Stayed Jan 1, 1We had a wonderful stay at the house. It is very spacious, with plenty of room for our group of seven adults. Restaurants, supermarket and the beautiful castle Campbell within walking distance. The place is fully equipped with everything you need: dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer. The beds were comfortable, though the duvets were a bit too warm for the season. With three bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen (including a stocked fridge with milk and eggs), we really couldn’t complain. After returning home, there was some discussion about an alleged damage issue, but thankfully this was resolved in a fair and professional way.

Stayed Aug 13, 2025We had a lovely stay at Harviestoun House. The bedrooms were particularly generous in size and comfortable. The kitchen was the best stocked of any of the houses we stayed in during our trip. Excellent handbook of appliance manuals and instructions. So much to see in the area from Edinburgh to Stirling, Culross, the Japanese Garden, Crieff. My two minor criticisms are that the table in the kitchen is a bit tight and the parking situation is not good, especially with a larger group.

Stayed Jan 1, 1Dollar was an adorable little town and this house was just perfect. The house in centrally located in town, easy walk to shops and with everything you could need for your stay. We chose to stay here because it was a good spot between Stirling, Edinburgh, and Perth, but we ended up spending a few days in Dollar because it was so beautiful and had access to some great walking trails and Castle Campbell. I would highly recommend this house and this town for your holiday.

Stayed Jan 1, 1It was a little difficult to locate the property, perhaps easier to direct people to park in the small lane down the side of the house? So much easier to unload the car there too. Communication with Stirling Self Catering was excellent, fantastic in fact. We loved the house, so roomy and well equipped, spotlessly clean too. Beds were huge which was great! Having never visited the area before, we loved Dollar and the surrounding countryside, plenty to see and do. We would love to come back at a later date.

Stayed Jun 5, 2025Lovely cottage in a perfect location for us to explore St. Andrews, Edinburgh, and Troon. Dollar is an adorable little village with just enough restaurants. We also hiked up to the castle-it was so picturesque.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Lovely house, lots of space. Beds were comfy and thought if pretty much everything you might need. Clearer signed parking area at back may have helped but would come back

Stayed Oct 17, 2024The house is on a main road but once we found it and our way around to park at the side, it was easy. The house was very clean and well presented and warmed up quickly. The provision of milk, bread, eggs and butter was a lovely touch but I had ordered a shopping delivery so we had extra to take home. We cooked in the kitchen and it was very well equipped. We had everything we needed. It is a short walk to the village shops, cafes and restaurants making it ideal to go out for meals and provisions. I would recommend the property to anyone looking for somewhere in this area.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We arrived to a spotlessly clean house, the basics were provided. Eggs, butter and milk in the fridge, some coffee and sugar. Everything for a good start. The wintergarden and the lounge invited for relaxing afternoons and evenings, a wood fired oven made it cozy. We found a folder with all the instructions for the kitchen fittings, washing machine and dryer and good insights for what to do in Dollar and around. Stirling Self catering, the agency, was just an email away and replied very quickly. But thanks to the very good condition of the house that was not necessary. The only downside are the very pretty blinds, unfortunately they let too much light in, so we woke up quite early every day. The check out was easy due to very specific emails that explained carefully every step. We returned home from a fabulous holiday, relaxed and refreshed.

Stayed May 11, 2024Our family of 5 (all adults) thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dollar! The town is charming, and we especially enjoyed being able to walk down the street to the coffee shops, restaurants and co-op grocery store. The home is warm and inviting. We appreciated that there was room for everyone to have their space. The beds super comfortable, and three bathrooms were very much appreciated. It was also wonderful to have a washer and dryer available for our use. We very much felt at home.
