Very comfortable stone house thoroughly renovated in 2008 - large terrace overlooking Plakias Bay, flowered patio – located just outside Mariou quiet village - very good tavernas and restaurants at reasonable prices in Mariou village as well as in villages nearby and in Plakias on the seaside - great sandy beaches nearby with crystal waters - authentic region, great for hiking and swimming .

Stayed Aug 17, 2019Lovely quiet house on hill at edge of village. There was a problem with our midnight check in as the host had given the caretaker the wrong dates and we were not expected. Luckily there was no-one else staying, so we were able to stay after a short delay. We enjoyed the area and local taverna. The house was spacious and they terrace was nice - although it was very windy. We had to buy washing powder, toilet roll etc which was annoying, but otherwise all was fine.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully situated house. The village is very quiet, the view from the spacious terrace is wonderful and the house is very comfortable. No exceptional luxury but very convenient for people looking for a comfortable house to spend their holiday in. Shops are nearby as is the beach and the beautiful countryside of Southern Crete is asking to be explored from here.
