Penn Yan, New York
Vacation on the shore of Seneca Lake, on your own 100 foot private shale beach minutes away from world-class Finger Lakes wineries! This lakefront home feels very private- it's as if you are the only guests on Seneca lake! This home is family friendly and fun for adults, too.
Make dinner on the grill and eat outside on the deck overlooking Seneca lake, or visit some of the nearby restaurants: casual or fine dining. Enjoy a glass of wine on the dock or at a local winery (or brewery, if beer is more your style!). Make a fire in the fire pit on the beach and indulge in some sticky s'mores.
Dock, kayaks, and paddle boats (and life jackets) provided! Play all day at the lake: fishing, kayaking, swimming, or just relaxing. Enjoy the wildlife! Herons and other birds abound- even bald eagles have been spotted in the skies!
This lakefront ranch home features 4 bedrooms (one king, two queens, and a room with two bunk beds) and a comfortable queen sleeper sofa. Two full bathrooms, spacious living room with lots of seating and natural light, and an expansive outdoor deck await you.
Drive right up to the door of the house! There is plenty of parking: the driveway can easily accommodate 6 vehicles. The home is on a quiet residential street with very little traffic.
Only 11 steps to the beach! The beach is a natural shale beach. You'll find a picnic table and other furniture on the beach. In the summer the wildflowers attract beautiful butterflies!
Bring your own boat: there are cleats on the end of the dock available for your use.
Stay comfortable! The house is equipped with central air conditioning. The kitchen has all the essential equipment, including all the tools you'd need to bake a cake! Towels and linens are provided.
We love this house and you will too!
Beautiful home, private, and tranquil. Everything you could possibly need! Thank you for all the small touches. I’ve rented many vacation homes with large groups, and the little things make a big difference. The flowers are beautiful! I watched a hummingbird pollinating flowers, baby ducks swimming along, a big turtle. The kayaks and paddle boats were a huge hit with the kids, and plenty of life vests. The fire pit was great, really you couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you again! Would definitely come back.
This was a perfect house for our group!! Everything was great, we loved it.
We had a wonderful stay this past week and it had a great location and view from the house. My family (included my two teenaged boys) enjoyed the kayaks, pedal boats and inflatable tubes this week. The hosts thought of everything from drinking water, soaps, and spices for food. The house was very clean, quiet, comfortable, and functional. We didn’t even turn on the TV all week and instead enjoyed our various trips to the state parks, local attractions, and spent a lot of our time at the dock on the lake. We couldn’t catch a fish, but we loved trying right from the dock! We especially enjoyed the Sampson State Park fireworks view from the dock for July 4th. My family agreed we'd stay here again!
Wonderful place to stay ❤️
It was a great house for what we wanted to spend time with our 2 year old and our family friends who had a 5 month old. The house was spacious enough for both our families and we loved having access to the dock and the kayaks. Location is minutes away from all the fun wineries & breweries. Jocelyn was a great communicator and made the whole process super easy!
Lovely little rancher-style home that felt like a cottage. We had everything we needed for an extended weekend away with 7 adults. The home is situated in the perfect spot on the wine trail. We also caught fish off the dock in between wine and cheese tastings. It was a very relaxing weekend to celebrate my Dad’s 67th Birthday. Thank you!!
Lovely spot on Seneca Lake right in the middle of all the wineries. Lots of room in the house and a great dock with Adirondack chairs. The hosts were communicative and kind when I had a delayed departure due to a rental issue. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!
Clean and quiet lakeside retreat. Close to vineyards.
The property was amazing. We All said that we want to come back in warmer months. We came the first weekend in October 2022, for a long weekend. There were eight adults no children. The property accommodated all of us perfectly fine and there was hot water for everyone's shower. Being right on the lake was awesome. The fire pit outside right on the lake was also great. It was a little too cold to go out on the water but there were kayaks and paddle boards available none of us were brave enough though. Great sunrise again right there on the lake. And a great location to get to all the places we like in the area. Jocelyn was super communicative and responded immediately with any concern which was mostly just questions before I got there. A nice touch was a sound machine in every room that helped us all drown out our husband's snoring. Really the property had everything we could think of and things we didn't think of. I definitely recommend it and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Jocelyn I've added this to the list of properties I would love to stay at again!
Nice view of lake. Clean. Bright w/ 4 skylights. Enjoyed location. Better than expected. We would return.
My sister was getting married and we didn’t want to be in the way, so we rented this house instead of staying with my parents as we usually do. The house was great we had 8 adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room. It was super clean and the kayaks to use were a great addition!
The place is even better than advertised. It's got room to stretch out and relax. It's scenic, light, relaxing and perfectly located for privacy and yet in easy driving distance to stores and wineries. The landlords couldn't be nicer! We'll be back!
We were somewhat disappointed in that we couldn't drink the tap water. We also found the thick weeds in the lake made regular swimming less enjoyable.
We had a wonderful week at Jocelyn and Desmond’s lake front home. Everything was as described in the listing and the home was fully stocked with kitchen appliances and tools as well as a grill and outdoor seating. The sitting area at the end of the dock was a family favorite. We saw beautiful sunrises and sunsets and really enjoyed being able to sit right over the lake. The location is great for visiting the many wineries and breweries and restaurants in the area.
Had a great time gathering with girlfriends at this cozy cottage. The house was spacious enough for the 5 of us. A few minor negative issues were noticed: musty smell especially in the entryway, kitchen faucet needs to be repaired or replaced, sink in one bathroom needs Drano, cobwebs on outside of livingroom windows, deck and stairs to lake needed to be blown off, bushes and trees along driveway, near the deck and next to the lake stairs were overgrown. It would have been nice to have mirrors in each bedroom. Overall the house was comfortable, nicely decorated and functional. We enjoyed the dock and the water toys. Our limited contact with the owners was pleasant. A good time was had by all!
Property was beautiful. We brought our boat and had a good time cruising around and fishing. Great location and the house was perfect for our party of 8 adults and a 5 month old. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back and stay again.
We had an amazing stay here! Plenty of space and it was bright and sunny inside. The view of the lake was top notch and the hosts were incredibly accommodating. We loved the living spaces and having 4 bedrooms was exactly what my group needed. We would definitely book here again.
We were a mixed group: ages above 80 to 20 years. We older ones could just watch the lake. The 20 yr old could enjoy the kayak. The area was lovely and the stay peaceful.
We just came home from a wonderful weekend in the FLX! The house was positioned right near tones of wineries and breweries and sat right on Seneca Lake. From booking, to arrival, to check out everything was a breeze and Jen was great at answering all our questions! We even were welcomed with a bottle of wine and info for restaurants and favorite spots nearby. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend for a lake life trip :)
We spent a long weekend with friends at Jocelyn and Desmond’s Seneca Lake home over Memorial Day weekend. They were phenomenal hosts who communicated well and gave us suggestions on things to do during our stay. The house was perfect for our needs. It was clean, well-kept, and stocked with everything we needed. The open floor plan was perfect for a group of friends or family. It's central to so many things. It's a short drive to Watkins Glen, Penn Yan, and Geneva. There are copious amounts of wineries and breweries to visit after hiking the numerous local trails. In the evenings, we loved sitting on the dock, watching the Purple Martins, star gazing and relaxing.
