There are homes in Monterey County that have 30 night minimums per city or county ordinances - the City of Monterey has a 30 day minimum. We prefer to rent our home long term (6 months or more). The monthly rate for a long term tenant is $5,000 per month. On long term rentals, tenant pays for all utilities. For short term rentals (30 days to 180 days), all utilities are included in the base rate.
Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths; this home has approximately 1,600 square feet of livable space; it is situated on a large lot with approximately 7,000 square feet. This fully furnished home comes with all the amenities one would need or expect. Fenced yard, grass in front and in back of the property; very private. Large deck in backyard with BBQ grill. Large family room with board games, books and computers for your enjoyment.

We stayed for 45 days and loved it. The home was in excellent condition, wonderfully appointed with great equipment. The location was superb....5 mins to everything Monterey. We could happily have stayed longer.
You can tell the owner takes pride in his home, because it is immaculate! Not only is the home in tip-top shape, supplied with everything you might need or want, but the backyard is a getaway in itself. The beautiful backyard has a large area for kids to play & a huge deck to hangout & bbq on. The home is in a great location! Easy walk to the wharf, beach, biking path, restaurants & the most amazing aquarium I have ever been too! I can't say enough positive things about this house. The owner is also great. Michael communications almost immediately & is very informative. We'd love to stay here again!
Me and my family lived here for a longer period and had an excellent experience. The neighbors are really pleasant and friendly, with lots of laughter and good advice for checking out the local sights and getting integrated in the community as a temporary citizen. The house is of good standard, and has everything one could ask for in a “home away from home”. When we arrived last year we quickly packed out (lots of available cabinets and drawers) and made a perfect dinner finding everything needed for a good start on a longer stay. The landlord is very easy to communicate with and is doing everything he can to accommodate our desires during the stay. One of our best memories from our time here are from sitting on the patio on the backside, with a (older) grill, but it still makes good meals in a friendly outdoor setting under the tree. We had a great time in this friendly neighborhood.
Great house and picturesque private yard with all the comforts of home. Charming renovated bungalow with great detail and quality furniture and decor!!! Just less than 1 mile to downtown Monterey. Walk everywhere if you want! Bike to Beach, tennis, parks, aquarium, wharf, Cannery Row, farmers markets only minutes away. Great day trips to Carmel, Carmel Valley, Big Sur, Santa Cruz and even San Francisco (2hrs.) Perfect 60's & 70's climate for us 'desert dwellers' wanting to escape the heat.
House is beautiful! Located in town and convenient to beaches, the wharf, restaurants and the aquarium. Back yard is just gorgeous and I loved sitting on the deck and enjoying one of the many books from his library. Peaceful with Lots of room and clean. Would LOVE staying there again. Owners were awesome to work with. Super nice, flexible and great communicators. I can't say enough about this house and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Monterey.
