Stayed Jun 14, 2026We’ve been VRBO-ing for several years when we come to Ashland for OSF shows, and this property is hands down one of the best price in the town and almost on top of the theaters! It is literally one block from the Thomas Theatre….. as close as the Ashland Springs Hotel, and the closest VRBO I’ve seen. Clean, quiet, well appointed. From the old downtown, you do have a steep stroll up 1st Street to Hargadine, and then about 100’ up a driveway to the unit, but just take your time! It’s worth it! Peaceful serene backyard, even had a deer eating the flower garden :)One other comparable VRBO we like, is twice as far to the theaters and nearly twice the price. This unit is definitely on our very very short list!Casey

Stayed Jun 5, 2026This is a sweet, well provisioned place, close to downtown, with all the theatre within a couple blocks. My favorite part was finding a back trail into beautiful Lithia park. If you have pups, the owner is clearly a dog lover and has made it easy to bring them. Lots of sweet little outdoor spaces. Easy place to spend a weekend. Just right.

Stayed May 9, 2026We absolutely loved this carriage house! It was very clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed. It has a convenient little kitchen, wonderful soaking tub (and shower). And having two balconies was an added bonus. The views were beautiful! The location was perfect. All theaters and restaurants downtown are within walking distance. We only used our car one time in three days to explore some hiking trails. Kathy is an excellent host, responds quickly, and is just a kind person. We felt good vibes here. We love Ashland and hope to stay here every time we visit in the future!

Stayed Jan 26, 2026Wow, what a great place to stay! We came here for a weeklong getaway and it was such a perfect spot to immerse ourselves in the city - it is right next to downtown. The cottage itself was luxurious, with a decadent bath, tall shower, balcony seating, and a little private bit of yard and seating area. There are a lot of little touches that made it feel extra homey (incredibly plush towels, high end blinds, bedside plugs that are easy to get to, motion sensor lights on the stairs outside, and more).Kathy also has put a lot of personal effort into helping you have a good stay in Ashland. Her binder has instructions for things in the cottage, as well as places to walk your dog, restaurants, and other local places of interest. A final thing to note: the kitchen was better stocked than we expected! We packed a hotplate, some pots and pans and a sharp knife - none of this was needed. It's probably tricky to keep an updated inventory for this stuff, but I recommend reaching out before you pack to see if you need everything.

Stayed Sep 9, 2025We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely & charming studio cottage. It was perfect for our one night visit. We had stopped at the Market of Choice to select some things from their amazing deli for our dinner. Once we'd settled into the cottage, we had our wine & cheese on the darling little balcony overlooking Ashland & the mountains beyond. What a spectacular view! Later, while watching a movie on Netflix, we had our dinner inside using the cute little table & chairs. Afterwards, we slept soundly in the most comfortable bed! Kathy is a great host, helpful & friendly! She has thought of every detail to make your stay comfortable & memorable: including plenty of big, fluffy towels; a great selection of tea & an electric kettle for boiling water; umbrellas; games & reading material; and there are several pretty outdoor areas to enjoy, as well! The only thing I would caution future guests about, and Kathy does mention this in her description, is the very steep driveway and the dozen or so stairs up to the unit itself. We are seniors in our 70's and managed ok, but it could be difficult for others. However, I highly recommend this lovely place to all those who are agile!!! You will most definitely enjoy it!!!

Stayed Aug 7, 2025We've stayed in Ashland more times than I can count, coming sometimes twice a year for OSF. This is far and away the very best lodging we've ever enjoyed. Spotless, with very nice furnishings throughout, including kitchen necessities. Just one block from the theaters, it is a very private, quiet, hillside studio with lovely views. And if I could transfer that luxurious bathroom to my own home, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Stayed May 29, 2025We have been traveling to Ashland for the past 40 years and this was one of the top 2-3 destinations we've booked in all that time! There are so many good things to say about it. This location is an easy walk away from most places in Ashland including the Shakespeare Festival, so many great shops and restaurants, and the wonderful Food Co-op. To get that easy access while settling into a lovely neighborhood with a great view of the hills to the east was a real bonus. Inside, the accommodations are both beautiful and comfortable with plenty of space to do whatever you want. Since the weather was warm, we really appreciated having 2 options for outdoor seating - one that is more shaded in the morning as the sun rises and the other that is perfect for soaking up the view of the hills. We will definitely be back!

Stayed May 18, 2025We stayed for just one night and were delighted with the close proximity to OSF shops and restaurants. The stairs were easily managed with a handrail and non-slip mats, however we minimized our luggage needs. The sleeping and kitchen area are attractive and cozy. There is a small balcony too. The bath area is gorgeous and made a wonderful place to relax after our travels.

Stayed Oct 24, 2024My husband and I could not have been any happier to have stayed at Kathy's paradise! She was an incredibly responsive host and when we walked into this quaint little slice of heaven, it was just what we needed after hours of driving. The bed was very comfortable and I even took a bath in the beautful tub with heated floors in the bathroom! We wish we could have stayed longer and while traveling with two small dogs (one is my older service dog and the other is in training), she made us feel very welcomed, which is not always the case unfortunately. We will most certainly be back and can't wait to make this our bi-annual stop off between our Oregon and California homes. Thank you Kathy!!
