Beautifully built waterfront home on the lake

My family group and myself loved it. It was clean , very comfortable beds, the kitchen was spacious and easy for multiple people to work in, the crabs that were caught during the day and cooked for dinner is something that The children ranging from 8 -17 will never forget. Would definitely recommend this property and looking forward to a future reservation.

Jessica was an amazing host and we had the best time! She offered lots of suggestions regarding things to do and places to eat in the area. Check in and out was easy and the house was great and very clean and comfortable! A very enjoyable experience.

Good stay overall, I would just say the maintenance around the property is pretty much obsolete. Scratched vehicles getting down the driveway because the weeds were over 8ft tall. The yard could use some work. The surrounding properties have well maintained yards, not sure why this one isn’t. Not the cleanest house I’ve stayed at, but if it’s for a fishing camp, it will work just fine. Will stay elsewhere next time.

Had everything we needed right from the get go

If you're looking for a stay outside of New Orleans, this is a great option. The views are amazing and the sunrise/sunsets are top notch. The house was clean and up to date. The kids loved the pier where they caught some fish and crabs.

It was great.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was peaceful, relaxing, and refreshing to be able to walk out on our own private dock and fish or crab. The only hiccup at all was that the dryer makes a very loud sound and it takes a really long time to dry a regular size load of clothes. Other than that, it was perfect. Also need to mention how beautiful the sunrises and sets are there. Would definitely book again!

The location of the house was beautiful. We caught a crab in the trap and I caught a catfish on the third cast. Wish the trip could have been longer, but we would come back again. Thanks!

Enjoyed the stay!

Absolutely incredible place! Spending my entire life in Colorado this was a very unique experience! Right on the water! House had all that was needed! The family did not want to leave!!

The family and I had a wonderful stay at the property. The views are amazing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The house is clean and comfortable. The area was quiet and convenient to slidell or new orleans.

So pretty, perfect location, and just overall will rent it again

great place to fish & relax with friends and family

Nice quiet location on the water with fantastic view. Had lovely sunset and sunrise. The cabin had everything we needed for the week. Had some issues with outside lighting and the cleanliness of one bedroom. The host was quick at fixing the issue.

Place was as described. Host was very helpful and responsive. Crab cages on the VRBO’s pier created a unique opportunity for my kids to experience.

This place had what we needed for a good dose of nice Camp Life”. It has a lit dock for fishing and crabbing (even has a few crab traps). Close to several marinas. Really enjoyed our stay.

The best, most relaxing getaway spot! My only regret from our weekend trip was that more time wasn’t spent at the house! We ended up getting in super late Friday night/Saturday morning then my nieces and ended up going to a concert at the superdome Saturday night so the weekend was busy and the best parts were morning coffee on the back deck and being able to slow down to chat and laugh with my mom and sister sitting on the pier before the kids woke up. Looking forward to coming back to visit again in the future!

The camp was exactly like described! Jessica was an excellent host and was very helpful with my one question during our stay! We will definitely come back during the summer.

This was the 3rd year my family has stayed here, and we've enjoyed it every time. The host is easy to contact and quick to respond, and she has made several updates since our first year including a new grill & new bedding. If you want luxury, you won't get that here. But if you want a clean, bright, and roomy place with all the necessities & a beautiful lake view, this is it!

My initial communication with the host, she came across very short and rude. She sent a payment request, and before I paid for it I verified with her that the dates were correct because it only showed one night. She said it was correct, so I paid it and she immediately messaged me that I did not pay correctly and still owed for another night. I kindly reminded her that I paid what she sent me and asked that we please fix it. Next: we received a very very long message with check in/out info and rules. I understand the need to be clear with your expectations, but the message also came across as rude. I'm sorry if previous guests have caused issues in the past but you can't put that on all future guests. The message made me very uncomfortable staying that we might do something wrong and be charged extra or that we would be charged for pre-existing damage if we didn't notice something upon arrival. Aside from the host, the house is just okay. The beds were not comfortable, and the AC is right outside of the wall by the Master bed.. it is very loud all night long. The house was clean, but the floors were oddly sticky. The lights on the pier worked, but the outlets did not so we were not able to clean our fish. The driveway is extremely narrow and the grass on either side is not well kept. There was not enough room at the house to be able to turn our truck/boat around once we were in so we had to back the boat all the way out. The freezer did not keep our food frozen
