Lake Lure, North Carolina
Nice cabin nice resort. Great location. Responsive managers.
Beautiful mountain home! Lots of potential fun with a fire pit, large kitchen, large deck and huge furnished game room
Had a couple minor things that didn't get taken care of but overall a great time
Big Rock Lodge was very spacious for our Family. Everyone had room to sleep, eat and have fun downstairs in the game room. There are definitely bears in the area. One was on the porch checking out the grill. Second floor air-conditioning may needs to be checked, quite warm upstairs.
Property served four families very well. Spacious home that provides room for everyone to spread out but spaces to gather as well. Only minor issue was refrigerator not staying cold but management resolved the issue quickly with delivering a second for the duration of the stay. We enjoyed the home and all resort amenities very much. Great stay.
Beautiful property. We loved our stay!
This property was amazing, the view and all around feel are great! Would love to see some updated den furniture and more kitchen bowls! The den furniture is just well loved, it is comfy, but could us am update! Also new bedside tables in the Master would be awesome on both sides! Will definitely stay here again! Could just use a little sprucing up!
Great house, great community, great location for privacy, all around outstanding. Only issue some of the furniture needs to be updated and supplemented. Minor when you look at the big picture. I would come back again happily.
Our family of 12 stayed in the property and overall had a great trip but there were a few issues. The rental company called prior to our arrival which was nice, and we were able to get into the home as soon as we arrived. The biggest issue we had was the refrigerator- it would not drop below 54 degrees and would not produce ice. Very worrisome. We had to go out and get ice and out all of our food in coolers so it wouldn't spoil. Luckily it rebounded after the first night, and the rental company sent out maintenance the next morning but it seemed ok. We slowly added food back in. Also, The door handle of the oven was also broken making it difficult to take things in and out. Additionally the dishwasher only seemed to work on a certain setting so by trial and error we learned it had to be on sanitize to start. I was surprised that the kitchen lacked some basic tools like serving bowls and pot holders-because in this type of location there are not many places close to eat so much of the cooking is done at the home. The third day the fridge started to warm up again-luckily this was our last night so most of groceries were gone- I reported this to the rental company but didn't hear back. Overall the house was spacious and the kids enjoyed the games and books. They loved the kids room and basement area. The home is nice it probably just needs a little love from wear and tear. Also the fridge seems like an issue that needs be addressed.
This was a beautiful log home with plenty of space for our extended family to spend time together and have their own private space when necessary! We really loved having access to the resort amenities including the pools and beach/lake activities. The Wifi was a bit spotty in certain sections of the house but overall this was only a minor inconvenience. Overall it was great accommodations for our big family and located close enough to Asheville to do a few day trips off site and then enjoy just relaxing on resort grounds the rest of the time!
