Beautiful Relaxing Retreat with Private Swimming Pool

The cottage was perfect for us and our dog. Jon and Angela were very welcoming and were there if we needed them, but otherwise left us to enjoy the peace and quiet in the beautiful garden and its surroundings. The pool is a good size, and having a sliding cover meant we could also use it when we had rain. The outside seating area is fantastic - low seats and coffee table to sit out in the sun, and also a really large covered area with dining table and chairs to sit in the shade or take shelter from the rain. We particularly liked being able to go for walks with our dog straight from the property in the evenings. We were surrounded by beautiful fields of sunflowers and sweetcorn. We had a wonderful stay at Le Pras, thank you.

Excellent for a relaxing stay. Cottage well equipped and maintained. Lovely garden and swimming pool. Hosts very welcoming but not intrusive. Pretty walks in the local area and accessible interesting places to visit by car.

We’ve just returned from 10 nights in Le Pras Cottage, a beautiful rural cottage with a wonderful pool and lots of outside space for relaxing. Bordeaux, St. Emillion, Cognac and Periguex are all approximately one hours drive, plus a couple of local villages and markets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Jon was a fantastic host, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We would highly recommend Le Pras and look forward to returning. Tip: If you travel on the N10, watch out for the speed cameras! Jo & Holly 🌻

We had a wonderful week spending quality time with our family. The property is very homely and cosy. We felt very at home. The pool was our saviour on a scorching week. Tina & Neil were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The farmhouse was above our expectations. Even small details such as adapters were supplied. Thank you for a wonderful stay at your lovely holiday home; you've done a fabulous job. It was so comfortable, homely, welcoming and just perfect! Great use was made of the pool and the hammock especially and much good local food eaten. I can see the place is well loved and we know why! Directions great, everything just worked like clockwork. I would recommend to anyone without hesitation. We were just a family of four so we were spoiled for space; would be great to go back with extended family/friends as there is room for many more both inside and out. Had a fabulous day on the Atlantic coast but were otherwise very lazy and just enoyed being in such a lovely place.

This was a last minute booking that we decided to take a chance on. Jon was very helpful & despite us both being new to HomeAway we managed to conclude the booking between us, not the most straightforward of processes but that's not Jon's fault. Arrived at the house & was really impressed with the effort that had been made by the owner & his managers to provide a holiday home that has just about everything that you might need, spacious & welcoming whilst the two parts to the house are traditional & contemporary, it is perfectly proportioned for families. The pool was one of the best we've experienced after several trips to the region over the years. Really nice grounds. A car is essential as the nearest modest sized villages / towns aren't too close. Not a problem for us though. I'd recommend the cottage to anyone who might be thinking of visiting this part of France. Overall a really nice place, Thanks to Jon, Rebecca, Tina & Neil for providing us with a particularly enjoyable and relaxing base.
