Beautiful Home on Pine Creek Backs up to Lyman Run State Park & the PA Wilds!!!!

If you’re going to the area for stargazing the. This is a reasonable place to stay. Access to the stream behind the home is/was a bit challenging. The heating and cooling system worked well. And it has the pots and pans and appliances needed for comfort and ease. Overall it’s a nice place.

Thank you so much for opening your home to my family, again. The property is easy to get to, right outside of the town of Galeton. There is a grocery store , liquor store and the cutest gift shops just a few miles down the road. The property is clean and super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. TV’s in both bedrooms on the main floor and an extra sleeping space in the loft.(ladder to access). The backyard is very peaceful with the sounds of the Pine Creek flowing. Tv service is great.

Very clean and comfortable in a gorgeous setting! The views from the kitchen windows were so peaceful with the snow as well. The cabin had everything we needed. We will definitely plan to book again!

This house was great. Galeton never disappoints. The two bedrooms on the main floor are spacious and beds are comfy. The loft space is perfect for kids, or for adults if more sleeping space is needed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would need. The location is easy to find and is off far enough from route 6 that you don’t hear any truck traffic.

Your home was warm, cozy, and inviting.No major complaints as everything was stated. A few little hiccups here and there. But not anything outlandish.The views were breathtaking. The area was peaceful. The stargazing was amazing on our second night. Will be visiting again in the future.

We were here for a two night stay while visiting a variety of locations in northern PA. This place is both quite remote but also close to just enough things to keep you interested. The property is well kept and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

My significant other and I really enjoyed our stay here! The home was so cozy, warm and well-maintained. The location was perfect and we had the best time stargazing, roasting marshmallows in the fire, playing pingpong and hiking. Would definitely recommend :)

We stayed 5 days and hiked in all the parks. Weather was great and so were the views. The rental was very cozy with a homey feel. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals. It was a perfect for unwinding. We were very pleased with all the amenities.

We have stayed here a couple times now and every time it’s clean and home some.

Beautiful property and very quiet! The creek was a bit further back than we initially thought, but enjoyed the views and caught a small trout! Lots of room for my husband and our dog without being in top of each other. Great little weekend getaway location and reasonable distance to Cherry Springs.

Beautiful property, clean and well-stocked. This was our second visit to this property and we will be back. Peaceful and relaxing with easy access to state parks.

This place had a homey feel to it. The area is amazing for natural beauty. the night time sky is absolutely unreal. Check-in was easy. Kitchen was beautiful and spacious. Very nice. Would gladly stay there again.

Great stay overall. No problems checking in & house was very clean. Bedding was comfortable and kitchen was sufficiently stocked for our weekend getaway. The yard was peaceful with space for kids to plau games and firepit in the Evening. It was a nice surprise that there was a bundle of firewood when we arrived. There are several businesses & homes in the area that sold wood so we just replenished and left some extras for the next.visitors. We visited a beautiful blue hole approx 30min away. Downtown Wellesboro is a short 20 minute ride with charming restaurant's like The Roost and The Wellsboro Diner. The grand canyon pa loop has several great look out points and an outdoorsman's paradise with fishing, ATV & snowmobile trails. We have been to the area many times but 1st time closer to Lyman & Cherry Springs State Park. We enjoyed how quiet the area was. Internet in the area is tough so its a good idea to have a map backup as there are alot of back roads you can get kost in. We will be back.

House was clean and comfortable. Beds were not the most comfortable, but I am not a fan of memory foam. Overall, good place to stay.

The property was beautiful, clean and peaceful and the stargazing was wonderful. Me and my family had a wonderful time, relaxing and enjoying some of the fun spots in the nearby town. My one small issue is that I could not seem to find where the creek is on the property grounds. The photos show a nice wide open part of the creek that looks easily accessible and is labeled as property grounds. However, it seems to not actually be on the property. I reached out to the host to ask when I arrived and unfortunately for my entire stay I did not get a response, so we did not get to enjoy the creek at all which we were looking forward to very much

2nd time there in 6 months!! Loved it even more in July then February. Got to enjoy the fire pit and Cherry Springs this time. Great location!

We had a good time. Comfortable beds. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Could use a few more washcloths and a trim of the tree and bushes out front.

The house was lovely in every way, on a beautiful property. The night sky was breathtaking. Amenities were plentiful and useful, as were suggestions for local businesses. We would absolutely stay here again!

This house is nestled away on a quiet street. The home is beautiful and comfortable, we felt very safe here. The water/shower did have a sulfur smell which I learned is normal for homes like this, and wasn’t a huge deal. We had a great time on our first visit to the PA Grand Canyon and Cherry Springs State Park. We are already talking about coming back!

This was the fourth time we stayed at this location and we will be back. Quiet neighborhood in convenient location.

The house was very nice. It worked out wonderful for the four of us. It rained several times on us during our stay so the ping pong table was nice to have available. Overall experience was very good ,close to all the state parks we wanted to visit. We did a lot of fishing while we were there only down fall was there wasn't a easy way that we found to the creek from the back yard... But found access to the creek just a short walk down the road. And Lyman lake was not far away and had some decent fishing.

Had a great time. Property met expectations we'd have when it comes to cabins. Our sons (11yrs, 4yrs at the time of this stay) loved the ping pong table. Cabin had everything we needed. It was a great location for us to visit all the surrounding state parks. We did notice the sulfur smell with the water but, as campers and visitors to other cabins, we come to expect this at certain locations. Thanks for having us.

We came to stargaze, but Mother Nature had other ideas and it rained all weekend. We made the best of it and played ping pong, watched movies on the comfy living room couch, and had fun exploring Galeton. We can’t wait to stay again.

The house was very cute, clean, nicely remodeled. Perfect location to Cherry Springs park, Wellsboro, and the Grand Canyon. Comfortable living and kitchen area. Nice backyard on Pine Creek. We loved it and week go back.

Quiet, relaxing stay.

This property is very nice but it could use a little bit of higher end touches. The towels were so thin that you could see through them and the comforters on the beds look like they were from the 70's. The propane grill was out of propane and so was the extra tank in the garage. The upper rack in the dishwasher was missing. A large construction project was going on at the property next door that would have been nice to know about. It appears that a very large pond on the neighbors property lost all its water and they are using large machinery to move the earth which is anything but quiet.

Adorable, updated, and well-kept little place for a get away. Everything was updated and super clean. The only reason this isn't a 5-star review overall was that the place was near impossible to find in the dark - the mailbox is on a different side of the street from the others and the numbering system on the street (not the owner's fault!) is strange. Also, the tap water as many have noted is well water and the smell was extremely sulfurous.

This property is clean and well appointed, pictures are accurate and up to date. Check in and check out are self serve, easy, and convenient. We used this property as a jumping off point to explore the trails of the Susquehannock state forest and were not at all disappointed. The property owner is kind and helpful and quickly answered a number of questions that I asked via the VRBO messenger app. We will defiantly be returning to explore even more of the beautiful wilderness in this area and would definitely stay here again as a first choice.

We really enjoyed our time here. Check in was very easy. The property was clean and cozy. We enjoyed the beautiful area for hiking and stargazing. Also playing ping pong was a fun bonus. Overall really great and would absolutely come back

This place was great to stay at! A couple things though. First, it is perfect for two or three people, any more and it might get a little tight. The water also smelled like rotten eggs so I think there is something wrong with it. And there was a lot more flies and ladybugs than what we would have liked. Other than those things, the place was excellent.

Clean and well equipped. Make sure you bring water for drinking.

Great place. Inside outstanding. Everything we needed provided. Enjoyed the fire pit. One frustration was apparently the dam on the large pond next to you broke and caused a lot of damage. Not to the inside of the house but the ability to get to pine creek for fishing and even some of your property. Hopefully their insurance will pay for it.

Absolutely loved it!!! We stayed 3 days/2 nights. We wish we had more time. The house was lovely. Our trip was planned around stargazing and the stars were amazing!

Sadly, the weather did not cooperate but we enjoyed the tranquility and the beauty of this location. Very comfortable home.

My husband and I and our small dog Shamus loved the property! The house was cozy and comfortable. It rained all but a few hours on Tuesday during our 5 day stay. We had the luxury of time and we read, cooked, napped on the couch, watched some TV, and had a much-needed relaxing stay! We would return again, as it would be great to enjoy the outside and yard more on sunny days. If I could move the house to Lancaster, PA in the woods, I would !! :) Deb & Ira

My dog Stella and I ventured to this unique spot.. coming from Southeast PA this drive up was gorgeous..I had issue with ATT SERVICE.. FYI..so WRITE DOWN ENTRY CODE.. cuz can’t get on APP with no service!! Once in house host’s WIFI perfect. HOUSE was adorable. One huge HIGH bed. One Full size ..we felt very safe here. dog loved yard .. I had a resident Eagle and Blue Heron. No deer or bear.. I imagine if flooding didn’t happen month before and adjacent pond was not EMPTY.. I wouldn’t have seen more wildlife!! Seeing how storm Debbie attacked area.. just proves how truly powerful weather is!! So no true creek access from this property.. we found our way to creek. The main road definitely louder than imagined.. overall nice experience 😎

We had a short weekend stay to go stargazing at Cherry Springs. The house was perfect for our stay. Clean, kitchen and bathroom well stocked, quiet street. We even set up the telescope in the driveway. The welcome book in the house had great information on local attractions. We chose Kinzua Bridge State Park. There was some wood left if we wanted to use the fire pit but we ran out of time, lots to do in the area.

The rental property had everything we needed and more.

We had a great weekend at Cherry Springs and the Grand Canyon of PA, even if the weather wasn’t very cooperative. We made the best of it and got lucky with some breaks in the weather. The property was in a great location, was clean, and had everything needed for a family of four. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

This property is perfect for a vacation with kids.It is clean and comfortable. The yard backs up to creek and is well maintained. My kids loved the loft upstairs, the creek, and ping pong table. Husband and I enjoyed the beautiful and serene setting.
