Great vacation home in a great location! All expectations met or exceeded.

Upgrades definitely needed to cookware in the kitchen, make sure to bring your own. Elevator can be touchy, read the directions provided for successful use. Otherwise it was a fabulous trip. We would return.

We anticipated a cancellation but were pleasantly surprised with a call telling us our house in Sunset Beach was ready to go. There was some tree limbs and debris but everything turned out well and we had a week of beautiful weather.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just left Blue Heron yesterday, 9/8/2024. Although our stay included 2/3 days of rain, we had a great experience in this home. Very spacious, well-kept, clean, and nicely laid out for privacy when needed. The property is about a 3 minute, easy walk to the beach which we took advantage of the one sunny day we had. Property manager was always available, especially when we could not get the elevator to work (user error😂). She was so patient with us.

Our stay at this property was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for the whole family, including teen grandkids. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and requests to management were answered and responded to very quickly and thoughtfully. Overall we were very pleased.

This was our 22nd family vacation at SGI and the 2nd time staying at this house in Sunset Beach. Location to beach excellent, beds were very comfortable, AC perfect, elevator no issues. Lacking extra blankets, stove was less than desirable, burners were old and didn’t produce enough gas to prepare family meals timely. Lacking good knives, and bowls. Nothing major but would help to know for the next family on what to bring. Tennis court was very disappointing for those who like to play tennis. Again nothing major just FYI. We had a fantastic time!

This was a family vacation with all of our immediate family but one teen who was away at his first year in college.The house was clean upon arrival and everything was as expected. We enjoyed the pool immensely and, yet, went to the beach every day except one, when it stormed. So, we took the opportunity to shop in Apilachicola.There were only a couple of things that need to be repaired. The first would be the elevator, which gets stuck on the first floor. If you are in the elevator, you'll need to lift the lever on the upper door sil in order to open the door. This could truly be a safety issue. Fortunately, we figured out out to access the elevator from the outside if you have called it to the first floor. This calls for using something kind of long and slender to insert into the hole of the door (upper left corner), in order to lift the lever from the outside. The other issue is the stove. Lighting the burners isn't a sure thing and takes some patience to get them going. This, again, is a safety issue.A couple of maintenance guys came to change air filters during our stay, but they were friendly and very professional.Absolutely love this place, and may return again.
