Birdsong -spacious & welcoming- your High Peaks getaway

Our stay at Birdsong was perfect. The home was spacious and clean. Julie was an amazing host and communication was easy. We went for a wedding that was in Elizabethtown and also spent an afternoon in Lake Placid. Birdsong was convenient for both locations. We would definitely stay again!

Birdsong was amazing! House is as described with additional touches for added convenience and fun! We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area and will be recommending to our friends!

To start, Julie (the owner of this gorgeous home) was so accommodating, great with communication and opened her home with a warm welcome. The house exceeded our expectations- photos don't do it justice! The open layout made it great to socialize while cooking meals, the separate room off the kitchen was great for my husband and I to have privacy, and the hammock in the front yard was used by all! My family will stay in this house again, that's a guarantee! The weather was amazing, the house is just down the street from a gas station and only a 20 minute drive into Lake Placid- it made our vacation/Iron Man stay absolutely perfect!!!

Perfect location for a winter ice climbing trip with climbing friends. Ideal launch point for top rope as well as many multi-pitch climbs. Would also be an excellent location for fishing the AuSable river in the warmer weather.

This experience was great. My family was in town for Ironman Lake Placid, and this quiet property was the perfect fit. Julie was very helpful and accessible throughout the whole process! A special highlight for us was the kitchen. It’s stocked much better than any other property we’ve visited. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 5 elder men enjoying daily snowshoe treks in the nearby wilderness areas. The spaciousness of Birdsong, along with its numerous bedrooms, baths, and communal sitting area made for a very comfortable stay. This lodge is very clean with a large kitchen exceptionally well-stocked with appliances and cook gear. We cooked all of our meals there with ease. Lisa, our host, responded quickly and kindly to all of our questions The house rules were minimal and clearly articulated. An ideal place for a group our size accommodating our needs for both privacy and communal engagement!

Julie was awesome to work with, very responsive to any questions, etc There was plenty of room for sleeping our group of 8. The kitchen is stocked with everything you might need for meals and prep. Seating in the family room space is challenging for a big group but we managed to make it work. The house is conveniently located to the outdoor winter activities that Lake Placid has to offer. Our group went ice skating, dog sledding, bobsledding and of course skiing on whiteface. It was a wonderful trip and we enjoyed our stay at Birdsong very much.

Birdsong was the perfect place to have a reunion. Plenty of space, had everything we needed, good layout for a large group with plenty of bathrooms. Convenient to everything we wanted to do, but also private enough to relax and unwind. After a long day, it was so warm and comfortable to come back to. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Birdsong is relaxing and spacious. It was easy to unwind there for sure, especially after a day of hiking or sight seeing. Julie was a great host; very attentive to detail and responsive to questions and needs. We felt taken care of. Would definitely book again without hesitation.
