking views. We enjoyed sipping coffee and having breakfast while watching the birds and boats pass by. The house was immaculate with comfortable beds and lovely linens. The bedroom offered spectacular views. We particularly enjoyed the seafood in the area, especially the fresh oysters and fish at the Gurnet Trading Company. We also discovered the Wild Oats Bakery & Café, which is a must-visit for delicious soups and bread. On Saturdays, the local farmers market featured amazing artisans, making it difficult for us to choose what to buy. Our stay at the Blue Lobster Cottage was fantastic, and we're already looking forward to returning!
