A lovely and quiet home in a private setting with ocean views from both decks. The decks are also great for viewing the stars because Sea Ranch is a Dark Sky area. This is a very well equipped property, situated a short walk from the Ocean Bluff Trail that runs for miles through Sea Ranch. Highly recommend!

House was very well stocked for cooking, lots of entertainment options as well. Hot tub was clean and warm when we arrived. Location was very good with a constant view of the blue water ocean.

A fine place to stay at The Sea Ranch!

We had such a lovely stay during our kids' spring break - they enjoyed sleeping in the upstairs loft. The kitchen had everything we needed, bathrooms were well stocked with pool and bath towels, there was plenty of firewood for the stove, and laundry facilities were useful too. It's a short walk to the bluffs and to the recreation center. We took a quick drive to Gualala for groceries, and to Anchor Bay for dinner. The house had a great collection of music CDs, books, games, puzzles, and colorful and interesting artwork. We came back well rested and rejuvenated. Thank you Hawley!

The house was beautiful with vaulted ceilings in the living room and large windows to see the ocean and sunset. We loved the hot tub to soak in after long day hikes. The beds were very comfortable. The washing machine and dryer were very much appreciated and the kitchen was fully equipped. Highly recommend it!

Perfect getaway for our group of two couples! Each bedroom has comfortable bed, clothes storage, and en suite bath and privacy. Kitchen exceptionally well equipped. Living room and dining room comfortable. Intriguing artwork throughout the house. View from the decks wonderful, with the north deck (with the hot tub) extremely private. Surrounded by bird song, grazing deer, and (during our stay) sunshine. House st end of cul de sac so quiet and private. Clear instructions, very responsive host. We hope to stay again sometime!!

What a wonderful stay! We’ve been going to Sea Ranch for almost 40 years and this was one of the most comfortable, well-appointed houses we’ve had the pleasure to stay in. The view is beautiful and serene, and the walk to Shell Beach is a quick 15 minutes! We will most certainly be back. Thank you for a great week!

We truly enjoyed every facet of this special house. We have stayed in many locations throughout Sea Ranch but Hawley’s house truly felt like a home. The kitchen was well stocked for making all our meals. The hot tub, cozy living room and deck were lovely places to relax and unwind which was the whole purpose of our trip. We spent many days with walks to the beach and along the bluffs. But also enjoyed watching the deer, quail, turkeys from the dining room table too! The artwork in the house has definitely been curated. We hope to definitely stay here again in the future!

Our stay was wonderful. The home is situated in a quiet court with a great view of the ocean. The accommodations were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with all of the essentials. The owner even called to make sure that everything was fine and if we had any questions. Great service. Would definitely rent again.

This house is amazing. The house is beautiful and so is everything in it. The kitchen is the most well equipped I've enjoyed in a vacation rental and the contents are labeled so it is easy to find what you need. We very much enjoyed the wood stove, especially when the power went out, and appreciated Hawley calling to make sure we were okay. Hoping to stay again in warmer weather!

This was our third time at this house. It’s perfect for my husband and I. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac. The house is well stocked and clean. HAWLEY is a wonderful host. She checks on us during our stay to make sure everything is going well. We plan to stay again next year.

Everything one would need in the kitchen. Comfortable beds. Nice deck. Wonderful dark night sky with so many stars. The sea and walking paths are close by. Interesting art throughout the house. Terrific movies DVD collection and the equipment to play them. Does need a privacy curtain replaced on bathroom door that opens onto outside deck. We had a wonderful time. It is hard not to have wonderful stay in such a beautiful area.

This was an ideal home for our first ever Sea Ranch holiday. Views to the ocean with windows everywhere. Open floor plan for kitchen dining and great room meant I as chef could always be a part of conversations. Two spacious bedrooms with en suite at opposite ends of house were so private. The grilling deck and adjacent hot tub deck were facing the whales, quails and wild turkeys. Absolute best kitchen we have ever had. Used it every day for breakfast and supper. Our thanks to Hawley for opening her very comfy home to guests. Found delicious baked goods and strawberries at the Gualala farmers market. Then ate lunch at the Gualala seafood shack. Highly recommend the fish taco and rock cod fish and chips. Our only hardship was the drive. That PCH from Petaluma to Sea Ranch is stunning but technically challenging!!

This was an excellently equipped, spacious home in beautiful surroundings, with great, friendly neighbors. Added treat this week was a large whale pod giving a 30-minute show from south to north, and a clear sky for the Perseid meteor shower (saw only one shooting star, but the brilliant Milky Way was quite a consolation prize). Very was very nice, communicative, with clear instructions. Can't imagine a kitchen tool not to be found here.

Lovely, well-appointed home in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and bluffs. The house was immaculately clean, comfortable, and situated on a quiet cul-de-sac with serene views towards the sea and sunset. Plenty of outdoor seating on the deck to grill and enjoy a meal together. The host has thoughtfully provided everything needed for a relaxing stay and communication was excellent. We loved our time at this beautiful Sea Ranch home. Truly a wonderful get-away!

The property had every feature you could possibly need to enjoy it and the area. Hawley Holmes has a home appointed with such good taste and quantity items that you couldn't ask for more. Obviously, it's a home that's been lived in well for many years. Thank you Hawley, we are counting the days until we return.

Beautiful and comfortable home! Comes equipped with everything you could possibly need. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac. Private and quiet location. The wood burning fireplace was so nice for those cold coastal nights. The hot tub was clean and faced the ocean view! I wish the jets were stronger but hey we still loved it.The two bedrooms are big and both had their own bathrooms! The master has a king size bed and private bathroom. The second bedroom has the ocean view and an attached bathroom that shares with the hallway and allowed outdoor access to the hot tub. Even though the house is in a private location, I would've appreciated some blinds covering the glass door. Only complaint is there are so many windows that are missing screens so it was difficult to let the cool ocean air in. Not a big deal by any means! I highly recommend I will definitely be back!

Hedgegate House is absolutely fantabulous! Excellent location, wonderful ocean view, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is superbly stocked, as is the rest of the house. The hot tub is delightful. Would definitely stay again!

3rd time staying at Hedgegate House, and as always, it was great! The home is always clean, kitchen is well stocked and everything works! The location is perfect. Far enough from the bluff so it is out of the wind, but still a great view and walking distance to Shell Beach.

We go to Sea Ranch annually for almost 20 years. This was one of our favorite homes and we immediately rented for next year! The house is very clean, everything is labeled, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and furniture. Responsive host. Beautiful views of ocean and on cul de sac. Definitely recommend!

Hedgegate house is a home full of art and soul. Comfortable, well equipped, with privacy with an Ocean view. The star gazing was terrific.This is my favorite house at Sea Ranch.

This is a nice place to stay, well priced. No road noise despite proximity. Sweeping views, although a ways back.

This is our second time staying at this property. The last time it was just my husband and myself and this trip we brought an 11 year-old great-nephew. The house is attractively furnished, well-cared for, and in a good location. The kitchen is well supplied even for someone who cooks a lot. The hot tub was clean and heated up easily. The only thing we noticed was that the outdoor grill had not been adequately cleaned from prior use, causing some flaring while grilling some burgers. This was a minor issue. The owner is responsible, keeps tabs on the place (this is a good thing) and is quick to respond if there is a question or issue. Maps at the property are helpful. We'll be back.

The whole process was easy and the house was as described.

My wife and I have been renting vacation houses for 15 yrs all over the Midwest and CA coast. This was one of the best locations we have ever visited. I used to go to Sea Ranch back in the 70s as a kid with my folks and after 45 yrs coming back I see it hasn't changed much. It really is a hidden gem. and Hawley's house is just right on every level. It is clear she and her team are seasoned rental pros. This place doesnt feel like the polished sterile luxury in a 5 star resort, but felt like we were visiting a long time dear friends house, but we were alone. It has it's querks and the decor is eclectic, but interesting, Many places we visit say they are stocked with essentials, but this place truly is. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, we didn't care. The only hiccup was the power going out for 12 hours (for the whole development) but Hawley was super responsive to our slightly panicked texts, and her relaxed demeanor helped calm us back down,. 10 out of 10... would highly recommend.

Hawley’s property was exactly as the listing described! It was very clean and warm and cozy which we appreciated since the weather was cool and windy when we arrived. As indicated, the kitchen was well stocked with both food staples and cooking equipment which made preparing meals there easy. We also appreciated the location - the house is landscaped so as to feel quite secluded and is located in the middle of the Sea Ranch property making access to Hwy 1, the Lodge and our favorite beaches and trails especially convenient. (For those interested in golfing, the course is officially closed but we saw folks golfing there on several occasions.) The washer/dryer and Weber grill were added conveniences. Would love to return with another couple. Both bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms are very spacious and each has its own TV as well. The nearby town of Gualala has 2 grocery stores for anything you might require. All in all, a beautiful place to escape!

Hawley could not have been a better host...her home is beautiful, clean, extremely comfortable, and well located...she is a great communicator who even sent us daily notifications of the road closures due to the storm...her home is extremely well stocked making shopping needs minimal...saw deer and wild turkeys in the neighborhood...very sweet...all of us are hoping to return!!...thanks Hawley!

We had a great five-day Christmas holiday. The house was clean, comfortable, beautifully appointed and well stocked.

How do I summarize perfect? This place is divine, from the big things (view, hot tub) to the little (binoculars to take out on hikes, sharp knives for cooking, puzzles for doing). We loved staying here!

we had four wonderful days at Sea Ranch beginning Wednesday night. we had a big group-- split it between two houses that were walking distance. Most of us had been at Sea Ranch several times before-- it did not disappoint. But my younger sister and her family had never been there-- and they had lost their husband/Dad a couple of years ago. I will simply quote her Best Thanskgiving ever Hawley's house was a big part of that-- comfortable, great view, nice location, deer, wild turkey, the entire Sea Ranch experience. We cant wait to come again.
