This is a gorgeous home, big enough to contain all 13 of us (ages 3-75) comfortably, and yet it’s really cozy. The toys are epic - kayaks & SUPs, ping pong, musical instruments, foosball, chess, stuffed animals, work out room & hot tub - we used almost everything! The kitchen is fully equipped with particularly nice cookware & tableware. We loved every minute of our stay.?
We had a group of 15 consisting of four generations of family in the home. We had plenty of space to spread out for individual activities or quiet time, then come together for meals and evening devotions. Inside, everything we needed was provided. Outside, the grounds and yard were beautiful and well kept. Kayaks and dock provided excellent access to the warm clean waters of Hood Canal. We would love to vacation there again, but cost would be a consideration.
I organized a family reunion at this house consisting of two seniors, six adults, four children, and one infant. Everyday of our visit someone thanked me for finding the perfect house. It was a vacation to remember. I am so grateful to the O’Neal’s for allowing us the chance to share in their beloved family home.
Perfect setting on the Hood Canal.
Site is suitable regardless of the complicated weather and tides! Had three generations of my family which resides literally all over USA and Europe! Everything from interior spaces, games, music and outdoor dock, basket ball hoop, paddle boards and canoes were perfect. Instructions laundry and kitchen also perfect!
Had a great time kayaking, oyster hunting, watching eagles, seals and otters. Beautiful view looking over the water, to the forest a on the opposite shore to the snow capped mountains beyond the forest. My grandchildren had so much fun. Really a gorgeous home. Thanks for renting this property to us.
Great property for a large group! Well appointed with tons of spaces for hanging out and enjoying the beautiful views. Our group especially loved the bunk house, the reading nook and the fabulous LP album collection with great sound system! It was absolutely wonderful.
Very nice location and a great view.
The features in the home can be profound, to the views of the amazing Hood Canal in just about every room, the doors that open to the deck, the kayak & SUPs, to the more overlooked features of this home - the stereo system w/ an eccentric vinyl collection, the exceptional seasonings in the kitchen cabinet, and an amazing lazy susan. And of course the panda decor! Many memories were made here, and will be reserving again next year.
Great location and home. Property has everything you need for a relaxing beach get away!
This house is just perfect! It's very large (fit our 13 adults no problem), and the views are outstanding as you're right on the lake. The main level is awesome, with the kitchen, living room, sun room, outside deck, and 3 bedrooms (4 including the pullout couch in the game room). Plenty of things to do outside, like just lounging on a deck chair, playing corn hole, kayaking, fishing, swinging, having a bonfire, etc. The dock was a huge plus as we were able to bring our boat to enjoy the water. There's a public boat launch area just a couple miles away, and although we didn't know how to do this at the time you can just leave your boat tied up to the buoy that is right out in front of the house and allow your boat to slowly be lowered on to dry land when the low tide comes without doing any damage to the boat. The property management company (Evolve) was absolutely worthless, but it was made up for by the owner being very responsive to questions. Don't even bother with the property management company, and just go straight to the owner, as they give her email address in the initial information. We would definitely stay here again. Just a fun and peaceful place to hang out.
Our group had a great time at this amazing property! We were at max capacity but with multiple living rooms and the deck, everyone still had space. The location is absolutely beautiful right on the water, the whole property is well maintained, and it was amazing to have access to all of the kayaks, SUPs, oars/paddles, and life jackets! Everyone had a wonderful time and we would not hesitate to rent this property again in the future. It was our first time on the Hood Canal and we were pleasantly surprised by how warm the water was!
The ages of our family ranged from 10 to 76 and this vrbo was enjoyed by all. There was plenty to do and plenty of space to do it in. We are pleased to recommend it and would love to return again.
What an incredible home, location, view and weekend. Five pandemic stressed moms stayed the weekend and really could have never left. The home was immaculate, well stocked with great quality products, and had instructions and descriptions everywhere. There are enough nooks and corners and living spaces to make everyone happy. The upstairs reading nook with the fabulous books was a joy. I never wanted to leave. Thank you to the O'Neal family for sharing this amazing and special place. I will be back. Thank you!
