This home is one of the original “Binker Barns” designed by William Turnbull in the 1960s, reconceptualized in 2009 by Kay Kollar (an LA-based designer) and Douglas Thornley (a SF-based architect). Reviewer Comments: My wife and I are both architects and the fact that one of Turnbull's original Spec II homes is available for rent is a gift. Mr. Thornley's remodel is extraordinary. We did not want to leave.

Reviewer Comments: A wonderful first time visit to Sea Ranch and renting Binker Barn was a win! Beautiful inside and out. Well-equipped, fantastic views of the ocean! Walking distance to the Lodge for bar/restaurant. We couldn't believe the beauty of Sea Ranch. And we'll be back soon.

I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay! House is quirky in a charming way, and quite comfortable. Was disappointed that the refrigerator was not working correctly and that only two burners on the stove were functional. Love the Sea Ranch, but for the cost of the rental, everything should work properly.

Reviewer Comments: This is a gem of a building, lovingly and respectfully restored and upgraded. Wonderful unobstructed view of the ocean beyond the meadow, which was populated with the Sea Ranch sheep while we were there. Very comfortable interior, and the secluded hot tub area provided a wonderful soak after a day of hiking, tennis and reading. Hope we can visit again soon.
