This cottage is on a relatively quiet street with pleasant neighbors who readily engaged with us. We could walk to the coop and the theater, allowing us leave the car in the carport. The bedroom windows face an alley that can be busy with trucks in the mornings. The bathrooms appear to be recently renovated with attractive tile work. The furniture was comfortable as were the mattresses. The overall style of the house was reminiscent of going to grandma’s. We stay at houses instead of hotels to allow us to prepare our meals. I burned a batch of cookies in 8 minutes b/c the oven thermostat isn’t correctly calibrated. It stymied my meal plans as I didn’t trust it to cook two oven recipes for subsequent dinners. I’d suggest you bring your own baking sheets/pans as the ones provided have seen better days. The soap dispenser was labeled hand soap, so we purchased dish soap as well as dish towels. Bring them if you don’t use the dishwasher for everything. Bath amenities such as soaps, shampoos, and body wash were nice to have. The front porch light is on a motion sensor. It was flashing off and on in the middle of the night because a buck was grazing on the lawn. He was unfazed by the light. The motion sensors were nice when coming in after dark, though. The place was clean and the host was responsive.

This cottage is in an excellent location, close to the park, restaurants and shops. A great mix of charm and newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen, this is a very cozy and comfortable place. The beds were very comfortable as well!

Adorable little cottage in a great location! Plenty of space for us and our 3 kids (although we did have to use the sofa bed). Very clean and easy to access and park. Super location within a 10 minute walk of all the shops, restaurants, and theaters.

The kitchen was well equipped, clean and conveniently laid out. The cottage was cozy and very quiet, beds were comfortable and the walk downtown was short and pleasant, on quiet residential streets. We had a great stay.

This cottage was clean, convenient to the downtown restaurants, art galleries, and the OSF venues. It is also close to the Ashland Food Coop, good for lunch and groceries. Even though we had a car, we never used it.It could use a little spiffing up of furnishings and linens.

Once we found the building (no porch light or number at entrance) it was great, spacious, well lit and comfortable. It is hard to emphasize enough how great the location is.Kitchen is not equiped for much cooking but was more than enough for what we did (there are lots of restaurants in walking distance).Thank you.

The house was just perfect for my adult son and me to walk into town for meals and a play. It was very clean and comfortable, and had what we needed, including 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus a dining table to play games on. The deck, private parking and large kitchen were great perks and the host responded to us quickly. I'd definitely stay again!

This house is cute and clean. The check-in process was easy and smooth and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It is about 12 blocks to the theater...about a 15 minute walk, so fairly convenient.

A long-time friend and I stayed for 4 nights, seeing 4 plays (and 2 prefaces) at OSF. It's our 2nd year at this cottage and we're already looking forward to next year. The cottage is very comfortable and a short walk to the theaters at OSF. Even closer are Noble Coffee and The Peerless for daily coffee and a great concluding dinner. (They're both at the end of the alley alongside the cottage.)

We were very comfortable in this charming home. There are so many unexpected extras throughout the house that made the visit even more special, like the table games, extra linens, and the kitchen stocked full of everything you could possibly need. We all remarked at how clean the home was and how the furniture was very comfortable. It was just a few blocks walk into town and to the Shakespeare Theaters. We found excellent restaurants and shops along our walks. We walked through Lithia Park and even enjoyed a street market while we were there. We would definitely stay at this house again and plan to make this an annual trip.

Beautiful home with everything you need to relax. Well stocked, clear instructions for check in and out, all in walking distance to in-town attractions. The doe kept guard on the back door while we were away. Would stay again and recommend others.

The cottage was clean, comfortable, and very well situated in town. The kitchen was well equipped, allowing us to cook most of our meals there. It's in a quiet neighborhood where you can walk to anything you might want.

Three of us (couple and a single) enjoyed our five night stay. Location is great. Only 15 min walk to downtown and theaters. Enjoyed some great food at walkable restaurants. Cottage, although older, is nicely appointed and equipped. Would stay again if the space was needed.
