Beautiful Private River, Pool Table, Games, Lush Lawn, Pet OK, Kayak Heaven!

Our stay was great. The house worked for our group and was clean. The oven did have something spilled in the bottom that smoked when used, but it was really not a big deal. Informed them at check out, so I'm sure they will clean it up. The place could use a few fixes, but we loved it regardless. The water was low, but the area in front of our place was perfect. We had plenty water to play in. Check In/Out was a breeze.

Had a great time, house was comfortable. Loved the fact that access to the river was limited by natural barriers up and down river. Limited our ability to kayak very far, but also limited others using the river where we were.

Mouse droppings in kitchen cabinets was biggest issue

We had lots of mice droppings. There were notes with fines in the house. This hose slept 20 and only had five forks. The air s could not be turned below 74 because the unit would freeze and I would have to pay the technician 200 to come out. The river was nice but in three days we never saw a sole.

Our family (parents, siblings & grandkids) of 18 recently stayed at the Swimming Hole and we loved our time there. You could not beat the view from the back porch with all the rocking chairs, the easy river access, the water levels behind the house and all the lovely shade! We stayed outside 90% of the time and the home had everything we needed. The 11 grandkids loved the bunkhouse and all getting to sleep together each night. We brought a video baby monitor from home and could easily communicate and keep an eye on them when needed.

The location is fantastic and the house has potential, but it is not well maintained. Positives: Location Outside fridge Porch and rockers were great Plenty of outside chairs Living room couch and chairs are nice The yard down to the river was great The lights on the river are a nice touch Needs work: It was cleaned well, but there was a hole in the floor walking into the guest room that cut a foot - the kitchen ice maker doesn't work - the kitchen trash can was so broken it was almost unusable, really needs a new one -lots of pots but not fully stocked kitchen.. definitely doesn't have enough silverware, but we brought paper and plastic. needs a baking sheet, a cake pan and hot pads. We purchased some and left them for next family. -nasty stains that smelled like puke on the guest bedroom carpets -the sheets were not the correct sizes we had twin sheets on full size beds. -pillows are terrible, bring your own. -the bunkhouse is not a separate building and it shares a wall with the guest rooms, so do not plan on sleeping if you have teenagers that want to play pool and stay up late -no hooks or towel bars in master bedroom or bathroom at all.

The house is your typical river or lake house. It works really well for a large group of people. The house could use some updates, and better lighting. But all in all it works. There are plenty of beds, and lots of space for people to do all different kinds of activities. The second fridge on the porch really helped with storing food and drinks for so many people. I loved the lights down by the river.

We love staying in homes like these that feel like home. This is definitely where you want to have your family reunion so the kids can stay in the bunkhouse, and there is so much to do! The hosts are very responsive at what I thought would be unreasonable hours. We will definitely be back next year for Frio Float Fest 2025!

This was a good location for our family trip. There is easy access to the Frio with lovely Cypress trees shading the river. There is a hammock and a fire pit down by the river entrance. In the backyard there is bbq, cement cornhole set up, horseshoes, a tire swing, and areas for volleyball and tether ball. Most of the rooms are however are dark (which can be a good thing). A fan is helpful as well. Key pick up & drop off is ~25 minutes away in Concan. We did not have cell service, but the wifi was strong and were able to communicate via that method. TV cable was not set up, so if you plan on watching something, bring a firestick. It’s not a fancy place, but overall it fit our needs for the weekend and worked out perfectly. The access to the Frio is solid.

We really enjoyed Aqua Bonita. The house was plenty big, the pool and outside area are STUNNING and access to the river is just a couple minutes away. We will be back for sure?
