Beautiful Mount Mitchell Home - Stunning views, decks & hot tub & endless hikes

This was our second stay at this beautiful home, and somehow it was even better than the first. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the most breathtaking mountain views, whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee, relaxing on the couch, or watching the sunset light up the sky, it never gets old.The home itself is the perfect mix of cozy and spacious. It was incredibly clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We especially loved the large windows and deck area, such a peaceful place to unwind and take in the scenery.Our family had the best time here, from relaxing inside to exploring nearby and just enjoying being together. Even our pup felt right at home! It’s clear the owners put a lot of care into making this a comfortable and welcoming space.One thing to note, our older daughter was still able to get Uber Eats deliveries, which was a nice surprise in such a mountain location. With some road closures during our stay, deliveries and travel took a little longer, but everything still worked out just fine.We’re already talking about coming back again, this has officially become one of our favorite getaway spots. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and truly relaxing stay!

Gorgeous view from the top floor. Property was easy to access, but still felt remote. Kitchen had everything you could want or need to cook a great Thanksgiving meal. Owners were great and worked to make our stay peaceful and restful.

The home was amazing. Beds were super comfy. Everything was pristine clean. The hot tub was a great way for everyone to relax after a long hike to the Catawba Falls. Then we have the amazing view from the back deck. Unbeatable beauty. The house had everything you needed. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of towels in the bathrooms, plenty of seating for everyone to hang out together. Literally the only complaint I have is the curtains in the bedrooms on the main floor not covering the windows all the way. The deck wraps around in front of the bedroom window and didn't allow much privacy when changing clothes while other people in our group were outside on the deck. Not a super huge deal and could be easily fixed with one more curtain panel. But if a curtain was the only thing I was concerned about then I'd say we hit the jackpot with this stay. We would absolutely stay again. We weren't far away from the things we wanted to do like hiking and touring the Linville Caverns. We had the absolute best time and it far surpassed our expectations.

We had an amazing time for our family trip with me, my husband, and our 3 adult daughters and their spouses! The Troutmans were fabulous to work with and immediately answered any questions we had when making the reservations and for our trip. The house was meticulously clean, very comfortable (the beds were terrific), supplied with everything we needed, and plenty big that everyone could spread out and have their own space. We will definitely be back.

Stayed with some friends and our pups while in town for a wedding. Pictures did not do the house justice as we were all amazed upon arrival. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy, beautifully maintained, and the views were stunning. My husband took advantage of the nearby hiking trails, the kids loved having their own space, and I enjoyed some much-needed relaxation with my books. It was the perfect getaway for our family. We can’t wait to come back!

This is an amazing property. The hosts have thought of absolutely everything from the beautiful, comfortable furnishings to the extensively stocked kitchen. Check in/check out was incredibly easy. The views from the back deck are impressive. We are already looking forward to planning another visit in the future!
