The house is beautiful, new and clean. Well furnished and equipped with everything one may need. Super comfortable beds. Very nice and responsive host. Will be back again
We had booked this property well in advance for a family vacation. Walking into this house made us awe struck! The pictures are great, but don't quite do the justice it deserves. It makes you feel like you are at home. Every appliance, kitchen item, and space for everything is right there. The other features that caught my eye were that the house is decorated like the owners live there full-time. Most VRBO's seem to take out all the nice decorations- not this house. Keeping nice things in the house for us to enjoy made it feel cozy. It was perfect for entertaining our family of 10 adults with room to spread out. The pool table was a nice option for when the weather wasn't perfect for outdoor activities. The outdoor space, outdoor equipment and amenities left plenty to do as well. Check-in and check-out was easy. If we had to do laundry, everything was supplied. The only thing I recommend is to bring an extra set of paper products as they are given as an initial courtesy, but it is the guests duty to replenish them once they are out. This minor inconvenience did not warrant NOT giving it 5 stars!!! We will definitely consider this property in the future and so should you!
Beautiful property. No complaints at all. It was above and beyond our expectations.
This cabin was absolutely gorgeous. It had everything you need and more. The yard and nice sandy beach were perfect. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. The beds super comfy. We had a wonderful week!!
The property was better than we expected. It was clean, updated, yet rustic. The view of the lake was pristine. Although the water and air were cold for July it did not stop us from having a fabulous northern experience in this beautiful home.
House O Logs has it all. Beautiful well maintained home with unique architecture, owner art work, HD TV in every room, game room with ping pong table and beautiful yard facing lake with boat house and sandy beach and dock on a secluded bay. Nothing not to like here. It rained 4 of 7 days our our recent stay but the house and its amenities kept us entertained. A major ping pong tournament and learning how to train a dragon off the theater size HD TV were but a few of the activities. The kitchen is amazing with anything a pro chef would want to use. It is also close to Tower and Zups and the local Y store for gas, bait and sundries including some grocery items. If that is not enough there is a great kids playground and a tennis/pickelball court a short walk away from the house. All in all a perfect vacation home!! Yes it's expensive. But clearly you get what you pay for with House O Logs.
The log home is definitely nicer than the pictures. We enjoyed boating, tubing, swimming, fishing and relaxing during our week stay. The amenities were great. Many family members enjoyed the paddle board and the kayak. Our accommodations comfortably fit all fourteen family members. Every evening had a cool lake breeze, and more windows with screens facing the lake would have even made our stay much better.
The home and property were beautiful. The lake and fishing were all that we could hope for. A great experience for our entire family. Hoping to do it again!
Beautiful log and stone home, well stocked kitchen, and comfortable beds, even though it rained most of the weekend there were plenty of things to keep us entertained. Thanks for letting us use your lovely cabin, we'll try to make it back next year.
We rented this house for a father and son trip and it was perfect.First, the house and property are simply stunning. Kathryn was very quick to reply to any questions we had. It was amazing all of the different amenities the house had from basic spices, cooking utensils, coolers, the list goes on. The location of the house in a back bay was so nice and great fire pit. Their grill is massive and worked great for us. We hopefully be returning in the future.
Our overall experience was very good. The house handled our large family well. We enjoyed the gathering places, private dock and large yard a lot. House was well stocked, except for toilet paper, hand soap in sinks and large shower towels. The master bedrooms were very nice. Screens on the other bedroom windows would be nice as some of the bedrooms got a little hot. Couldn't open the bedroom windows as bugs could get in without the screens. Or central air if that's possible. The view and area were awesome and we would definitely recommend to others and would book again.
This property was incredible! We had so much fun- wish we could have stayed another week.
House O Logs has everything a family would want. The house itself is amazing and plenty of room for everyone. The dock and beach are great for water sports and fishing (kids caught fish off the dock) and the immaculately maintained lawn was great for family soccer, corn hole (supplied) and just plain running around. The owner Kathryn was very accomodating and available for any questions. 30 minutes to Ely and the Sudan Mine is about 20 minutes away and worth a visit. Boats can be rented close and the Y store and Zups in Tower have everything you might need. The house construction is amazing!! The property is also very private with no neighbors visible...except from the dock. We HIGHLY recommend!!
The cabin is absolutely beautiful. The logs are gorgeous and the room sizes were great. The owner is wonderful to work with. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I thought some of the amenities were lacking. For example I thought the beach chairs were kinda cheap. They were thin plastic chairs and most were broken. The kitchen towels were old and stained, I ended up buying my own. Normally I wouldn't have a big problem with any of this but when I pay top dollar I expect those items would be top of the line. Overall we had a wonderful stay. The location is amazing and the loons were great. I would definitely stay again.
We had a great time at this property! We stayed with 6 adults and 4 children (ages 5 years - 10 months). Everyone was able to have their own space and spread out. The bay this house is on is quiet and pristine. We had a couple of loons (plus one baby) greet us a few times a day! The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the additional refrigerator around the corner in the laundry room as well as pantry. The kids LOVED the large backyard space, beach, and fishing right off the dock! The adults enjoyed beverages on the deck at night and the comfy living room chairs. We were excited to use the canoe at the boat house as well. The owner is very communicative and quick to respond to messages. We also talked about how great the property would be in the winter time as well! Thanks for a great stay for all.
Really enjoyed our stay. Great big house with a yard that the kids loved. Clean, cozy and really great for escaping with a big family for a week long vacation on the lake. Thanks again for everything Kathryn!
We had an extended weekend planned with family and this rental did not disappoint. Not only is the home absolutely beautiful, but the cabin is stocked with games and activities for rain or shine. My only advice is to bring your own stuff if you're worried about child proofing i.e. gates and play pens.
