Beautifully restored home in Wilmington Historic District with pool

Great house, lots of charm, perfect location. House has more than everything you need. Host was great with communication. Hopefully we will get a chance to visit again!

This property was everything we’d hoped it would be and more! The owner, Matt, was a great communicator and extremely accommodating. We pulled up to the cottage at 9pm at night, hungry and tired. The front porch was lit up with hanging lights and cozy rocking chairs. The entry instructions were clear and easy to understand. Both bedrooms have en suite baths, so there was no need to fight over rooms! Just a 3 minute walk away was pizzeria, and it was open until 10pm on a weekday. A local grocery store was also open until 11pm. The house was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. There was equipment for infants, as well. The owners provided a selection of pamphlets for local tours and attractions. My husband and 15 year old daughter enjoyed a walking tour of Wilmington, showing places where famous shows and movies were filmed! Great shopping, dining, and entertainment, all within walking distance. We stayed for 3 nights, March 19-22. The day before our stay, it was 34 degrees in NC. By the weekend, it was close to 80 degrees. The pool was opened, looked beautiful, and was unheated, as clearly stated. That being said, my daughter and I both got in the pool! The house feels like it’s 3 times the actual size, due to the beautifully designed, decorated, and executed backyard oasis. This was one of our favorite vacations we’ve ever had. Book this VRBO! You won’t regret it!

We spent the most wonderful Thanksgiving time in this beautiful home. Matt was the best host in the world. We had everything we needed and it was so comfortable. We hope to stay here in the future. Kudos to Matt and Chris for a wonderful experience.

Perfection in all aspects: cleanliness, kitchen equipment, location, style and comfort; all exceeded our expectations. All of us loved this house and are planning to return this summer to enjoy the amazing backyard pool. Highly recommend this house because the host has thought of everything!!

After about 30 minutes in Matt & Chris’ home, my husband said “I think this is the nicest rental we’ve ever stayed in!” I totally agreed. Pictures don’t do this beautiful home. It was beautifully restored, so tastefully decorated but warm and comfortable, and so thoughtfully stocked. The owners clearly put a lot of care into anticipating their guests needs and fulfilling them before the guests even asked. First class!

This may be the best place we’ve ever stayed! Beautiful home, well stocked, clean, well decorated, great location (easy walk to the river front). But, Wowzers, the back yard a pool was the cherry on top. The owners thought of everything.

This is my favorite place to stay on the East Coast. The house has historic charm mixed with modern appliances and fixtures. The elegant decorations are the perfect touch to make it feel coastal but not “beachy.” The backyard/pool/cabana is the perfect hidden oasis for daytime fun and evening relaxation. The hosts are amazing and super responsive. 10/10 would recommend!

The property was as advertised and very clean and comfortable. It was well stocked with dishes and amenities. It was close to many things we wanted to do. The outdoor space was large and welcoming. We would certainly book the property again if available.

Another great stay in Wilmington. We found this beautiful house a couple years ago and it seems to never disappoint. The house is so well appointed, comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a great weekend. Add a great resort style pool setting and it’s the perfect runaway location. Another great stay!

This is lovely property and well appointed. The kitchen is fully stocked with all manner of cooking implements. The house is perfectly decorated and very welcoming. Everything was very clean and also well organized. The pool and pool area are a nice oasis and for your iwn eclusive use. This is a great place to stay when visiting Wilmington and a perfect location to access restaurants and the historic downtown. This will become your favorite place to stay in Wilmington NC.

Returning back to this beautifully restored home for another relaxing week in Wilmington. Stayed at the pool to relax, made the short trip to the riverfront for food, shopping and entertainment. The hosts go out of their way to ensure a great experience.

This house is beautifully appointed and totally comfortable and it is hard to leave when it is time! It has most anything that you would need on vacation and very clean. Fabulous kitchen when you want to eat in. Location is perfect, walking distance to downtown, lots of shopping and restaurants and bars. Having a washer and dryer is very convenient. The pool and back yard are outstanding, has a resort feel. The owners couldn’t be any nicer, and right next door if you need them. This is a beautiful historic home with all the comforts! You won’t be sorry if you stay here!!

Chris and Matt were unbelievable hosts. This downtown oasis is designed to perfection and is full of character. The house and amenities were in great condition and remarkably clean, and it was located within walking distance to just about anything you need in downtown Wilmington. The communication and flexibility of the hosts was also unmatched. We will definitely be returning for a stay in the future — and would be permanent guests if we were able!

We had a wonderful stay over April vacation; myself and my two boys. We're from New England and found the pool water very swimmable. We had great weather during our stay, which I am sure helped.The house itself was exactly what I had hoped for: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The beds were very comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was in great working order.Proximity to downtown Wilmington was nice as well—it was a very cute neighborhood with charming homes all around. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Chris but Matt was lovely to talk to, and very available for anything we needed.I highly recommend this house for your Wilmington stay!

This well-appointed house has it all! It is stocked with everything needed for your visit. From the cozy front porch with rocking chairs to the beautiful backyard with multiple seating areas, it really feels like your at home. The decor is lovely and the furniture is comfortable and practical. The house is in a quaint neighborhood and is very walkable to all the restaurants and bars. Our host made check-in and out a breeze. I’ve stayed in multiple VRBO properties and this was the best one yet!

The house is beautiful. The pool and outdoor areas were so enjoyable. Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, everything you would need is here. Perfect location within 15 minute walk to everything! Hosts were amazing. Would definitely stay here again! If you’re thinking about booking this place just do it, you won’t regret it.

Matt and Chris provided a great stay for us in their lovely two bedroom Wilmington getaway. They were great hosts and provided everything we needed . The house is super comfy with all the necessities. Make sure you bring your swimsuit for the pool and tropical sitting area, outback!

This place is amazing. Stunning. You can walk a few short blocks to downtown Wilmington and a short 20 minute drive to the beaches. The pool is spectacular --- the pictures do not do it justice. It's your own private resort pool and cabana! Our family had a blast swimming and relaxing there.The home is immaculate and decorated perfectly. Sometimes you book a vacation rental and you show up to be a bit disappointed ---- but with this rental you will show up and have your expectations surpassed. Matt and Chris were spectacular hosts. They were kind, helpful and fun to talk with. Seriously - stop searching and book this place.

Iif you are looking for a coastal vacation that is more than the beach, look no further than this charming house in downtown Wilmington. With an amazing private pool and perfectly appointed house, Matt and Chris have thought of everything you'll want during your vacation. They've taken care of the easily overlooked things - fluffy towels, a well appointed kitchen with all the gadgets, furniture that's actually comfortable, peaceful bedrooms, lots of outdoor spaces - that quickly made us feel like we were in our own home, not staying at someone else's rental. And the pool... pictures don't even do the backyard justice, and we found ourselves either in the pool or gathering around it at all hours of the day.. With it being a quick walk to downtown restaurants and sites, and only a 15 minute or so drive to the beach, this house was the perfect place for us to take in all Wilmington had to offer. We loved our time here, and can hardly imagine a more perfect place to vacation in Wilmington.
