Beautiful Rockridge Craftsman Home with Quiet Garden

My family absolutely loved staying at Ruel's home. It worked perfectly for my family's stay during our wedding. They especially enjoyed cooking family meals the gorgeous kitchen and hanging out in the beautiful back patio and garden. The bridal party also got ready at the house before the wedding and it was just perfect. Thank you Ruel!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ruel and Bertrand’s home. The location is close to most East Bay venues, the home is well apppointed and very comfortable. The owners are also highly attentive and responsive. Highly recommended and we look forward to returning! 5 stars!

This is an unbelievably gorgeous house with a great kitchen, lovely garden and very comfortable. It’s close to BART and has street parking. It is in a great location with supermarkets and shops nearby. We loved it. Thank you.

We loved all the wonderful details of this home, with many Asian antiques and art work. Fantastic kitchen and sun filled breakfast nook, plus lovely garden. The home is also walking distance to the many restaurants, coffee shops and stores on College Ave.

I can't say enough good things about our stay...The owners were easy to work with and excellent hosts. The home is in a quiet and very safe location in the East Bay. It is a short walk to the Rockridge Bart Station and surrounding restaurants and stores, a short drive to the Ferry out of Jack London Square, and easy access to and from the major highways. From this location we could walk into Berkeley and make easy day trips to San Francisco, Stinson Beach, Muir Woods, Sausalito, Pt Reyes, San Jose, Half Moon Bay, and Santa Cruz. The home is recently renovated, beautifully decorated, and is a very comfortable place to relax alone or with family and friends. The home had plenty of room for our family of 6 with a separate bedroom for each of the 4 kids, multiple communal spaces, and a large kitchen. The loft bedroom has a view of San Fransisco and is accessed through a ladder and trap door. My 11 year old daughter stayed in this room and loved the novelty of this space. With three full service bathrooms it was easy to get everyone ready and out the door for an adventure in the morning. The kitchen opens up to an extravagant outdoor garden (pictures don't do it justice) that made for a special space to drink coffee in the morning and have dinners together in the evening. The garden creates both a place to escape and an attractive place to bring a family together. Thank you Ruel for opening your home to us. It was the perfect place to relax together and helped us create adventures and memories that will last a lifetime.

All information provided was helpful and useful. Great, safe location. Had trouble getting the front door to stay closed even when locked, most likely due to the weather changes that were occurring. Overall perfect experience.

We had our family reunion here and the home and location was everything we'd hoped. This inviting house and garden are absolutely beautiful and so serene. A five minute walk to College Ave for cafes, shops and public transport meant we didn't need a car. The owners and neighbour were delightful and responsive. Highly recommended.
