Stayed Apr 3, 2026Was a beautiful property with a great view of the lake. Steep driveway to the house, but street level parking and easy access to a dock for fishing, etc. This would be a beautiful spot for a summer vacation.

Stayed Oct 21, 2025The cabin was excellent even though not lake front but across the road from the lake. The kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were firm and comfortable. The driveway was horrible for 5 guests 70years, steep, narrow. radical turn and no reasonable parking on the drive or near the cabin. I would not stay hear again because of the driveway.

Stayed Oct 8, 2025Very clean, beautiful views, I love breakfast on the deck, I could hang out all day there. high winds and drought kept us from enjoying the fire pit by the dock. Very quiet area with lots of finger lakes type things to do close by. Be sure to check out the corner grape/jelly stand on Culver hill rd/skyline drive. Abandon brewery has nice selection of beer, good pretzel bites and more beautiful views from their deck. Keuka outlet trail is a nice easy hiking /bike path. Watkins glen was partially closed due to construction of a new access bridge, we were bummed. Awesome couple days, glad to make it back!

Stayed Oct 3, 2025Sure! Here’s a warm, friendly review you can use or tweak as needed:---We had a wonderful stay at this Finger Lakes rental! The home was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into the details as everything we needed was provided. The location was perfect: close to wineries, hiking trails, and the lake, but still peaceful and private. We loved enjoying our coffee on the deck each morning and relaxing by the fire pit in the evenings. Check-in was smooth and communication with the hosts was easy and prompt. The one improvement for us might be a memory foam topper on the beds, as we found them a bit on the firm side. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in the Finger Lakes!

Stayed Sep 10, 2025Our stay was outstanding. The cabin is beautiful and well furnished. At the top of a breathtaking driveway, it sits above a stunning lake in New York's wine country, We enjoyed morning coffee with a bright aunrise at the waterfront, then explored the countryside's waterfalls and wineries during many afternoons. What a great location!Joey was a helpful host, providing all the information we needed. It was a magical week, and we hope to return.

Stayed Aug 17, 2025Staying on the lake was great. It was so nice to have our own spot to go boating and fishing. The house probably was nice a while back but it definitely needed a deep clean. There was a smell from the upstairs bathroom (which I now see that another review also mentioned). The microwave had food residue inside and the oven was not clean. There were a lot of cobwebs throughout. While it was a great location and we had a nice time, I would not return to this house bc of the lack of cleanliness. Also, after we booked the property I was sent an email asking me to bring things like extra toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels etc. For me this was annoying as it was another list of items to think about that I would think should be plentiful in an house rental. We were also asked to put in 2 loads of laundry. We stripped the beds and washed and dried the sheets, and put the towels in the washing machine. Getting out at 10am and doing this in addition to packing up was another not expected thing in a house rental. Overall we had a fun time and I would go back to the area, but not this specific house. And yes the driveway was very steep so we generally parked on the street which was fine. Made packing and unpacking the car a bit harder but not a deal breaker.

Stayed Jul 23, 2025As many families that stay here the place should be disinfected after every use especially the bathrooms! The upstairs bathroom wasn’t cleaned it had pubic hair, hair and crap in the tub and all over the floor! The toothbrush holder had mold in it! There were cobwebs in every corner of the bedrooms and behind every bed headboard, and sides of the bed, they have never been dusted or vacuumed for a long time! The cabin itself sits across the road high on a hill with a very steep driveway. The only thing Lakeview is the dock and lake toys with a couple out buildings. The amenities to the cabin were good, tv, towels, dishes, ect. Beautiful view of the porch looking down to the lake.

Stayed Aug 9, 2025We had a lovely week at Joey’s cabin! Keuka lake is a magical place. What we loved:- The cabin is spacious - plenty of towels and showers had delightfully hot water- multiple outdoor seating options with beautiful views - although it’s a hike, the cabin is secluded and quiet, very peaceful! There are a few areas for improvement like better seating options by the water, the oven needing a thorough cleaning or upgrade, the single full bed is quite firm and uncomfortable, and less clutter in the house to make it more of a blank slate for guests.

Stayed Aug 4, 2025Check in was a breeze since the instructions given were very thorough and detailed. Cabin was clean, neat and stocked with amenities as advertised. Lakefront was beautiful with lots of water sports equipment available to use. Driveway and walkway to the lake front is a little steep which may pose a challenge for those with mobility issues. Host was promptly responsive to any questions we had.

Stayed Jun 30, 2025The house is large, lovely and serene in the trees. The driveway is a beast, even parking on it, I was surprised every morning that the car hadn’t rolled down. It’s another hike down to the water and back up. We loved the boats and floaties and really used them. You just have to really be prepared to walk steep hills up and down all day.

Stayed Jun 5, 2025The house was nice and we loved to it on the front deck overlooking the lake. The neighborhood was very quite. Reading some reviews before hand, the common complaint was the steep driveway, two of us have some problems with our knees but we managed. It was the steepest driveway I have ever encountered. One thing that let me down was that the house is not actually on the lake, only a piece of property across the street from the house. There is a bulkhead and a peer there and not a beach type access to the water. This was a problem for my brother who brought his own kayaks and really needed the beach for entering the water. It was a little too windy for kayaking anyway, so as it turned out, he launched at a park in Penn Yan once and didn't like the windy conditions anyway. Just a warning for others. If you plan on preparing any meals, make sure you bring a knife sharpener like I did. The knives would cut warm butter and that's about it. All and all we had a good time touring the wineries and breweries but would not use this place again because of the couple drawbacks

Stayed Apr 25, 2025Beautiful property that is extremely well stocked/furnished. Have stayed at several VRBO’s and often times there are kitchen items missing but not at this location. Lake views off the two tier deck or front porch are stunning. Excellent location to visit the various wineries and distilleries around the lake.we had a short few hour power outage and Joey was quick to update us.On the listing it states STEEP tricky drive and this is NOT an exaggeration! We only made it 1/2 way up in my FWD SUV.

Stayed Oct 25, 2024The cabin is charming and well stocked. It was clean and the beds and linens were comfortable. What came as a surprise was the steepness of the driveway. We had 2 older women in our group and one woman in a walking boot from breaking her foot. The top of the driveway is at least a 45 degree angle. It's very very steep and very hard to walk on and drive down. You have to back down the driveway and then make a 90 degree bend in the middle of it. Please be advised of this before booking especially if you have older or disabled members in your party.

Stayed Sep 26, 2024The location was right across the street from the lake and the lake views from the porch were stunning! The only drawbacks were the musty smell of the wood cabin, which is natural as it is so close to a big body of water & the Teflon pots and pans in the kitchen. Otherwise, it was cozy and comfortable for all of us 6 friends to stay in

Stayed Oct 11, 2024We had a wonderful long weekend away at this cabin! The driveway is notably steep, but the views are worth it. If we were to stay again, we would pack our trunks differently to prevent chasing water bottles down the driveway upon arrival. Clean, cozy and functional! The kids enjoyed playing the Wii downstairs while we enjoyed sipping coffee upstairs. Thank you, Joey!

Stayed Aug 31, 2024We were only here for two nights while wine shopping so didn’t have too much time to enjoy the house and lake. We had a good time though. The steep driveway can be a tough hike up and down. The lake is beautiful and an easy walk down. Would have loved to take out the canoe or paddle board. Great deck with plenty of room and multiple grills.

Stayed Aug 11, 2024The indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and inviting. The waterfront was spacious with easy access to the water. To get to the water you must walk down the driveway, cross the road and then go down a shared driveway to the dock. With children aged 6 and 10 I was a little nervous about the road, but traffic is light and the drivers were cautious and considerate and the children followed good road-crossing protocol. A suggestion about the tricky driveway up to the cabin: If you have backup cameras, backing up the driveway is easier than backing down. Once we figured out the best way to negotiate it, the driveway was no problem. For the lower drive to the lake, backing down and driving up worked best. We had a great time!

Stayed Jul 9, 2024The cottage is lovely and roomy, situated in the trees with multiple porches from which to admire the lake. Waterfront area is good, with plenty of swim and boating equipment (though a second kayak would be nice). The famous driveway is steep, especially for old knees, but definitely unavoidable, given the perfect setting of overlooking the lake yet with access to it.
